[KITS] 2020/21 Kits by Kit Man Cal

Mods, feel free to delete/move if seen as necessary. Just want to quickly introduce myself:

I used to be CDKitMaker. To those of you unaware, I was a guy who used to frequently post my kits on here. To those of you who know me, I went away due to circumstances out of my control preventing me from having the time and ability to continue.

As well as this, I was receiving multiple messages every day, usually impolitely and impatiently asking me to make fantasy kits, or classic kits, or kits for unpopular lower division teams that weren't in the game. In short, it got a bit too much for me, and the stress was something I could do without. But now I have returned.

"Why not continue as CDKM?" you may ask. Simple, because I grew to see this community as my comrades, and I feel at this point forward, I should just be me, and not hide behind a mysterious alter ego.

With so many talented kit makers already in this community, you may not even use these kits. However, kit making is one of my greatest joys in my grey and dull life, and it'd be a shame if I didn't share them.

I plan to make the kits for all unlicensed teams in game, as well as the MLS - at 2048px and 1024px resolution. I'll also be adding custom manager head icons, but this will be a bigger database, as managers change like underwear - so having one big collection instead of lots of individual collections, makes it easier for me to organize, and easier for you to find/change your managers around to match the real world.

Anyway, without further ado, this thread will be my form of communicating with the community. I'll reply when I can, but you can find the kits, manager icons, and emblems, at my new blog: eFPES.blogspot.com, and follow me on Twitter @twitter.com/KitManCal

Hello again, friends. I hope you are well! Sorry for being so quiet as of late - I have family and friends who have sadly contracted the COVID-19 virus, and I've been helping sort them out... but they're doing well! :D

This year, I wanted to do something different - something that would give back to the community. I wanted to wait until this was finished before releasing it to the public - but in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, I feel I should share what I have right now.

One of the most frequent questions I've been asked over the past few years in the WEPES community and among other football game communities, is "How can I create my own kits?"

There are many ways to make kits, and some are easier than others. I've decided to create my own teamwear database, free for the public to use (because the only time you'll ever have to pay for a kit I create will be if Konami ever hires me to work on a future eFootball PES game). So far, it only contains Adidas teamwear, though I will eventually add Nike, Puma, Umbro, and New Balance, as well as a Miscellaneous section for manufacturers that don't release more than a few templates (Kappa, Under Armour, etc.)

Now, here's where it gets tricky. Because brands such as Adidas tend to mix and match their teamwear for different clubs, I've decided to separate all parts of the kit into (SHIRT/SHORTS/SOCKS). An easy way to describe why I've chosen this method, is as follows:

Imagine creating a full kit template. Now imagine the exact same kit, but the shorts are a different style. Would it be more practical to create the whole template again with different shorts (that can be exported quickly), or to create all of the separate pieces that can be freely mixed and matched together (that takes 3x longer to export).

To use these files successfully, you must open one of the .XCF/.PSD files (for GIMP or Photoshop, respectively), and edit the shirt, shorts, or socks to your desired look. Once done, export the section of the kit and ensure it is exported as a .PNG file with transparent background. This is essential, as you will be taking the exported .PNG pieces of kit, and pasting them into one final .PNG where the whole kit is made together.

(How the exported .PNG pieces should look)

Once exported, simply place the kit(s) in your WEPES folder, and import into your game! These kits will work on PC and PlayStation. Below is an example of how the kit should look in game, once you have applied all the pieces together into one .PNG file!

Proberly just how to edit the template , thanks for the reply

I cannot help. I checked your program and it seems to complicated for an average use like me. I use PAINT.NET which is something better than MSpaint and below Photoshop. With PAINT.NET i edit everything. It seems pretty easy for me, that i am not so skilled at Photoshop.

Hey guys, girls, and every one of you beautiful people in between! Thanks for the kind words and positive vibes - fortunately the people around me who have been fighting this awful virus have all recovered, but this sadly isn't the case for so many right now. We all need to look out for one another, and ourselves, too - and the community has grown bigger and closer than ever!

I'm still working on the teamwear - turns out the Nike teamwear for 2020/21 are majorly intricate and detailed. Unfortunately, COVID-19 has pushed back many Nike kit releases, so I've only managed to make the jerseys for the new 2020 Vaporknit collection. My reference photos have come from medium-quality leaks, and websites selling fakes - so I'd say my Vaporknit pattern is about 85% accurate.

Anyway, I've attached the variants I've made so far. The layer titled "Overlay" is the Vaporknit fabric, and I recommend you adjust the opacity of this layer only, as it's still a work in progress - and the layer looks better on lighter colours, meaning you might want to make it slightly more transparent if you use dark colours on your kits. There isn't much difference between a some of the variants - mostly things like the collar or side stripes...

Use Collar 12 with Variant E, Collar 2 with Variants B and G. All other variants can be used with any collar!

Also, I've made a few of the 2020/21 jerseys. I don't want to release them yet, because (except for Juventus), I haven't been able to make the shorts/socks for any of them. But as soon as I have, I'll release them. Not all kits are 100% accurate. For example, I've seen a lot of 2020 Adidas kits be created with a black "HEATRDY" tag on the bottom right of the jersey - but on the actual officially released Japan jersey, it's silver... so I'm not yet sure if the clubs actually have a black tag, or if it's silver and the leaked photos make it look black! Below is a preview.

Finally, I'll post the Juventus 2020/21 home kit. Use Collar 1, and the RGB for jersey and shorts is 53-53-53.

Welcome back Cal!!

Was gutted to see you go, and delighted you came back. Just can’t stay away huh?! I’m the same, have it up in 2014 and came back last year.

This year’s game has inspired me to edit again. I’m rebuilding my stats converter right now. And I’ve never been able to make my own kits. Instead of feeling like I’m pressuring people like you, I really wanna learn to make my kits accurately.

This year I’ve only been using the PESMaster kit creator, and it’s been great. But there’s a few kit designs I can’t make work on there.
Definitely going to have a try using the files you’re sharing.

Thanks dude!
