Master League Improvements (WARING Long Thread)

Been playing myclub and Master League for sometime and I do enjoy playing PES 2020 but here is my opinion on what to improve in the future for Master League. This is all about opinion and some of these ideas are far fetched whilst others aren't so.

These only apply to OFFLINE Master League

I have cut it down to manageable changes which should be added and have excluded dramatic changes.

1) More leagues so there are 3 or 4 divisions with 2 domestic cups for each nation, one for the league and another for the nation though these leagues could be created with fake names and teams and can be edited later if necessary this would add depth and more realism to the game.

I know we have the PEU league but the option to increase leagues in each nation would add so much more realism and fun even if it is only possible to add 1 for each nation.

2) Referee temperament. I remember in past PES games names of referees reflected how much fouls they gave whether they or soft or harsh, would gain increase realism

3) Increase size squad size to 40 to allow several youth players to progress into the first team gradually

4) Have the ability to allow the youth players and first team to train together and this allows better ranking up then currently

5) Create a new budget section which allow the option to select or replace sponsors at the start of each season, the better the club the bigger the budget enhancement, like merchandise or shirt sponsors which could then add or take away from the club budget

6) New coach section. Have the ability to hire, fire coaches, agents and trainers like myclub. Some fake 1 to 5 stars coaches for example would be a good start and these can help influence training , morale of squad and blend in within the club budget.

Coaches to use picking best squad on form, tactics, increase moral and assess youth team.

Trainers for training and to increase players stats

Agents for negotiations and likelihood of player signing or not.

Again even if one for each slot like 1 coach or 1 agent or 1 trainer for the club would be significant improement evne just 1 physio for i injuries.

7) More player interactions. I know some disagree here bit for me I liked the cutscenes when a player was unhappy and came directly to the manager in the office and then the morale of the player either increased or decreased. Likewise if a player was happy his morale would increase. This could occur on a monthly basis for example or before or after a game

8) Retirement improvements. When a player comes to retirement the option to extend the contract for a year or to add into a trainer, coach or agent, increases longevity.

8) Ability to edit kits, numbers or stadium name and turf, net design in Master League to keep things modern and updated, again just editing YOUR kit would be better than none.

9) Ability to add friendlies or trail matches for upcoming young talent.

10) More manager cutscenes. Would be great to see more cutscenes involving the mangers mood before and after games and see him more mobile on the touchline as this would be OFFLINE I think 1 mor0 cutscene here would not be a problem

11) More board involvement. Like above new cutscenes involving boardroom and manager. If board is unhappy and club in debt board would have final say on outcome and could sack the manager

12) More injuries. More injuries would be nice addition . Player so and so is out with the flu for a week

13) More stats including the coaching staff. Addition to season stats would be the introduction of coaches a season like how many points they gain for helping the first team and how much they influence the first team this could then rise the coach level.

14) More rewards for players like a cut scene for player of the month and fans player of the month .

15) More options in training, allow for certain types of training. Like intensive cardio like running or mire skill training like dribbling.

16) With increasing squad size to 40 or more the ability to create a reserve team which features 11 and these could play friendlies which could then increase stats over time.

17) Better Menu interface. One for Manager, one for Squad and one for Coaching or Backroom Staff.

18) Option to allow players to go on holiday or go on absent leave if form is bad or player is injured again link with interactions of player. Could be adventurous and include family reasons or bereavement. If player does
not come back could you terminate contract or fine him.

19) Stadium introduction editor. Even if you could just change the seat colour or have the option to change the dugout and add striped seats and more edit options wthin the Master League. Would not allow the option to alter budget though as this would ruin realism just the stadium.

20) More younger players in youth squad. A 15 or 16 year old wonderkid CF or a 15 or 16 year tall DF more control over them and if not wanted options to release or send out on loan

21) Better sounds effects and chants. The ability to create hostile atmospheres for away teams like boos or chants against teams.

22) New inbox. Have a proper mail inbox which include hot news within the game, player of the month, new coaches etc goes in here, transfers also.
You could even add this with the cut scenes which creates more realism.
Sponsors could go in here also, I know we have an inbox but this could be expanded to other areas of the game.

Thanks

Thanks for your replies

Didn't realise it was 40 thought it was 32 so I do apologise for that. For me the biggest aim for Master League in future is to increase depth of leagues this is missing so badly especially the English League. With or without licensing it would be a great addition and would really make even more fun on the PS4 that is!

I believe Konami have to pay Sony for memory allocation - unsure if Konami would pay for extra memory for kits and other imported images. But this option would be nice!

2) Referee temperament. I remember in past PES games names of referees reflected how much fouls they gave whether they or soft or harsh, would gain increase realism
Totally agree. I remember a Chinese Ref in PES 5 who was a right c*nt, would give a red card for a shoulder barge!

6) New coach section. Have the ability to hire, fire coaches, agents and trainers like myclub. Some fake 1 to 5 stars coaches for example would be a good start and these can help influence training , morale of squad and blend in within the club budget.
This was an Option in PES 2013 on Xbox 360 & PS3 - you had a budget for Coaches and Scouts. I am surprised this was never continued into the next gen consoles.

Trainers for training and to increase players stats
Strangely, players have this influence on another player's ability development
This is hidden in the "Team Role" A "Legend" or "Super Star" has an impact on how well other players in the team develop. A "Legend" will boost ALL players XP. A "Super Star" will boost ALL players with the same playing position. These Team Roles also speed up the Skill Training of other players. E.g I have 2x Legends in my ML team and players learn a new skill in Half the time. Heading skill, was 45 Days, 2x Legends = 25 Days.

8) Retirement improvements. When a player comes to retirement the option to extend the contract for a year or to add into a trainer, coach or agent, increases longevity.
Agree, this player if he had a high Team Role level, would carry the team spirit boost he once gave as a player, which means as long as you have him as a coach, your time spirit is boosted by 10.

8) Ability to edit kits, numbers or stadium name and turf, net design in Master League to keep things modern and updated, again just editing YOUR kit would be better than none.
You can edit the kits and nets and turf. Not sure what you mean here!? You can even do it mid-season and your ML will update with the changes.

12) More injuries. More injuries would be nice addition . Player so and so is out with the flu for a week
Agree. If Flu is strife, you can lose 2,3 or 4 players for a couple of games.

15) More options in training, allow for certain types of training. Like intensive cardio like running or mire skill training like dribbling.
This is already an option. It's called "Focus Training" - it's already in the game.

20) More younger players in youth squad. A 15 or 16 year old wonderkid CF or a 15 or 16 year tall DF more control over them and if not wanted options to release or send out on loan
If you wanted to, you can EDIT the Youth Teams to be like this.
I add some young classic players (16 Years Old) to the Youth Squads - like Juninho, Paul Gascoigne, Asprilla, Shevchenko etc. But all with reduced stats. I also believe that Youth Players can be Transfer or Loan listed?

21) Better sounds effects and chants. The ability to create hostile atmospheres for away teams like boos or chants against teams.
You can add these onto a memory stick as an mp3 file (download from YouTube) and play them whilst in-game. I have the Man Utd songs of Giggs, Beckham and Solskjaer, plus Newcastle Utd intro music. AND for those hostile games in Turkey (like away game to Galatasaray, i have soundbites from their games and it is brutal!) - Doesn't affect your own gameplay, but it certainly adds to the atmosphere.

I think what we can all learn here, is that PES (whether you like PES 2020 or not) can still be taylored to certain extent to make the game more enjoyable and to your own taste. I don't play PES 2020 personally, but I have applied as many of the above elements as I can to PES 2017 and it's absolutely great!
