You will be champions, the oracle of 777 has predicted it,since october you have scored 10 goals while Chicharito has scored 11 goals, when you will be champions he will be the best player in the world.

Chicharito wouldn't have managed a shot on target had he stayed at us, his head had gone. The missed chances away at Brugge showed that.

Yep,Chica needed some fresh air,but consecutive managers were hardly giving him a fair chance or managing him well.

For some reason i think you will win 1-0 or 2-1 at wolfsburg if the latter are not at 100% of their ability...when your dangerous run of fixtures came last season some 3 big teams in 4 games and you had lost to smaller teams prior to that, everyone expected you to fall off but instead you came into 4th and consolidated you position during that run.

Edit:

You were drawing to westham and losing to swansea then had a run where you faced liverpool, tottenham, newcastle and manchester city and you won all 4 games.

Van Gaal seems to respond in the big situations...we will know for sure, midweek.

It would be something if the semi finals of europa had Arsenal,Dortmund,Liverpool and Manchester United.

Add chelsea to that instead of a dortmund and 3 of those teams would be often making the semis of CL and not europa over 05 to 11.

Accidentally closed the tab after I'd typed 99% of my reply

To summarise:

Chicharito couldn't get game time under Moyes, was 4th best player on paper last season, head wasn't here this season.

We won't get the result we need in Wolfsburg.

That was last season. We can't even beat Newcastle/West Ham etc at home, and at times they look more likely to score than we do. Don't feel as confident in big games this season like I did last.

To those who are watching BT Sport analysis with the God that is Michael Owen: do you think they're right saying this team is worth than it was, and all this after £250m spent? They named something along the lines of:

De Gea
Rafael Evans Smalling ???
Carrick Cleverley
Nani Januzaj
RVP Chicharito

... which for me is way worse than the current team.

And do you think LVG will be sacked? I don't think that is even remotely possible, but some people are considering it given the displays, and now missing the knockout stage...

Every time I hear Januzaj's name mentioned they talk of him like he's the next Messi, when he really doesn't look anything special. Does he even get a run out for Dortmund other than Europa League games vs Macedonian pub teams?

Rafael - couldn't defend
Evans - had a good season or two, then went downhill
Cleverley - not good enough
Nani - had more lives than a cat, wasted them all bar one
RvP - injuries taken tole on his body
Chicharito - already covered, head gone

We've nobody up top to make things happen. Rooney floats in useless positions and then drops deep when he doesn't see enough of the ball, Martial naturally drifts out wide. No real wingers anymore, and our fullbacks can't cross so are shit on the overlap.

I can handle being knocked out of the group stage, we've been here before, but the football we're playing at the same time is fucking dreadful to watch.

He won't get sacked, but I can't really argue with those who will say he should be. Must do everything in our power to get Pep in the summer. If he goes to City, that'll be them running riot for a while.

I heard RVP had chronick back pain, when he scored that flying header I thought he was going to break in half.

Rooney, honestly, should go back to midfield positions. He does not enough pace or trickery to play as a supporting striker, nor as a striker, and he does know how to pass and read the game. I'd like to see more of him in more defensive roles. I mean, it can't be worse. If yes, then you need a new striker (that you need anyway). Kane might be it, Berahino would be a mistake, maybe someone pacey like Aubameyang?

You do have good crossers. Depay is one, but he's an inside forward, not a winger. Blind can cross like few others, but he's not an attacking full back (not even a standard full back at my eyes). But you do have a point in the natural wingers, you need a 04' Ronaldo or a Gaitán (would love to see him there, but the odds on turning like Di Maria...). And that's the problem, with so much money invested you still have plenty of issues to solve.

The footballing god that is Michael Owen :lmao: https://twitter.com/BeardedGenius/status/674357096855531520

Rooney isn't a midfielder, and never will be. His touch isn't good enough and he's too laid back to play in an important position with how we dominate possession. One memory lapse and we're getting roasted on the counter. He just needs to leave the club, Everton can have him.

Don't want Kane, nor Berahino. I'd love Lukaku plus another (different style to Lukaku/Martial), a pacy forward, perhaps.

Depay a good crosser? Always overhits it and it ends up in the stands. Blind can cross but he plays centrally more nowadays, and even as a full back hasn't always got the pace to overlap to get into crossing positions. Even if he got there, Depay doesn't have the quality to find that perfect slide ball (at least with his confidence as low as it currently is).

It was irony Ziss... remember when Owen said, and I'm quoting, "Man Utd, when they don't score, they hardly ever win"? A man from the future.

I too think Rooney should leave, but I still think he'd be better as a midfielder rather than a forward. Which isn't saying he'd be good, just better.

I was tempted to mention Lukaku but I'm not seeing him leave anytime soon. They bought him for £30m, they'll want to keep him for longer. Now in a swap including Rooney... fans probably won't agree but the board might.

There was a match (this season, ended 0-0, maybe UCL?) in which Depay crossed some good 4/5 balls into the area, both with his right and left foot, and all of them were really good. I don't consider him as bad as you do in tht aspect.

Edit: it was for Netherlands vs Turkey. https://streamable.com/g97x

Vidic was in there instead of Smalling, plus Evra, Welbeck & another Nani!

I've been satisfyingly impressed by BT's European coverage so far but tonight was awful. Ex Utd co-commentator with 3 more ex Utd guys in the studio. To be fair there was no bias, but the discussions went on far too long. Scholes was forced to repeat himself on a few occasions because Lineker wasn't shifting the conversation on.

Dunno, maybe the editing team were struggling to get the other games ready in time, but showing highlights of your live game first is pathetic, especially when followed by more extensive & unneeded chat. It was 10.40pm before they got Man City on, and Real's 8 goals were shown in less time than it takes Michael Owen to finish a sentence.

Edit: No wonder Holland didn't make the Euros with finishing like that!

At the end of this season you should just sack Louis Van Lol and jump on Carlo Ancelotti.

You should poach talent from clubs, small clubs in the league if you cannnot buy over from europe...

Try going after Mahrez...Martial and Mata would be great.

WHy did Herrera not play again?

Herrara should play along with Schneiderlin and get someone like Payet in January or himself for an inflated price and besides that your defence should be fine and when de gea goes make sure keylor navas arrives in exchange.

Well it was. Having an option > having no option. Him or Van Persie anyway.

The Brugge game told us all we needed to know about his future at United. Sadly, his head was gone and a move was good for him.

Sending Wilson out on loan when we only have two recognised strikers on the books, outside of the transfer window, is a more bizzare move than letting Chicharito go.

Look,i want Van Gaal to extend his contract.

But you guys have a very rich choice of Allegri,Pep Guardiola,Antonio Conte and Carlo Ancelotti depending on how willing you are to secure them and how fast you move on them and if you are willing to sack Van Lol to get one of the above.

Or just trust in 777 and wait for Van Lol to win the title.
