Mixed feelings

Basically I loved pes 11, but at first I hated it but fell in love with it and clocked 150 hours on it. I spent $70 on pes 12 and didn't feel like it was worth it. I got mixed feeling about this, I'll be enjoying it, but at times it's meh, but the thought that I spent $70 also bothers me. I Wish I didn't delete the op.

Hey PesO, I feel bad you dropped $70 when I paid $49. I'm guessing you mail ordered. Regardless, I hear ya - I could see having mixed emotions - a few things just off but I enjoyed my first night with it. You must know this site well even with only one post based on the FIFA remark. My wife came downstairs to see the new version and instantly said - I don't like the way it looks and asked if they are running or sliding across the pitch. If someone who doesn't even play but only watches once in a while sees a major difference than it really must be different. I think it doesn't look as good as '11 but feels better. Although some of the feel was odd that will have to take me getting used to. Perhaps too much player control and response. I should not be able to dribble in a circle without a little body lean or arms extended outwards. I did not play either demo. I feel dropping the pass assist and the speed lower are a must. Full pass assist is really odd.

I'll be setting my alarm an hour earlier than usual to get two quick games in before going to work.

I feel dumb for deleting my OP. I just didn't want to get flamed haha.
Yeah I guess it takes some time to get used to, the game keeps drawing me back though so I guess that's a good sign. Maybe it just takes some time to get into it. It's how I felt with pes 11, I hated it at first but fell in love after.

If it makes you feel any better I spend much more than that every month on cigarettes and booze. Not only is there little value in that, it also has to chip away at my life lol. If you're gonna play the game for even as little as 1 month, I say money well spent ;)

I understand you mate, I have downloaded the game at tpb to see the difference from the demos, and make my mind about buying it or not, sometimes the frustration is just too much but other times is beautiful to watch a replay of your team moving around the pitch and ending up scoring, I guess that is how you are suppose to feel when you are playing football.

Some flaws still there, is like konami just made less worst, why didnt they fix the power bar for passing ?!?!, once you experience the flaws of the game engine you have to live with it or you gonna end up going nuts, like I did last year, poor of my controller lol !!!!

i also loved PES 11 and im in the middle of deleting an excellent OP...but I have to say im really enjoying 12 love how I have it set up zero pass assistant, manual control, and once I get going its great, annoys me at times with some of the soft passes to a close player when i used more power and it only trickles towards them, but i think its a touch thing as im making fewer errors like that.

@orlando when you say pass assistant do you mean the option in the game pass support?????

controller settings pass assistance off (that blue line take it all the way off)

in personal data i do this

Semi Assisted for the cursor change
teamate control - manual so i have complete control of the two players (so far impossible for me online due to the speed other human players close down the player in possession)

player assistance off except for shooting

That does make me feel better. Not about your health diminishing, but the fact that money is better spent on pes

Yeah, building up the play and scoring is very rewarding, but I feel the ai can still use some work. We'll see about this coming patch.
