I just got the PC version of pes2012 and I've hooked it up to my big screen:

As you can see, I've got the data pack 1.00 and version 1.01. I've always played this game on the xbox, so I don't know which mods are good. Any help would be appreciated.

edit: I got the official 1.2 patch now. I want to start a season but I want to get the mods before I start. There's one called smokepatch and there's another called pesedit.com patch.

I'd go with pesedit as they have been doing quite solid job for years now and they are quite suprerior to konami itself as far as editing goes (not that it's saying much). They have plenty of second division leagues to choose from and regular updates.

Just hope you don't need any support from them as the team is composed by a bunch of douchebags. Aside from that, you should be good to go.

On a side note guys, I used PES Patch first of all, then I switched to Fire Patch Vietnam (has all the changes to presentation and all the Sky Sports stuff together with Jenkeys) I thought this was a superb combination.

But after re-formatting my drive on the weekend I gave Pes Stats Database Patch a go, firstly on it's own and then combined with Jenkey's, I have been pleasantly surprised by the results. The Pes Stats guys have changed all the stats into more realistic ones I think (and I think all the speed merchants have been chopped). Together with Jenkey's the AI is fkin immense lol, but in a realistic good way.

Just had a wonderful 2-2 draw v Man U, -2 gamespeed in game and 95 speed in Jenkey's otherwise the game runs too fast. This was on 15 minutes, I've never seen Man Utd so potent, great game it was. I also think that because the stats have been altered hugely things like passing/shooting is more believable and the physics seem better. Added to the ball weight +1 notch heavy on Jenkey's and you now have even more realistic shot trajectory.

Very pleased with it so far.

avesta, an alternative to jenkey's gameplay patch is yair's gameplay patch. I used his patch with PES 2011 and it saved the game for me. There's also a FIFA commentary patch coming out this month that replaces the awful default PES commentary. I used that as well in 2011 and it's a must-have mod. All can be found over at Evoweb.

Very interesting!

Which version do you use? Do you need to uninstall pespatch and/or kitserver before using it? Perhaps even un- and reinstall the whole game?

I did it from scratch again only because I re-formatted the wrong hard drive (oops). So I did install game from scratch, install DLC from game, install the update 1.02. Then installed PES Database Patch, then Jenkey's. Loving it at the moment :) And that's after being a huge champion of Jenkey's mixed with PES Patch and then Jenkey's mixed with Fire Patch Vietnam.

Thanks for the replies.
Anyone know what are the major differences between pesedit and smoke patch?

Smokepatch:

- Correct Names for everything.
- Correct emblems and flags for all teams.
- Bundesliga replaces PES league fake teams.
- Real Leagues in 2D league, choices:
(nPower, Liga adelante, 2.nd Bundesliga, serie B, Ligue 2, Eerste Divisie, Liga Orangina).
- No duplicated players.
- Updated transfers.
- Includes Konami exe 1.2
- Unlocked all extras and max GP points.
- Added new balls.
- Added new boots.
- Added new faces.
- Updated incorrect kits.
- SMoKE full GDB folder
- 12 scoreboard styles to choose from.
- Complete 32 champions league teams.
- And much more...

Pesedit Patch:
PESEdit 2012 Patch 2.3 New Features:

Added newest kitserver including GDB module: ALL kits in GDB now instead of bins
New faces: Alderweireld, Ameobi, Arevalo, Contreras, Draxler, El Shaarawy, Gago, Holebas, Holtby, Jones, Kapinos, Koutsianikoulis, Leonardo, Lucas, Makos, Menez, Sandro, Seedorf, Shaqiri, Steven Taylor, Taarabt, Thiago, Zieler, Zuniga, and more
New kits:
Lots of new 'euro' kits for European competitions: Atletico, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Lille, Napoli, Tottenham and many more!
Completely reworked national team kits + more new EURO 2012 kits
Other new kits: BATE, Dortmund, Sunderland, Swansea, Viktoria Plzen, West Bromwich, Zenit and many more!
Other: More boots & accesories corrected; ESPN scorebaord updated

PESEdit 2012 Patch 2.3.1 Fix Features:

Phil Jones face fixed
Championship kits fixed
Rostock and Uniao de Leiria map fixed

Is this even the correct version of pesedit patch? There seem to be a lot of versions, it's utterly confusing.
