Ok I've been quite patient on the online front but having played numerous games now the frustration levels are exploding! Yet again a PES release with "online play" just does not work to the required level.
The servers cannot cope with the huge ping delay (especially when playing long ball merchants) then the screen lag kicks in, button lag is not to the ridiculous levels of previous next gen games but you just cant play fluent football when its feels like the controls are 5 fathoms deep in the ocean!
If the game was another product then Trade Descriptions would be all over them, a bit like offering a free sat TV but it only works on analogue channels. Its half a working product.
I'm happy with a lot of the changes made to the controls, power gauge on passing & more emphasis on skill, control & tactics but this all gets undermined by the complete inability to work online & again feels like a premature release to combat the more fluent productive team at EA producing Fifa. One day they will catch up on the overall gameplay which has kep PES fans faithful for so long, but I think like the modern game the supporters will begin to grow frustrated.
I personally have purchased every version of the game since ISS on PS1, but I'm seriously considering whether I'll carry on doing so if they cant sort out the online feature & more improtantly show some respect to the purchasing fanbase & show some self respect & release a finished article rather than some half finished effort to try & compete with EA.
