Hi everyone I think many of us are getting unable to enter matchroom error/not being able to find opponents in MLO/Ranked matches.

This is my conversation with Konami(my queries are posted in Italic and Konamis replies are posted in Bold letters)...

Hey I got my copy of PES13 BLES and I connect to UK servers I am from India I had
no problem connecting to any match lobby on PES9,10(xbox live),11,12(PSN)
but whenever i try to join a friendly match lobby it shows me establishing
connection for a minute or 2 and then it says that I cannot connect the room :(
this is too bad never faced a problem like this before....
also id like to inform that i can play MLO quick matches and ranked exhibition
matches online without a problem, without any lag...
its just that it won't let me connect to any room in friendly lobby
few others are facing a problem similar to mine here you can check the post

Dear customer,

Thank you very much for contacting the Konami customer support team.

We can assure you that our servers are up and running, although we are aware that this issue has come up for some players and we are therefore investigating it.
In order to help you further, we need to ask you to go through the following steps to make sure that you have everything set up to ensure that PES 2013 has the best connection to the Internet that it can.

Step 1. If you are playing on an Xbox 360 or PS3, make sure that your firmware is up to date.

Step 2. Make sure that there is nothing that could be interfering with your network. For example P2P networks, streaming TV, Mobile Devices and Virus Protection/Firewall software. We cannot recommend the usage of W-Lan or websticks. If you use one of the mentioned devices in order to connect to the Internet, please switch to a wired broadband connection in order to improve the connection stability and speed.

Step 3. Check your router setup. PES 2013 needs certain ports open so that it can communicate with the Internet properly. You can change basic port setting from within PES 2013 by heading to 'System Settings' in the main menu. We recommend that you change Port Settings to 'Automatic'.
Further to this, you may need to open specific ports manually by configuring your router. As we cannot support all specfic router makes and models, we recommend that you visit www.portforward.com where you will be able to find setup advise for the router that you have.
Here are the ports that PES 2013 needs to be opened in order to properly connect to the Internet -

PC:

TCP: 80, 44, 4000-4200
UDP: Auto mode: 3658, 5730-5739
Manual mode: It is possible to set any UDP port number from the "settings.exe" in the Konami Start menu folder.

PS3:

TCP: 80, 443, 5000-5200
UDP: Auto mode: 3658, 5730-5739 *default is 3658
Manual mode: It is possible to set any port UDP number from "Port Settings" menu on the "System Settings" in the PlayStation main screen.

Xbox360:
TCP: 53, 80, 3074
UDP: 53, 88, 3074
* based on the Xbox Live port information http://support.microsoft.com/kb/908874/uk?sd=xbo

For further information concerning how to set up your router connections, please refer to the manual or contact the customer support of your network provider.

If you are still having trouble going online in PES 2013 after the following the above steps, please tell us your platform (PC, PS3, Xbox360), the type of internet connection you are using (Wifi, LAN, Ethernet) and the country you are writing to us from.

Best regards,

Hi thanks for the speedy reply....but I have done pretty much everything that is mentioned by you in the reply.I don't use wifi to play online via PS3 as I am aware that encrypted wifi is slower and that other devices creates disturbance to wifi.....I had already forwarded the ports as it is essential to do so to play on PSN smoothly some games like Motorstorm need exclusive port be open so I always open ports required for games I purchase [In short I had already port forwarded and applied my ps3s ip in DMZ zone...thats how i played pes11,12 on PSN Smoothly)
.Also i changed the port setting on PES13 to manual to check if it made any difference it didnt so i switched it back to AUTO.

I from Mumbai,India I am using MTNL broadband (router with ethernet cable) .....ping from my computer to your konami server based in japan '210.148.52.143 ' is usually around 280 milli seconds...I play on PS3 320 gb Slim
sometimes I can join games sometimes it wont let me join games doesnt matter i try to join 15 differnet rooms...it won't even let me join ranked matches or MLO matches...
me and my friend keep on experimenting on a forum about what the problem could be as many of them are facing similar problems on PS3 and PC...many of them who face the same problem as I do claim that they could play flawlessly on 20th when the servers were up and have been facing the same problem since 21st and no solution till yet....

Thank you for your reply.

We would like to thank you for your cooperation and patience while we have been looking into this issue.

Thanks to your help, we are now aware of an issue involving Avatar registration failure as users try to log in to the online mode of PES 2013. This failure is caused by data loss while information travels from your computer to the Konami servers and it can often be solved by repeated log in attempts and trying to log in at different times of the day. Using a wired connection and resetting your router has also helped some customers. To reset your router -

- Unplug the router

- Disconnect your device

- Wait 15 seconds

- Plug your router back in

- When the router is up and running, reconnect your device.

We are working very hard to fix this issue on our end and we hope to have a solution soon.

Thank you for your cooperation and patience.

Best regards,

Is this the same issue that exists since PES11 ? :O if yes i cannot believe that it has not been solved yet..... I can't believe that this is happening with me as PES10,11,12 worked flawlessly with me
or this is some new issue exclusive to pes13?

please reply

Thank you for your reply.

This is a new issue that is affecting people with un stable Internet connection.

Best regards,

I wonder if the last reply suggests that some of us die hard PES fan should wave PES online a goodbye :|

If my connection was unstable I wouldn't be able to play so many games online on xbox live,PSN over the years.
I have not had problem connecting to any game online ever.not even a major lag issue

What do you guys think ?

Baffling. Do they know that (at least on the PS3) you already need to have the latest firmware as a prerequisite for signing into the PSN?

It takes hours to find anyone online and I think we should see what next week's patch does.

A darn shame considering they released what I believe is the best PES since 06 only to mess up the online.

Their last reply looks very vague about internet connection being stable/unstable makes me think Konami are trying to be evasive about this particular issue.

Is this where we start to sing to konami "you don't know what you're doing, you don't know what your doin!!" Or " you're not fit to referee..changed to you're not fit to connect me!!

ML online is unplayable for me as it takes way too long to find an opponent. Unfortunately, it looks like I will be shifting to FIFA . . . ugh never thought this day would come.

I don't think the PORTS are the issue here, I can play vs some users but I can't play vs another users for example.

X has a room I try to enter but no luck I can't and I receive the message "Unable to enter" then other guy tries to enter X's room and he did it.

Then I try to enter Y room and I can.

Maybe there's some issue here that are escaping us...

But Konami is really shitty in supporting their costumers, it's ironic that they created one of the best PES ever but it's full of issues.

BTW my Connection is 60MB and never had issues in PES 2010, 11 or 12.

For the most part, it is something on Konami's end. They really do need to sort this shit out or they will be losing a lot of loyal gamers.

What pisses me off the most is their SILENCE, they remove gamemodes like LEGEND ONLINE and LEAGUE and they don't say anything to the fans/costumers, they have several and huge issues in the online modes and don't say anything.

Like I said it's ironic to have an amazing game like PES2013(maybe the best PES for PS3) and having all this issues.

Cheers

Agreed. It seems as though in order for Konami to improve in one area, they must take away from another. ME online has never been this bad for me, and I have played online the last 3 iterations.

How can ports ever be the issue when their portal sites software shows that we can play manual/ranked matches ...and that Port setting when set to ok shows connection test succesful.

I think Konami has no idea whats wrong with their server and they are just R&Ding.

How does Konami solve loss of data from their server end to some of the online players? by tweaking their servers which they aren't.
If you ask me its either a hit or a miss there are no guarantees that Konami will be able to completely solve this issue.

I have maybe 30 friends in PSN that used to play PES, this year maybe 50% of them changed to FIFA13 because of this and because of Konami choice to remove LEGEND ONLINE, PES is losing fans not because is worse to FIFA but because Konami choices and issues in PES2013.

Sadly...

This is my reply :

Even though I cannot connect with most of foreigners(which I assume them to be as I can only read their language EN and as not many Indians I know of play PES) in friendly match lobbies ...
Everytime I invite my fellow Indian friends from different cities to play a friendly with me I have been able to play online 100 percent each and every time one of my friend was even on just 256 kb/ps speed but I was able to play with him without lag.we've played about 50 matches so far me and my 2 friends each and every time able to connect to each other at different timings so how does that make me have a unstable connection?

Is Konami working on solving this issue where we aren't able to connect to friendly matches lobbies with foreigners? please reply ......

Okay, but your grammar is quite bad. Considering that those who read this message may not have the best grasp of the English language, they may not be able to interpret the points you are trying to make - I was barely able to understand the points you were making.

Playing someone from so far away majority of the time results in lag. If I had the choice I'd only ever play Europeans.

Got another reply from konami today :

Dear Pranav,

Thank you very much for contacting the Konami Support Team.

When searching for an opponent, the game will try to find a player that can easily connect to you. This is to ensure the fastest and most lag free game for you and your opponent. This often means that players in your country will be picked first. The October patch will bring some changes in that will give the opponent search a wider range and should help you find one quicker.

Best regards,

Alex

I am sorry if you feel this way but I wasn't really concentrating on my English while I was making a reply to Konami.

There have been instances where they do not make relevant reples to your questions, if they think that a reply will bring any trouble to them.
I have made quite a few replies in the past about R&D i've done about 'unable to enter match room' erorr but they had avoided my questions and since then I have never been really sure if they would ever make a relevant reply.

since then I found it foolish to spend more than 2 minutes to make a reply to Konami.

Even if you closely observe their final reply it does not state anything about 'friendly match lobbies' about which the enquiry was made.

I think I am able to get through my point to Konami and that is more than enough :)

Wouldn't make any difference if he wrote it in fuckin Japanese they still wouldn't get the point! I'm actually of the belief that Konami sold pes years ago to Taiwan as I can't believe a Japenese company would release a product consistently with such poor quality levels. Heads need to roll..
