Master League Q: Having to have foreign teams get promoted after 1st season :(

Okay, so you can have 18 teams for Division 2 in Master League, but say you're Tottenham Hotspurs...

If you start in D2, does a random foreign team have to take spurs' place in the D1??

And presumably foreign teams have to make up the Division 2, which means that after a season foreign teams will start to (unrealistically) get promoted to the ENGLISH D1... which is bad.

Also, do the leagues the player DOESN'T participatye in have a D2? If so, presumably they'll have the same issue?

Its not a gamebreaker obviously, but its something that always bugged me in previous master leagues. I spose I could always create 18/20 division 1 teams for the nation league I'm playing in... but I can't do that for all the other leagues if they have a D2 as well... presumably theres a limited number of 'CREATE A TEAM' slots available?

no, the league which you are in is the only one with a division 2 and yes, unless you create second division teams then you will have to include foreign sides in either the top or second flight.

Simple solution - create Championship teams. 18 blank slots to do that...

cool, i used to ponder over who to leave out,

i had english divisions one and two and in the other three leagues i'd put three top italian, dutch, french and other teams A in each, then put one of each in until i had full leagues. i was always left wondering who to drop.

will there be enough teams though to fill them?

20 teams per league x 6 leagues + 12 second flight teams = 132 slots, how many teams are in the game?

EDIT: according to wikipedia theres 163 club teams. more than enough but still i'm gonna be wondering who to omit.

preparing for ML will take up as much time, i'm starting now listing which lower league sides i want to create.

this time i'm not going to just use championship teams, i like some from the third flight too. plus i wont have to be spot on with player likenesses and abilities as i dont pay that much attention to leagues 2/3

THE DUDE do you mean 18 div 2 teams? i thought ML div 2 was 12 teams.

As far as i am aware from what i have read elsewhere it goes like this:

English, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and French League.
Whichever League you choose, you can have the option to start in the 18 team division 2 league first. Promotion takes you to the league you chose from the off.
Now, you CAN edit the layout of the ENGLISH. SPANISH & ITALIAN leagues, swapping any team for another in the game. BUT you CANNOT edit the French or Dutch league, as they are fully licensed. Perhaps the same with the ITALIAN league also, but i cannot remember at this moment.
You CAN replace ANY of the editable division one sides with ANY team from list A or B ( blank slots teams ). You can also place ANY team from A & B lists into the second division.
So you can have kinda Euro leagues, but you have to settle for at least 2 leagues with ONLY the official teams from that country in them. Very odd, but probably a licensing issue that prohibits Konami from allowing us to alter EVRYthing, like we SHOULD be able to do !
