So I am new to PES and maybe this has always been there, but it has been annoying me as I play the become a player mode or whatever it's called. whenever there is a ball passed to my player or even at other random times in the game my player will lock on to the ball and sprint toward it, and I can't figure out how to stop him from sprinting towards the ball, This is especially for when I know I'm offside if I touch the ball and I want to run away from the pass so not to get called offside. I feel there should be a way to cancel that automatic lock on, can somebody help?

super cancel: if you are controlling that player hit R1 and R2 (PS3) simultaneously to pull the player from motion
My bigger complaint is through ball where my player just runs along side of it for yards instead of scooping it up. Makes it easy for the CPU defender to intercept it.
