BELIEVE
So without giving away spoilers, how is everyone doing on the game, or has done on the game?

I'm only around 20% of the way in so far, and while I always find the clues, I tend to be just average at interviews, often scoring 2/3 out of say 4 correct. Sometimes it isn't even a matter of if I think the interviewee is withholding information, I think it's a matter sometimes of whether they're even aware of all the information and instead of 'doubting' them for lying, it can essentially be seen as doubting them due to their ignorance if this makes sense. That's the feeling I get anyway which is making the interview process so much harder.

I was expecting the game to last a little longer though, as I've only been playing a couple of hours or so. I'm guessing the cases become longer over time and more difficult.

Does everyone restart missions, or accept their failed interview processes?

I tend to find most of the clues. I got my trophy for finding 95% of all clues in the end.

With regards to the interviews, you can usually tell if they're not telling the truth, obviously the difficult part is knowing whether it's doubt or a lie. If you have the evidence to prove it's a lie, then call it, but if you don't have the evidence, call it doubt. This is where I think there could be improvements. For example, instead of there being a right answer and two wrong ones, you could employ different techniques to get the answers out of someone. If they're a bit of a prick, you have to be more aggressive, but if they're a decent enough person, but still witholding info, you could be a bit more understanding.

I did restart a couple of times when I COMPLETELY ballsed up an interrogation towards the end of the game.

How many cases have you done? I find that most of the cases tend to take 45mins to 1hr.

I'm probably 80% done. I'm on the first case in Arson. I'm not sure whether I'll continue playing it, with my PS3 showing early signs of it dying.

I was bad in the interview process, until I bothered to read the game manual. It says those who are not telling the truth tend to avoid eye contact. Since then, I usually get 3/4 it right. I once got 0/3 though.

I have to say though, I am absolutely loving the game so far. It really is brilliant, and from what I've seen and experienced, I'd undoubtedly say it's one of the most atmospheric and enjoyale games I've ever played. If I can make it through the whole story while still appreciating every moment like currently, then I may have to dip in and buy some DLC, which I very rarely do.

I've completed the game, got about 86% completion so far. Done all the street crimes, been to all the landmarks, 50 odd vehicles so far and just started getting the film reels.

Downloaded the two new cases but I'm not starting them until I've got 100% on the main game.

I've risked my PS3 and managed to complete it. The game get interesting after
Homicide, which is possible the worst one. I had a feeling that it was done by a serial killer during the dude from Heroes was in it. Which is why I didn't want to charge him. Yet, I have no other choice.

Another thing that I dislike is that you can't skip the cutscene when you're making a call to the operator. It's really annoying!

Also, due to the mostly unskipable cutscenes, it definitely puts me off from replaying some cases, so replay value is little.

Same, no idea where to find them.

You can skip cutscenes btw Fox, press select, from what I recall.

I've yet to find a single film reel

They are quite well hidden, generally off the beaten track where you are unlikely to go. I've got ~20 of them, all in the Hollywood area... just a hint.

If you want a guide to find them then I can point you in the direction of one... it will remove the pain of finding them, just as long as you don't mind feeling dirty for cheating...

BELIEVE
This is such a difficult game.

I'm in Homocide now, and I've just did The Golden Butterfly case (Belmont High School and the golden butterfly broach etc), and I found 12/12 clues and got 13/15 questions correct, along with $0 vehicle damage, injuries or city damage, and the commissioner still raped me and said I was a bag of shite, with my case being given 3 stars. I opted not to charge Eli Rooney the child rapist, and charged the husband for the murder of his wife getting just one question incorrect in the interrogation rooms (with the husband).

I'm not sure yet as I've just this minute finished the case but from what the commissioner said, I think I may have been sent back to work the streets. I obviously don't quite understand this game just yet.

Any help is obviously appreciated.

EDIT: Oh, the next case has just started and the commissioner is now saying I've been doing an excellent job.

It definitely is. And in regards to your spoiler question, that was about politics and what they wanted to portray to the press.

I think I'm doing alright in regards to questionings, but I sometimes feel that there are cases where you will always get the answer wrong. For example:

Out of curiosity, I did the questioning of Ottie 4 times and selected all three options (twice for Lie). I was wrong everytime. I didn't miss out any evidence, according to the case summary, but perhaps I did something in the wrong order? I went to Ottie before I went to Jermaine Jones, if that makes a differece. If there are futile outcomes, then that would be annoying.

Intriguing DF. I fucked one interrogation up badly so I'm not ashamed to say I restarted it. Anyway, the first time when I got it wrong I chose Lie for one response. This was apparently wrong, so for the next I opted for Doubt for the very same question and it was considered correct, yet the response the suspect gave was exactly the same both times.

I can see so much going wrong during interrogations if this is a trend.

I still love the game though, but it may be a bit too complex for it's own good at times.

Sometimes it feels like the truth, doubt or lie options are to linear and scripted. If they make a second game it should have multiple endings and each choice you make really does have an effect on the game, as currently it's either you get it wrong or right and nothing really happens.

Hunter, did
the dude from Heroes ran away after you charged him? He ran away on mine, but I'm not sure whether it's because of me taking a long time to decide, or it's already scripted.

He did for me..... but then, I put away the wrong guy in that case, got a bollocking from the chief, and got slapped with a 1* rating

Is there any particular way of finding all of the vehicles? Or is it just blind luck?

There are guides on the internet, just google "LA Noire trophy guide". A lot of it is luck, but some vehicles seem to be prevelant in certain cases. I have about 6 more to get. I have all my film reels.

Yeah I've got all of the film reels. Just got to get the vehicles and two of the newspapers for the 100% now.
