All right, so Ricardo Lavolpe named his 26-man provisional squad over the weekend, the first World Cup coach to do so. He'll have to trim it to 23 by May 15. No Cuauhtemoc Blanco in the squad -- some Mexico fans will probably want to create him just out of protest. With Lavolpe's squad in mind, let's look at what we have and what we need.

Here are the players whose appearances are already on this thread: Oswaldo Sanchez, Francisco Rodriguez, Carlos Salcido, Gonzalo Pineda, Jared Borgetti, Guillermo Franco, Omar Bravo, Kikin Fonseca. Additionally, Rafael Marquez's default appearance is probably good enough, though if anyone has a better one, they're welcome to post it.

These players are in the game and need better appearances: Mario Mendez, Ricardo Osorio, Luis Ernesto Perez, Pavel Pardo, Antonio "Zinha" Naelson, Rafael "Chiquis" Garcia, Jaime Lozano, Israel Lopez, Ramon Morales.

Benglez, will try out your Osorio appearance. I've linked this thread to California Clown's World Cup appearance thread. We'll fix the default appearances for Mexico and all the other teams that need it. (The appearances for Iran are even worse than Mexico's.)
