Liverpool's form over the last few season's has been pathetic for a club of their alleged stature. They've failed to reach the Champions League at all for the last two seasons and didn't make Europe at all last season. Their £35 million striker cannot score and is being touted as one of the biggest flops in the history of English football. Their much heralded centre half is clearly over the hill and is forced to resort to fouling people and their talismanic captain is little more than an injury ravaged shadow of his former self. They're stuck in a mickey mouse 40,000 seater stadium and don't have the resources to compete with the likes of United.

I cannot stand the majority of Liverpool fans. Their sense of entitlement despite their abject mediocrity is breathtaking.

I particularly like their "Chelsea FC...you aint got no history" rubbish. It invites the retort "but your team is sh1te lads?"

It's like listening to stories about how great Blackpool, Preston North End or Forest were back in the day.

Get over it lads...it's game over...Liverpool will go a hell of a lot longer than our 26 years before winning the league again (and even then it'll probably be the Championship that they win).

Keep waving your ridiculous flags, keep singing that embarrassing song, keep up the faux applause for basic play in a vain attempt to appear superior and more knowledgable fans and for some bizarre reason keep saying "Liverpool Foootball Club" all the time just in case anyone thinks that you're talking about Liverpool Bowls Club.

We'll just keep harvesting trophies and adding seats to Old Trafford.

I missed this its actually quite funny. Wonder how he feel after United choked on Basel's dick?

So what he's basically saying is to give up on the team hmm groundbreaking stuff here :hmm:

This decision regarding Suarez is absolute bullshit. Rooney spouts all sorts of abuse at players and officials alike during games, not to mention that crap at the camera not too long ago. But he gets off fine. But they choose Suarez as someone to make an example of? Just what are the FA hoping to achieve by doing this? To drive off one of the PL's best players because of their bullshit double-standards?

Suarez is a prick but this is excessive. It's just not consistent from the FA. It's the Terry case all over again. Yeah he called him a black cunt, but is Ferdinand not black? Same with Suarez-Evra. He calls him 'negro' multiple times; last I checked negro means black. Is Evra not black? Honestly, the general idea of equality these days is a joke.

Hopefully this will be appealed and the ban will be shortened. It seems they want an example to be made.. For goodness sake Suarez's grandfather is black. This makes me dislike Evra even more. Well this will certainly impact our activity in the transfer window. Maybe bring on Barrios if this ban holds?

Yes , because Rooney should be given the same punishment for a bit of aggresive swearing as continually attacking someone racially!

@stringerbell

Evra standing up to being racially abuse , what a terrible person he is.
Poor little Suarez:(

I could never stand against a UTD player in these circumstances.
You should be ashamed of yourself!

I've said before in previous posts Evra has a history of crying wolf and he himself was supposedly involved in racial allegations with Gourcuff. This isnt some sort of saint... Why didnt any other player on the pitch hear these words? No officials? Answer that. Where is the evidence other than an allegation? Show me audio and I will politely shut the fuck up and accept the ruling.

For fuck sake, Stringer. Suarez has admitted that he said what he is being charged for. His excuse is that it's not a bad term from where he is from.

I called him something his team-mates at Manchester call him, and even they were surprised by his reaction.'

Thats all I've read...

edit
Manchester United faced Liverpool in a Premier League match. In the 57th minute Suarez fouled Evra and tempers flared at the next corner. They squared up to each other and Evra asked why Suarez kicked him. Suarez said he should forget about it, these things happen. Evra claims Suarez then became racially abusive, using the word 'negro'. Suarez denies using the word in that clash. Evra is clearly wound up, but nearby players do not seem particularly bothered.

A few minutes later Marriner calls the pair together. Suarez apologises and tries to pat Evra on the head. It is alleged Evra said: 'Don't touch me, you South American,' to which Suarez replies: 'Porque, negro?'

Evra catches Kuyt two minutes later and is booked. He allegedly shouts at Marriner: 'You're only booking me because I'm black.'

Suarez is bemused, saying: 'I called him something his team-mates call him and even they were surprised by his reaction.'

How does that make him no saint?
If he's having the balls to come out and tell people that he's being abused , being brave enough to face ignorant people like yourself in football who will just rebuff the claims and turn it against him, does that make him a bad person?
How do you know he wasn't racially abused by Gourcuff?

Well not to go to much off topic but Gourcuff was ostracized by certain players of African descent on the French team due to his heritage an up bringing. And the fact that he pretty much obtains from drinking and partying...

What I am getting at is I'm suspect to believe a player who call foul when he's done this before and even been accused of dishing it out. Thats all I'm saying. It should also be known that those of you who aren't familiar with Latin American culture that terms like moreno and negro and especially negra are often used as terms of endearment.

He's been in Europe long enough to know the difference. He's scum and deserves all that is coming to him.

You want to talk about Evra's past behaviour to paint a picture. Well why don't you talk about Suarez's past and current behaviour of lying, diving, cheating, biting, etc?

But then how is it right for Evra to say dont touch me you South American? Certainly punishment should be handed down to both involved...

I just hope by contrast Terry gets slapped with a career-ending ban.

But he won't because he's English.

I hate Liverpool. I need to get out of this thread.

Official Statement from the Scallies

Liverpool Football Club is very surprised and disappointed with the decision of the Football Association Commission to find Luis Suarez guilty of the charges against him.

We look forward to the publication of the Commission's Judgment. We will study the detailed reasons of the Commission once they become available, but reserve our right to appeal or take any other course of action we feel appropriate with regards to this situation.

We find it extraordinary that Luis can be found guilty on the word of Patrice Evra alone when no-one else on the field of play - including Evra's own Manchester United teammates and all the match officials - heard the alleged conversation between the two players in a crowded Kop goalmouth while a corner kick was about to be taken.

The Club takes extremely seriously the fight against all forms of discrimination and has a long and successful track record in work relating to anti-racist activity and social inclusion. We remain committed to this ideal and equality for all, irrespective of a person's background.

LFC considers racism in any form to be unacceptable - without compromise. It is our strong held belief, having gone over the facts of the case, that Luis Suarez did not commit any racist act. It is also our opinion that the accusation by this particular player was not credible - certainly no more credible than his prior unfounded accusations.

It is key to note that Patrice Evra himself in his written statement in this case said 'I don't think that Luis Suarez is racist'. The FA in their opening remarks accepted that Luis Suarez was not racist.

Luis himself is of a mixed race family background as his grandfather was black. He has been personally involved since the 2010 World Cup in a charitable project which uses sport to encourage solidarity amongst people of different backgrounds with the central theme that the colour of a person's skin does not matter; they can all play together as a team.

He has played with black players and mixed with their families whilst with the Uruguay national side and was Captain at Ajax Amsterdam of a team with a proud multi-cultural profile, many of whom became good friends.

It seems incredible to us that a player of mixed heritage should be accused and found guilty in the way he has based on the evidence presented. We do not recognise the way in which Luis Suarez has been characterised.

It appears to us that the FA were determined to bring charges against Luis Suarez, even before interviewing him at the beginning of November. Nothing we have heard in the course of the hearing has changed our view that Luis Suarez is innocent of the charges brought against him and we will provide Luis with whatever support he now needs to clear his name.

We would also like to know when the FA intend to charge Patrice Evra with making abusive remarks to an opponent after he admitted himself in his evidence to insulting Luis Suarez in Spanish in the most objectionable of terms. Luis, to his credit, actually told the FA he had not heard the insult.
