ML Defenders playing as strikers?

Hi,

I've been playing pro evo 14 for about 3 hours now, just on master league offline (only thing I buy pro evo for) and I have come across something that's making my blood boil.

Every single game that I've played, either my centre back or my right back play as a striker.... they leave defence and waltz up the field.

Why? I have no idea... position switch is 0 ive set them to mark opposition strikers also so they don't move.... no matter what I try one of them will go and sit up front.

Its making me angry now because im 2wins, 2draws, 2loses... That should be 6wins, but when im having a gaping whole in my defence for 9 minutes... why the funk am I supposed to do?

Can anyone advise? Has anyone else come across this?

Are you passing while holding r2 perhaps? It makes the player sprint forward. In past versions I used it for precision passing (I think...).

Have no idea if this helps, I haven't encountered this problem and am 3/4 season in ML

Exact same thing is happening to me i have Paccini right back and he thinks hes playing in behind the striker!!!

I have sorted this guys, you have to go to your tatics on your formation and its the bottom option attack/defend something or other. Anything over 15 makes the, defender/s play as strikers.

Try it out, it took me around 45 minutes to get my tatics perfect and now i hardly lose

I am playing League Mode on PES2014 presently with a Created team and Created players. My central defender is the highest goal scorer. I hope Konami fix that on the upcoming DLC in November.

it has to do with attack/defence level a high value would make defenders play like attackers
