Having done some more digging, I believe that the dwevans XBOX option file is in X-PORT format when you download it. Is there a way to convert this file to a Maxdrive file.

I know there is converter software for the PS2 version but nothing for XBOX.

MAX Drive problems

I have a Max Drive and I downloaded a PES 5 Optionfile (this was its name) and I uncrushed it to my memory card but my PES5 game doesnt recognise the file. Once i managed to get it work (long time ago) but i dunno how it was. When I uncrushed the file to my memory card it shows a Xport logo instead of a football. Does someone know whats the problem? What am i doing wrong? Or how should I do it?

can I save games directly onto the max drive for the ps2 and do away with my standerd memory card or do i need to keep memory card?

The Max Drive is only used to transfer files between the memory card and your hard disk. You must use a memory card to use the files in your games.

I bought a maxdrive and downed de pesfan v2 option file. Its a .max file. its 792 kb. Do i need 2 uncrush is to memcard or just transfer?

Right.
Delete option file on your memory card. Delete all option files on your max drive.
Download a max drive option file, unzip it and copy it onto your max drive.
Uncrush the option file onto your memory card.

Load game, play with updated option file, joy all round and happiness.

OK now when i start PES 5 it starts to load the option file but stops about quarter of the way through and says "An Error Has Occurred", tomorrow i will try my friends memory card to see if his one works

I tried my mates memory card and it worked fine so i got myself a new card and its working fine now, thanks anyway
