Anything that you could save on to your memory card. Go to codejunkies which is a site with thousands of saves. I dont have a clue how to link but Google should get you there. Another thing to remember is that you don't just have to look for .max files (max drive files, obviously) look for .xps (files for x ports) as well, as you can convert them with a converter which has been posted somwhere on this site.


You can't put music, .xps files or hope to get a save for some obscure game you have, as it is unlikely you will find a save for it.

Ok i've got my Max Drive and had no problems, i've been reading through this thread and someone said that you cannot put goals on the PC via Max Drive, is there not a way to convert the .max to .avi or some other extension, thanks in advance :)

I've just read all ten pages of posts on this topic but havent found anyone who's had the exact same problem as what happened to me tonight!

i was using the Max Drive with no problems, then tonight I put some of my save files from my mem Card to the MD-think it automatically crushed them so no probs. then I deleted 3 files (i think it was 3) off my memory card using the max drive software-deleted no probs. however when it went back to the memory card in devices (in MD software) there was NOTHING there!! thought it was just a hitch, so uncrushed the WE9 option file to my memory card again and turned off ps2.

Due to nothing showing up in my memory card in the max drive software, i went to the PS2 browser to check my memCard and it said NO DATA. however there is only 2.3MB of free space so there is obviously data still on there! not even the recently added, (unzipped, uncrushed, working) WE9 option file showed up.

thought t'internet is bound to give me the answers so just went ahead and stuck in WE9 and when it started up a message came up saying something about the option file not being the default option file-do u want to overwrite? yes/no so i chose Yes. loaded it up- and it worked-so happy days. Did a bit of in-game editing and went to save my work and it kept saying ERROR- Retry or Cancel? kept re-trying and no joy!
same error message when trying to save a league (just started one to test if it would save)
So I've came on here looking for answers!!!

Im just hoping i dont have to format my memory card and lose all my saved files-please someone tell me there is another solution!!!

PS does anyone know if the forums on www.codejunkies.comwork it says im unauthorized to view them???

aww CRAP!! is there any way to avoid what happened to these guys!! im losing hope big time now!

Maybe there's a problem with your memory card. I'd suggest you backup all the files, make sure they were backed up and then format the card and then hopefully it will work properly.

I cant back up the save files on my mem card as they wont show up in either the MD software or in the PS2 browser. i went to save a league in WE9 again to test and went down to the bottom right (where the WE9 option file always is) and WE9 said the option file was corrupt.

Don't know. Guess you'll have to just format it now and then it'll be fine.
Make regular backups of your option file.

Right, thanks Zyg, i'll just format it cuz i think i'd rather have a functional mem card than nothing!

Ive formatted my mem card usin max drive software but the mem card aint workin-disgusted! didnt know there where any probs with this happenin before i bought the MD, if i heard there where any probs, even if only a small % i never would've bought one. Im absolutely raging!

xbox patch help please!!

I have gone through this thread but I cannot find any help with my problem.
I have a Maxdrive for the xbox and I have a PAL Pro Evo 4.I have downloaded all the patches I need but I cannot get them to go on the Maxdrive.How do I extract the downloads.I know I'm missing something here!I have used Win.rar but the message keeps coming up as invalid xbox save.
Someone please help....

NZ PES 4 with max drive

Hey,
I live in New Zealand (a PAL territory) and am about to pre order PES 5 here and a max drive from the UK. Will there be any problems or does the max drive definately work with all PAL ps2's and games?

Max Drive is for transferring option files and other memory card file. It will not help you with patches or patching your game. Only xbox option files can be transferred by your max drive.

Sorry to read that. Don't see how or why that would have happened. Does the memory card not work at all? How old is it? It sounds like the mem card just died. Probably not caused by the max drive.

Max Drive does works with all PAL game saves. And it does work with NTSC game saves too - for my games anyway. Meaning you can backup and transfer option files for non pal games.

It is a few years old now- 3/4 yrs old. it comes up in the ps2 browser ok and the save files i. transferred onto it from MD i think actually show up, but the games do not recognise them and i cannot save data from the games to the MC. just seems a bit odd that it would die as i was using it with MD when its been workin before, and ive read other people that have had the same problem.

when i get a new mem card i will still use ti for pro evo option files, but i dunno if i'll use it to "manage" my saves. i'll see.

I cant patch and see this as my only option for getting real official team kits and stadia etc. I've read the advertisement for Max-Drive but am still not sure exactly what it can do. Will it allow me to get kits and such from the option files that are posted on this sight?
