...The whole point is that the only strenght PES has over Fifa besides gameplay is the ability to edit the game...so this should be their focus:tongue:.
I just hate this man...this game has so much potential to be the G.O.A.T but Konami just keeps pulling the plug every goddamn time.:erm:

Rzio, its ok to go on your little rant about PES this and how your hopes and dreams of it being better blah blah...but ...get this str8 bro. PES is no where near Fifa in any part of its shitty game.

Most of what you stated in "hopes" (will never happen) of Konami bringing to PES, already exists in Fifa. You may be surprised by this move by Konami but the 1200 fans they have left have been experiencing this shit for over 2 decades now.

Don't get it twisted mate....Fifa Dominates The Universe! No Competition!

PES is dead and has been for a lllllllooong time now. Running on Zombie mode now

Peace

PES ain't dead. We still have a decent community. You want proof? Just look around. Is this game dead when we have all of this Option Files, Youtube videos/channels, the hype for a new game every year, etc? I don't think so.

I played both PES and FIFA and I have to say, PES gameplay is much better in my opinion. Still needs to improve in some aspects (collisions, fouls) but it feels more natural than FIFA. Also, player faces in PES look better in my opinion.

But there's one thing PES absolutely dominates over FIFA, with no doubts: customization. Does editing exist on FIFA? Can you create a league you want? Can you create your local team on FIFA and play carreer mode with it? In FIFA, you need to stick with the EA's team list (which is not bad, but it could be even better). In PES, you want a team, you can have it. Konami needs to improve the editing part, right now it's what is keeping the game alive.

EA Sports isn't much better than Konami. They just have more money. I don't know how much time will take for FIFA fans to realize they have been buying the same game for years, just with small changes. If cheating players is "dominating the universe", then FIFA is winning. Probably the biggest change was from FIFA 16 to 17, since they started with Frostbite engine and added The Journey, etc., but other than that, they don't change that much. For example, when I played FIFA 15 and then I tried FIFA 16 I didn't notice any difference.

Also, I think FIFA feels a bit "commercial", everything "feels like plastic" while PES is more open and allows you to edit, create and have a better interaction with the game. FIFA only sells because of licenses and because of their marketing. If you put EA and Konami with the same amount of money, probably Konami would win. Of course, that's just my opinion.

:shocking:

Deluded!

I'm not deluded. I am aware that Konami won't listen to this, I'm not dumb. But they should listen to the fans to understand what they really want.

You don't have to create your own league at fifa! Almost every league is there!??

About changes? I'm sure fifa has always more changes then pes! I play pes for a few years and NOTHING changes! The gameplay of fifa changes always! I was in div 2 at fifa 17 and got my *ss kicked at DIV 8 in 18!! Blood sweat and tears till i got in div 2 in 18! They changed even the game engine! At 18 for offline new ORIGINAL scoreboards from bundesliga, la liga santander,.. . There are enough other changes.

What does pes each new game then? Please tell me?? I'm a fan of both! Konami doesn't give shit about weather conditions: not some fog or snow or whatever! The field and sky are always clear as mirror like it's always summer??

Well, I didn't say that PES changes much. I just said I didn't notice much difference, for example, from FIFA 15 to 16. I even mentioned the game engine change on my post above. I think FIFA does change, maybe a little bit more than PES, but I think the changes made (not only if FIFA, but also in PES) aren't enough to make us buy a brand new game for it's price. Also, another thing I forgot to say above is that FIFA doesn't give enough attention to small teams. If you go to a smaller league you don't have GK kits, for example. In PES, you see that even small teams (licensed ones, of course, for example, the french Ligue 2 teams) get their real kits and details.

But I understand your point of view. I like FIFA but I play more PES, so probably you know FIFA better than me... :innocent:

But regarding changes on PES, I know they aren't much, but let me make a list of changes I noticed in these last years:

- Gameplay was changed, I noticed a difference in the way the game plays (for the better) from PES 2017 to PES 2018.
- Goalkeppers were also improved, in PES 2018 they make better saves more often. Bugs still happen, but they are much better :D
- Graphics were also improved from PES 2017 to PES 2018. Player faces, for example, are more realistic.
- In terms of content, it could be better, but they have added some new things. From PES 2016 to PES 2017/2018 they have added more slots for kit importing (if you import them in small size), more collar models for kits, more stadiums, both generic (those are important too since not every team can have a licensed stadium) and licensed (Anfield, Wanda Metropolitano...), the ability to edit those fake teams in other european teams that poluted our ML (from PES 2016 to 2017), the export/import team feature that is so important for us... etc.

But I agree that there are many changes that Konami needs to do. As you said, they could add more climate conditions. Snow and fog would be good already :D But they seem lazy. Can't they add snow? Damn, is it so hard?
Another thing that would be nice was dynamic weather and time. For example, you start a game in a cloudy afternoon and during the game the time would actually pass, it would get darker and the game would end in a rainy night, for example.
In terms of content, as I already said, they could add more options for us to edit. Why not? Maybe some more leagues, including a generic european league with 2 tiers. And the option for us to change the nationality of a team. And another option for us to remove/edit the player miniface that appears on game plan (would be nice for editors).

Regarding the leagues, FIFA has many leagues but there are many leagues that they forgot. FIFA leagues are enough if when you're the regular player who likes to play in Premier League, La Liga, etc. But not everyone is like that. I'll use my case as an example: I like a good challenge, and that includes lesser known leagues and lower divisions. Here are some of the interesting leagues that aren't in FIFA (and that we can create in PES):

- Chinese League (this one should be a priority, many people like it)
- Greece League (just like PES, FIFA also has 4 teams from Greece, why not full league?)
- Croatia League (seriously FIFA, not even Dinamo Zagreb and Rijeka?)
- Czech League
- Some african football, like South Africa league, Egypt League, or even CAF Champions League.
- Portuguese 2nd league (seriously, they have Germany 3rd league, why not even 2nd portuguese league, a country which have so many good young talents? I think it would be good for Carreer mode. I've been creating this league for PES 18 and it attracted some interest so far ;))

- Also, FIFA has troubles licensing Brazil league, Chile league, Italian Serie B, some portuguese teams, several national teams, etc. On PES we can fix those problems; on FIFA we can't. So, in several cases, PES ends up being more authentic than FIFA, even without licenses.

I could keep writing more suggestions and more leagues but I think this post is already long enough... (I'm sorry I made you read all of this... Congratulations if you did )

I didn't knew that the smaller teams in fifa doesn't have gk kits and whatever but i don't care as i never play with smaller less "unknown" teams but i agree that we are better there with pes! We have alot freedom and can do what we want. But what i miss with pes is the ability to change hair or outfit of licensed players like pogba, ronaldo,.. because they change from hair color too in real life?? Annoying but ok.

Honestly, all the leagues you said which aren't included in fifa i don't care man but it's personal preference. I understand that a Greek maybe would like to have the Greek competition or a Brazilian that wishes their league were licensed but to me the most important ones are just there. I only play online divisions so.. .

About dynamic weather conditions in pes i think it's in there but i'm not sure. It's like i began a few games with clear weather which turned in rainy. But again yeps.. is it so hard and expensive to add snow and some fog?? Look at a real game in San Siro? It's a foggy chaos with smoke bombs and next to the field you see alot stuff thrown by the public but where's that atmosphere in pes?? It's just always too clear and far from reality.

Another small thing for example is the barcelona logo in the grass in camp nou.. barca is a fully licensed team right in pes?? Where are the logos then just like in real life?? Huh?? :shocking:

What bothers me alot in fifa is that TOP teams like bayern and Real has even pre-made basic faces like Süle and Assensio! Both have exact the same pre-made face and that for a FULLY LICENSED team as Bayern??? Come on please!!! :crymore: Let alone how would the players look like of the smaller leagues you would like to see in fifa?? But ea tries to be smart by using real photos in the mini-faces!

Both games has their pros and cons but i'm sure if konami had the selling records and the budget of ea THEY WOULD BE THE KING!!!

As for the gameplay: yes i like pes more! The passing and the early crosses are delicious and just like in real! Early crosses is horrible in fifa. In pes you can cross from anywhere! But what pes sucks at is like we all know: never penaltys! I play pes since 16 and i think i didn't have one penalty nor the opponnent!!??

Btw: "Chinese League"?? Are you serious that it's popular?? Ok i can understand that chinese people like it but non-chinese people too??

Personally i think that the biggest problems of ea and konami are that both are not TOP football countrys! Ea is from canada and konami japan! It's like that Italy or Spain would produce the NFL series??? +both are lazy as hell! You should know that ea scanned so many player faces but they didn't used it??

Ending: thank you for the long reply and i've read it pleasure! We all can keep writing but i wonder if it'll make any difference!

Yes the leagues are a question of preference. That's why PES is king in there: You can create the league of your preference. :D

Dynamic weather is partially on PES. It might start raining when you choose cloudy weather, but it's not like "real" dynamic weather. I would be nice if it started raining, then it could stop raining and it would turn into sunny weather with some clouds, for example.
Also, as I mentioned before, it would be nice to start a game at the sunset, for example, and end it at night.
Racing games have been doing this for years now, I don't think it would be that hard to do in a football game.

Penalties are very rare, I think I only got 2 in PES 2017, one of them is here on this video. Check minute 4:30 (there's also a very nice goal at minute 9:30):

People like chinese league probably not because of the teams, but because of all those players who go to China. Like Oscar, Hulk, Ramires, Witsel, Gaitán, etc. That's why I think it is important to have it. ;)

:shocking: Chinese, Greek and African Leagues? Nobody plays those leagues...absolutely no one!

Seems like you spend a lot of time playing footie games bruh..

You are a typical PES player who loves playing against the AI and celebrating on how great the game is.

Let me explain the difference between PES and Fifa Fans....
PES fans do not like to play against real human players. They love nice player faces and graphics. Hate losing even to the AI and absolutely FEAR real competition. Period. This is the reason ConArmy has just totally ignored their online servers. Decades ago! Facts!
ConArmy has figured out their fan base over decades ago.

Fifa players (Zidane can attest to this) We dont give a fuck about player faces! We want to go online and fuck up some guys day and stats by kicking the living daylights out of real human players. I just love that shit. Now, there are days that I get hammered reeeeall bad and I hate the dude. But I want to play him again or anyone else who i can release my anger on. Fifa players absolutely loves real life competition with real human players. I hate playing against the AI. Boooriinggg real quick.

There.

Now question ...do you prefer to play against the AI or humans?

I share your views as well about "minor leagues".

With the face details, EA had released info on that stating the faces are just usually used in the replays or "cut scenes". They can use high quality faces but it eats up the spaces on the game's memory. Furthermore, they pointed out the the models used on the field are low profile 3D models. This enables them to run smoother frame rates and fluid transitions on game play. Hence the inclusion of the game changing 360 movement game play they have introduced almost a decade now.

However, many PES players do not know that PES remains a 16 directional game play game. Therefore you can feel and see the horrific sharp turns in animations, running, shooting ...just abysmal.
But the few PES players like that. Also, PES plays beautiful on its flaws and not on its graphics. Lobs and Squares into the 18 are the most effective attack ..whilst defense is non existent ..again, because of the lack of 360 movement. You tackle and miss, the defender is dead.
Recovery is non existence.

Although Fifa has its issues, the basic fundamentals are solid. Unique and innovative ideas bleed into the game from the visionaries at EA.
The collision system, the fixes in Tiky Tacky passing, Def player animations real to life celebrations, and most of all a very very solid ONLINE PRESENCE.

PES cannot hold a candle to Fifa.

I have been here for 16 years. I have seen change.....Fifa rules the universe!

You can add to your FIFA fans description "Likes to annoy others". Also, if FIFA is made to release your anger on other people and ''f*ck up'' other players online, FIFA is doing exactly the opposite of what a football game should do.

First of all, everything you said was just stereotypes (and not even good ones). Not everyone is the same. I have never seen a PES fan saying that PES is so great and so amazing (instead, I see lots of people complaining about Konami). In fact, that looks like the description of a FIFA fan to me.

How do you know that no one cares about those minor leagues? If I am talking about them, if I see people from those countries playing football games, if I see people doing patches and OF's of those leagues, it's because there is interest on them. Just because you don't care about those leagues, it doesn't mean everyone thinks the same way. Where are you from? Are you aware of what's going on with the world around you and outside your country?

What about the FIFA and PES fans? The one who like both games? I like both, they both have it's pros and cons, I prefer PES because of the editing and freedoom, but I like FIFA, specially Ultimate Team. If they made a game with ideas from both, it would be awesome. But it will never happen.

I like to play both against the AI and real players. And I don't consider myself an average PES fan. Of course I like great graphics and realistic faces, who doesn't? But I don't hate to lose, even against the AI. You have to learn to win but also learn to lose. Also, there are million of things we should hate in the world: hunger, war, corruption, etc. And losing in a videogame isn't one of them. And I don't celebrate how great the game is; in fact, I pointed out SEVERAL TIMES how much it needs to improve. I think you got the wrong idea of me. If you knew me better you wouldn't say so.

I like football in general, not only Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga and the other "big teams", but also like "small football", from small leagues and countries, where football is more pure, without so many concerns about the money. That is why I like to make and play with the small teams in PES too: they remind me that there are still many places where football is a sport, a passion, and not a business. And I am not alone: Search for the "All National Teams" thread in PES 2017 forum and you'll see the passion I am talking about.

You say it is boring to play against the AI. But isn't it boring to play always with the same teams and players? Real Madrid, Barça, etc.? There are thousands and thousands of other teams in the world.

Also, you don't care about small football because you're being influenced by society and media. I bet that if they broadcast Andorra's league matches on TV you would have at least a little interest on it. You only care about the big teams because that's all they talk about. There's more football beyond that. You have to widen your horizons. Search more, try to know more and and don't be limited to what you see on TV. That way you'll understand how it feels.

One last thing: Even if someone likes to play against the AI, there's nothing wrong with that. Games are meant to be played the way you want to play it. If you don't want to play online, you don't have too. If you want to play on the easiest difficulty, what's the problem with it? Why would you force someone into a hard difficulty or into a real competition?

I sincerely apologize if I have offended you in any way. I was not trying to single you out in person ..just my general perception of PESfans. I was one of them. I love PESfans but i have a passionate hate towards Conarmy, Seabass aka "the fish" and Adam Battyboy...and maybe my ex-wife falls in the mix somewhere there.

I see that you love your footie games, as I stated before and you have all rights to your views and opinions. Dont take is personal. :(

However, I still do like to fuck up players online. It make me feels good about myself.
I cannot fix world hunger and war and shit like that ...but i can fuck up someones stats on Ultimate Team.

I admit that I am also influenced by society. I like Instagram whores and Snapchat... but I know that outside of you (nothing wrong with that bro..) ..nobody and I repeat nobody really cares about minor leagues. The big names such as Hulk is also on the national teams.

Fifa introduced the womens league I played it a couples times and I like the asses on the girls but their boobs never really bounced enough.
Don't play no more.

Please do not pay me much attention, I am just a Fifa player who likes competition online.

have a nice day

peace

I didn't get offended, don't worry, I just got a bit annoyed at the moment, maybe I don't like stereotyping, I think every person is different, and we should not make statements about someone based on stereotypes, I think. But don't worry, it's ok now ;) Also, sorry if I offended FIFA or any of it's fans, now that I read again, that second paragraph I wrote sounds a bit rude.

Just to clear things out, I'm not one of those fans of "Conarmy" that you mentioned. I have my reasons to play more PES than FIFA, and if PES 2019 isn't good enough, I won't buy it, I am not a fanatic.

Everyone has the right of having their own opinion, but I am sure you are wrong when you say I am the only one who care about small leagues. Of course, "minor" football fans aren't as many as Premier League or La Liga fans, but still you can't say I am the only one. If you need proof, check not only the thread I've mentioned before (about the national teams), but if you search the internet deeper, you'll find many things dedicated to small football. For example, did you know that there is a World Cup for Non-FIFA nations? At least for me, it is interesting to discover and explore more, and know that there's more football outside that football we see on TV. I'll leave a link for a very nice channel called "Other Football", which is dedicated to small leagues and teams: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCy7KH7ZmxP42VESGKW0aX3A

And, just to strenght my idea, here's another thing: a derby between Lusitania Lourosa and União de Lamas, teams that are on the district competitions of Aveiro, Portugal, attracted almost 10.000 people, which is much more than the average attendance of many of first division teams here in portugal. You can't say those people don't care about small football (in this case, their own local small football):

I don't have anything against "big football". I like it. Who doesn't like to see the best players in the world? I just think we can like both big teams and small teams. Small teams can be as important as big teams. Don't you see, for example, Ostersunds? I've never heard about it until I saw how they surprisingly qualified for Europa League. Or RB Salzburg? Who would say they would reach Europa League Semifinals? Also, the best players in the world often come from small teams. Cristiano Ronaldo, for example, started playing in Andorinha, a small team from Azores that you probably never heard of. Then it went to Nacional (another "small" team), then Sporting and then Man. United and Real Madrid. And I could keep the entire night writing more examples, but the point is, without small teams there won't be big teams.

Online competition is good, I have nothing against it, I played lots of competitive online games, from CoD, to Gran Turismo, FIFA UT and Rocket League. But I also like to play offline. We can like both things and I don't see any problem with that :D

(This thread was supposed to be about the loss of UEFA license, and see where the conversation went... Sorry for the "off-topic" parts :innocent:)

Peace my friend

I have concerns...

So, I have read a few posts, but not all. Sorry about that!

If Adam Bhatti is right, the Champions League & Europa League images and audio are the only benefits of the license, then I understand why Konami have lost the contract.
However... if PES lose most of the European clubs which are a part of the game as we know it (inc 2-3 English Clubs, Dortmund, Barcelona etc) then this game is in trouble. And i'll be damned if Konami thinks "the editors" will do all of the work! Think again!

So... let's assume everything will be the same as PES 2018 with the exception of no official UCL or Europa League, the Konami need to revamp the Edit Mode.
We'll need:
Audio Soundbites additions (music and crowd chants) for competitions
Trophy Select per competition
Competition colour scheme
Names and Numbers on kits need updated fonts.
7th Skin Tone for players. Henry, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho etc
GET RID OF THE EYELASHES! It looks like eyeliner!
Bigger and Wider Lips option
Lips colour tone needs flattening. Currently looks like lip gloss!
Stadium Editor
More spaces for images
More spare leagues
Old Preset Faces in the "pre-set face" selector. (Like PES 5 used to have)

Anything else, I'll add it here!

You can add to your list (those changes are not only about editing) ;):

- More weather conditions: Snow, foggy, sunny with some clouds.
- Dynamic weather and time (things like starting a game at the sunset and ending it at night)
- Changing team nationality (that affect banners, Master League and also the supporters at the stadium - it wouldn't be much realistic if you create a chinese or african team and every supporter was caucasian, right?).
- An option to choose how full the stadium is on exhibition and Cup/League mode, and also in ML/BAL adjust that (you wouldn't choose yourself, but the game would "calculate" how many supporters would be at the stadium). When you see a 2nd league match between 2 weak teams you don't expect the stadium to be always full, right?
- A ".ped" (Player Edit Data) file, that would allow you to export and import a single player (could be useful, for example, if we wanted to add a few player faces like yours ;))
- Importing things like banners, flags (those that the supporters hold during matches) or balls in .png file (like on PC)
- More slots for images (kits, logos, etc.)
- An option to create leagues from ground zero would be nice. But if that isn't possible, add more generic leagues for us to edit. An african league (seriously, they have a team from africa - Pleasure Horn - and it's always that team that makes it into Club World Cup. And we can't even edit it normally) and some european league with 2 tiers/divisions.
- An option to create a national team when you have enough players from that country in-game. At least 30-32 or so. If that isn't possible, at least they should add some new ones. More teams from Africa - at least 2, so we can play a 16 team tournament; plus Trinidad & Tobago (to make a more realistic CONCACAF WC qualification) and some more from Asia and Europe (Finland, Luxembourg, etc.)

I agree if a country has atleast 32 players you should be able to create a national team.
