Master League My Ass

Seriously, Konami: after 2013, have you guys lost it? The fucking game isn't the same anymore. The game is designed to play your (KONAMI) fucking style rather than playing free-flowing play what PES was known for. The amount of cheats and script play makes this game even more unrealistic and away from the PES game series let alone the revival of the game. The script is so evident that the developers forget to even hide their smelly asses and left it open for players to figure out. Outrageous and aggressive AI whose tackles are inch-perfect; who can score at any angle; who run like Usain Bolt; where even after clearance the ball mysteriously lands in the AI's foot; players stop after a pace like ducatti in a race track; and even play FUCKING TIKI TAKA no matter what team it belongs, seriously????? What the fuck are you smoking out there????

This game may be good for newbies who just started playing football but not for fans who have been playing this game for a long time. This game is a disappointment. Period.

Well said- I lost $30 because I traded this game (I cut my losses)- I saw it after only a few days' worth of playing the game. Yeah, only new players would think the game is good... this game is nowhere near as good as PES 5 and 6 were! The career mode should be called the Masturbatory League- it's wank!

You are correct about PES 2014 onwards- (at least that's what I surmise from your posting). Unlike many other people (it seems) I didn't even like PES 2015- Konami are just taking the piss!

It's a stale game that looks and plays almost like it's still the PS2 days- even though we've had two further 'generations' of console since then!

Tiki-taka style of play is almost unavoidable, but I only found three teams capable of that: Fiorentina, Chelsea and Barcelona. The tackles are indeed overdone, they never fail.

The game can be learned to play. I had only 2 defeats in the whole league season with Tenerife and won 94-95 points in my fourth ML season on Superstar (and yet I was 2nd because Barcelona had 98 points). You 'just' have to learn how to defend. Whether it's unrealistic or not, I'll leave to other people to judge, but it can be learned.

Learn to play??? With script play that forces you to make mistakes and capitalizes on your mistake (which you have no control of) - good luck with then!:laugh:

You will also capitalize on their mistakes, you just won't be mad at it. I don't need luck, I learned to play. You have two choices: stop whining and learn to play or stop playing the game. I'm just telling you it can be done, especially in Master league.

I've been playing PES for the last 10 years. Prior to that, I was a FIFA fanatic. But the day I played PES the first time, it just won my heart. Fluid play. Realistic through ball. Player attributes. The stadium. Overall, the Champions League. Trust me, since I started playing PES, I have mastered the gameplay (Also keen about real football tactics) and I mastered the use of tactics, as well.

But being an old school gamer (started with Atari with the pointy joysticks), I have seen the gaming evolve and as well as the graphics; to such extent that I understand how game developers have evolved too. Truth be told, ever since PES released 2014, the game is no FUN. I have noticed, the developers tried to put extra to the game, but sadly they have put in too much of restrictions which are taking away the joy of playing PES.

I see that they have put a new system where players cannot decide the play where the programming dictates the gameplay - no freedom, reduce players ability, stop them abruptly from a run, and make silly errors, the list goes on.

There's a singular pattern which they have to follow to a script (I believe this type of scripting was also written for Assassin's Creed Blag Flag). So, players have no freedom to play with their skill or understanding. I don't understand - either to blame the game developers or the future of gaming, but it seems it's all business these days. Make a game with heavy graphics and market it insanely.

If this is the future of gaming, then I don't want to learn a game which takes away the joy of playing.

Good point.
Btw, I have no problem to win 99% of matches at Superstar level, but just can't find any fun in this game anymore because of the stupid and predictable scripting.
The game looks more and more like a "football for teenage wan*ers" :w00t. Superstar level in PES2016 is not about "learn to play football", not about tactic or player skills. Its all about "learn in couple of matches when and where AI will try to fooling you".
AI always know what you gonna do next, AI easily can make your best players looks like a bunch of morons, etc.
So, basic idea - its not you/your players playing better or worse this or next match, its just AI makes you losing control and playing worse, when the game decides "sorry, not this time".

I agree wholeheartedly with these postings- the fun has gone from the game, it's just a cynical cash-grab via MyCrap®; they don't care about offline gamers. Loyal gamers, like myself, who started with PES 3 (PC)- I was insulted by PES 2008 (PS3)- but went back to PES 2012 (Xbox 360)- I hated PES 2015 (PS4) and now hate PES 2016 (PS4).

I am a tactician where it comes to football games, nearly always employing slow, build-up play. When I score (even on 'Superstar'/full manual), I feel empty, big deal... the goalkeeper suddenly turns into an amateur. My goalkeeper (boosted to '97' overall can't save to save his life at times). Those low shot goals are SCRIPTED, this game is so f*cking cheap. I have wasted about three weeks trying to fix the un-fixable- I'm trading the game and saying "goodbye" to needless frustration!!

A certain person can shove the game up his 'bhatti'! :)
