Yeah i know, but still, now that they are trying to go back to the PES5 days, it's a engine they already own, so what did they do in the other 11 months, they lost licenses, created 5 extra stadiums, and...uhm...a minor graphic update and...uhm...got the edit mode back to where it was 2 years ago without further enhancements. That's not enough sorry, did you guys know fifa has 46 stadiums this year? I'm not a fanboy of fifa, neither of PES, but facts is facts...Fifa has put in a whole lot more effort this part year compared to PES.
Friday when fifa was released...David Rutter, the executive producer of Fifa was on the fifa forums to listen to peoples opinions, flaws they can write a patch for etc. i have never in the last 10+ years saw Konami did something like this, if Konami keeps on ignoring their fans, and Fifa continues getting and listening to customer feedback, fifa will prevail as the winner eventually.
I makes me sad that PES is now the one that has to prove itself after last years dismal effort, I always was one of those people slating fifa and no matter what my beloved PES was the best. But Fifa is catching up, quickly. This is also the first year that you feel the difference between players, not nearly enough though, but there is a difference between Michael Johnson and Lionel Messi in Fifa.
I really hope PES09 is good, Konami simply cannot afford another bad outing.
