wwefan, after you finish the update, will you send me a copy of your excel that you use to work players? I plan on moving MLS to Colombia League as I have Liga MX and Libertadores already installed and would help with a list of Licensed players already in game. Thanks

HeyBuckshot, would you mind explaining how you are doing this exactly? I have been messing about trying to do something similar but keep having issues getting the teams to install correctly. I would like to have Liga MX and MLS And keep the Cooa Libertadores teams all at the same time. I would sacrifice some Colombian teams to do this no problem.
Ideally I would like to replace the Brasiliero B league with Liga Mx or MLS.
Love it if you could show me how to do this successfully....

I already converted the Colombia League to Classic Libertadores for my Classic file.

Here is how I did it.

I exported all the Colombia teams to get their Team IDs.

I used the SMcCutcheon's Ted Editor.

I took the new team and changed their Team ID to one of the Colombia Teams.

I then changed the Player ID's to new Player ID's by using the Live Update Player Flag in SMcCutcheon's Ted Editor.

When I imported, it sent those Colombia Players to Free Agents and my teams have new Players in the game.

Alot easier when doing Classic Teams as those players are not in the game.

I plan to do basically the same way with MLS except in-game players I keep their Player IDs.

Ok. Did you use the “import 2nd TED” feature in the editor? To put the the details and players from the team you want over the Colombian League team? That effectively makes a new copy of the team over the old team I guess eliminating those players. Or did you just change team ID and flag the players? Which one do you re import to the game.?
Also do you know if I use another tool to unlicense Brasiliero B and then do the same method will it allow me to replace the brasiliero teams?
I would like to create a fantasy league with MLS and Liga Mx teams playing together over Brasiliero so there is promotion and relegation and cups are more interesting etc.

No, did not use the Import 2nd Second TED feature on the Colombia League.

I opened up the TED in SMcCutcheon's Ted Editor and used the P2 sheet to replace the Player IDs with the open IDs (22944 to 30000)**.

I then saved the file in P2. Which sent it back to the front page. I then opened edit players and went to each player and checked the Live Update Player on each player. Then I change the Team ID. Save ted then re-crypted. Then installed into game.

You asked which one I would import -The file I would use this on is the file I want the team moved. So I would take the Atlanta United file and do all of the above on that file and would be the one I install. By changing the TEAM ID, it will install over the team I changed the Team ID.

Since Atlanta United as some in-game players, I would do the same with the P2 sheet except not change the Player IDs for the in-game players.

If you base copy over those players, the mini map faces will be wrong. By the method I am using, the mini map players will be white like with fake team players since they are new players added in the game. The players on the current team are sent to Free Agents when you install.

Can't unlicense the Licensed teams......you can only change the roster.

** To not have to keep typing out numbers, I created an Excel sheet that created the numbers so I could just copy and paste. Then copied those numbers to Notepadd++ that has line numbers. So say the team has 28 players, I copy 28 IDs from the list and paste those numbers in P2 sheet. Saves time not having to do each individual Player IDs. Hope that makes sense.

Not sure if I still have a Video recording device installed. I'll look later and try to make a short video if I do to show you what I do.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to explain. This game drives me nuts sometimes. It’s too bad that despite there being some really good patches for PC, none of them are very well fleshed out for teams in south and North America.
A couple weeks ago I tried this and I edited Atlanta united and changed there ID to match one of the brasiliero teams and tried importing but it installed in PLA league and I tried another team to install over one of the Columbia sides but it gave a load failed error. Not sure what the problem was but I will try and follow your instructions and do it again.
Cheers

On licensed teams, I have to do it a little different. I still do the P2 with Player IDs but use the Copy from 2nd TED and click the Live Player ID.

Here is something I discovered when first starting playing around and testing:

If you were to take say a Premier League team that have licensed players and do the P2 new Player IDs and then go and check Live Update Flag on all of the players and install into the game, the Licensed version of the player is sent to Free Agents and the unlicensed version of them are on the team.

So how do you know which players are “in the game” already ? I would be using WWEFANs MLS files as they seem to be the best ones I have found and I want to replace Brasiliero B teams if possible but if not then Some Columbia’s sides and some from Cooa Libertadores. I assume some of the players in the MLS TEDs were already in the game and some were created over fake players? The rosters are not updated for the new season so I plan to get them all in the game and then edit the rosters as best I can from teams in the database.

On 2nd account just install the MLS TEDS. Go to each player on each team and click Triangle on each player. If edited player, appearance and name will reset. If in-game player, nothing changes. Write down each in-game player for each team as you go so you have a list of in-game players.......hence why I asked if he would share his excel sheet after he completes the update as to save some time.

What National Team file are you using? Many duplicate players. Tried a few different National Team files last night to see if I could limit the duplicates - no dice.

Just using the in game nationals renamed/replaced with their real player.
