Master League questions...

Hey guys!
Can someone please give some insight concerning Master League this year and specifically:
01) Are transfers realistic in the new edition? I wouldn’t like to see unrealistic transfers like Mbappe to São Paulo or Aguero to Bayer Leverkusen and etc.
02) Are there REGENS?
03) Are club transfers updated since day 1 or we’ll need the patch as usual?
04) What you would say is the biggest change in ML this year?
05) Can the budget be adjusted between transfers and salary budgets?
06) What has been the biggest disappointment in your 1st or 2nd season playing ML?

Really keen on knowing the above as I’ve been a PES player since the good old days of ISS but if, depending on your answers I won’t be fully satisfied, I might just patch my PES 2018 this year with a 2019 option file.

Awaiting on your comments

I haven't played ML but from what little I heard seems the transfers logic is still f-up as usual.

1. No, example Man City sold 4 defenders from their starting line-up. Transfers are really bad.
2. Havent played that far, but it would be shock if Konami has done anything to regens.
3. Yes they are after Live Update on release day.
4. Biggest new thing is there is many leagues now and much more players from different leagues.
5. Yes, that a new thing. You can choose where your competition prizes, gate income etc. go to salary or transfer budget.
6. Transfers really make Master League huge disaster.

Master League is about same as it been for many years, only minor updates. Sad thing is it would still been very fun if only those transfers didnt destroy most teams rosters. Gameplay is fun and brilliant, so i guess we just have to suffer through it.

Thank you for this.

I wanted to know all of the above from someone that is playing the game hands on... rather than simply reading articles spread out in various websites.
I heard the issue with the transfer system continues and it seems Konami has done nothing about it for the past 2-3 editions.
If Man City sells 4 defenders from its starting line up... I’m thinking transfers this year are actually worse than PES 2018?!
Bhatti posted a picture yesterday on his Twitter account that he signed Neymar on his 2nd ML season with AC Milan (definitely unrealistic). I know it’s just a game but details matter. The way I see it such a transfer would only be possible from teams like Real Madrid, Manchester United or Barcelona.

Regens really ruin the ML experience for me. That is a huge letdown. If Messi or C. Ronaldo (among many other players) end up retiring... they should not come back as geniuses 16 year olds. Unfortunately this hasn’t been fixed for many years now.

Good thing about the transfer budget. Last year I recall having to sell good players just because the budget system was broken... as the club couldn’t keep up with extending contracts of players which demanded higher salaries.

I’ve been playing PES religiously since the ISS days (except for 2 years when I decided to give FIFA a go) and although there is a huge lack of licences... my convinction has always been that gameplay wins over excessive marketing; however, EA seems to have done amazing work obtaining TV rights and layouts for the Premier League, La Liga and Serie A this year. Cutscenes before and after matches. Manager interviews. Player presentation if a club strikes a deal with a VIP player and etc.

Looks like this year I will give FIFA 19 a try. Worse case scenario?
If I don’t like the “NEW” gameplay from EA Sports... I will sell the game and get PES, apply option file and oh well... cope with everything Konami hasn’t fixed for ML.

I also forgot to mention something that is extremely unrealistic: NOT one or f your players getting injured throughout a whole season.
I don’t think this has changed, by any chance, in PES 2019?

MY biggest issues with the transfers in ML is that you cannot turnoff the first window or lower transfer frequency. It causes a team that only has 22 guys to sign 6 guys. In Pes 2019 you cannot remove the fake teams from ML so even if they are not edited they are still there. the teams in one of the fake Asian leagues all have 16 players each. In the first transfer window all those teams sign a lot of players. All the Bundesliga players get signed since those teams are not in the game. People complain that they want more fake leagues. I dont!!!! I cannot even start a ML until all the teams are edited. Who cares the game comes out a month earlier than FIFA when you cannot play it for a month until people make leagues.

Another reason i think the transfers get messed up is because teams sell players that are not in there formation. A team will play a RMF with a 70 rating even though they have a RWF with a 85. I wish PES would get rid of Overall ratings & have it like they use to in older games. Also in older games (like PES 6) players just had positions of SB, WF, & WB. then you could put if they could play on left, right, or both.

Maybe I should just stick to PES 6.

After Arsenal - Man City game i got report that Bellerin have been injured from slide tackle, it was 5 day injury. So maybe we see injuries this year bit more, at PES 2018 i saw zero injury.

And about those fake leagues, today i got Bundesliga. So after couple days of game release we already have Bundesliga, only Mexico and Japan is missing. Turning off first transfer window would be lovely, too bad its not option.

** I kind of agree. I think a team's rating should determine whether superstar players join.

**For me personally, this does NOT need fixing. I would hate to get to get to 2025 Master League and the players are mainly made randomised players. Sorry, but I really like the Regens.

Good thing about the transfer budget. Last year I recall having to sell good players just because the budget system was broken... as the club couldn’t keep up with extending contracts of players which demanded higher salaries.
** Agree 100%, glad they fixed this.
