ML Squad Management

I was thinking squad management would be quite fun this year after reading about it. Making sure most players got their chance, and also trying to keep the stars happy.

Well, safe to say that I think the whole thing is fucked up.

ML as Tottenham, real squads, Top Player

Before Match 1, Training match (2-1 win)
- Nothing specific happened

Before Match 2, Champions League (3-2 win)
- Cudicini, Dawson and Rose complaining about not getting enough first team football.

Before Match 3, Premier League (3-0 win)
- 90% of the squad was apparently fatigued due to CL match and International match.

Before Match 4, Champions League (1-1 draw)
- Several players complaining about not getting enough first team football, and several other players complaining that they had to play when they was tired.

Before Match 5, Premier League (5-0 win)
- Team morale seems dwindling, almost every player has a concern, not playing enough, playing too much or unhappy with one of my previous answers to their concerns.

And so it goes on... I wonder if Konami even tried the game mode at all before they released the game. This should be pretty easy to fix, though.

Am I the only one that this happens to, or is it a general problem?

Probably not I hope they will do some improvments. I had a funny situation where Johnson in my Liverpool ML squad was complaining for not picking him in one game though he played over 40 game in season.

OK, I'm halfway in season one and things don't look as black. OK, the players are still bitching and moaning like there's no tomorrow, but few of them are actually unhappy.

Some of it is really annoying though, for example if I leave King out for one match to keep him fit for a CL match the same week, he bitch about being sidelined and backs up his case with reasons that he is better than all the other defenders. That is completely bullshit, as I have better defenders than him, but I just let him know that it's to keep him fresh for a game, yada yada and he is ok again.

This happens every time I leave a fairly good player out of the squad, not only with King. Which is a problem, because most of the Spurs squad is relatively good. So these player talks are becoming rather time consuming, and is too poorly implemented to actually be any funny.

yep, it used to piss me off in Pes 2011 when the odd player would moan about not playing, but usually it was a decent player so you could kind of see their point but now you get all players moaning about not playing.

TBH I don't think parts of the game are finished, but little things like this can be easily fixed in a patch, whether KONAMI will or not is another story.

At the moment, I'm only playing a few games a session at the most 3 or 4, because it just frustrates me so much. I really REALLY want to like this game, but so far I spend most of the time shaking my head, wondering what the hell's going on

Yeah, but I start to wonder if games nowadays are bad because I'm too old to be fooled by the fancy graphics anymore. Or if the games nowadays are simply worse than they used to be...

Ive been thinking the same thing, I wonder what it would be like if they made and HD remake of PES 6 with updated squads...

I don't think that would be good at all tbh. PES6 was ok for its time, PES5 was better in my opinion, but PES12 are miles better in almost every aspect, despite its flaws.
