MLO Team Improving?

Hey, Ive started playing MLO about two weeks ago (it doesnt sound like a lot but) Ive been playing pes 2012 since its out so I know how to play.

My problem is that im stuck with a 17 player team thats half default players, half 70-72 players, a 76 keeper and a 78 star.
Even though I was deranked from D2 to D5 last week, I always get opponents with amazing teams (robben, messi, lennon, xabi alonso, puyol etc.) and mine is... well... not. Whats more twisted about this is that usually the human players are worse than me, but their team covers it...
Every calculatin I made told me I make just enough money from games to pay my current teams contract, not to talk about buying new players.
Am I missing something in MLO or just many players are cheaters?

It has always been like that. (Probably easier when PES 2012 came out since there were less ppl with super star teams then). And most arent cheaters, they have just playing since it started.

There are a couple of tips to improve your team faster:
-Sign up for MyPes app on facebook (the 300k+ help a lot)
-Sign up for all the competitions you can (they are 5min games and if you rank in the best half or so you get a bonus at the end)

Last tip is to, in theory, have 2 teams
-Have a team of 11 of your best players (the ones you use regularly). Ideally you will only play them against teams you can beat or have a fair match.
-Have a team of 11 of the cheapest contract players (the ones that charge 400k or so). When you are faced against a team full of superstars use that team and try to go for a draw or win if you believe in your skills.

Oh and once your starting players fulfill their contracts get rid of them. They are junk for what they charge.

Thank you so much I had no idea about myPES and it gives me extra 500k every game which helps me get my team back on its feet (Im also starting to buy 20 matches contracts).

Since fatigue is growing really fast, I prefer having 1 squad of 18-22 players that rotate so no one gets very fatigued.

i got a team worth just under a billion. made it buy giving out 50game contracts for everyone. get a massive squad and improve the team as contracts expire. the more your squad is worth the more u get in gate receipts. with mypes bonuse i end up with £4.2mil per win!!!!

Sorry but from my experience, handing out 50 games contracts is one stupid idea. I've got a team of about $850 million too, and unless you are playing every day, like crazy, it is not a good idea. You end up with half the squad in bad form/condition while they still have like 30 games or so left to play... Eventually, if you have a huge squad, you will have to sell some of the players, to make room for new ones - in good form. Selling a player that still has 30 games left on his contract will not look good on your bank account.

20 games for players going up, who'se form is 6 or greater; or 10 games to any player who'se on top and going down. 50 games is just dull...

think it depends what you want to gain from it. At the start if you have a player you know you're gonna want to keep then 50 game contracts make sense because you're saving millions in match fees. I found that once I really liked a player, esp the likes of Mphela, Barretto, Pato for me and later Ronaldo, Messi then this was definitely the way to go. Now I'm also over £1billion, earning over £4mill per match and the money isn't really such an issue. At this stage I have a full squad of superstars and generally always have a squad of players in decent form. Apart from some very minor tinkering I won't have to change much at all- maybe I'm lucky with my choices that when some are on the up others are down and vice versa but it works for me. I would definitely advocate going for the 50 match contracts of players you like whenever you can afford to, if you have a decent squad (which you seem to have) then you can rest them when their form dips and bring them back in when it improves.

I'd also suggest that just before a tournament begins, play a match and rest up your key players. You may struggle to win that game but it'll give you a fresh team when it comes to the tournament and a better chance of progressing. If you don't care about your win ratio then play your cheapest team available in coach mode while you're watching TV or something, they'll still make you moneyand allow you to rest players too. 3rd tip is to use substitutes before 70th minute as this is when it seems to really hit stamina for the next match. Esp if you're winning comfortably or getting hammered, look to the next match and make your subs

hope this helps someone

You know one thing that I've never done is sign more than a 10 game contract with my MLO players. Maybe this is what is keeping me from breaking into a better team. Currently my players are around the 75-80 range in rating.

My biggest impovement came when I signed players with a 7/8 condition rating and signed them on 50 game contracts - this meant that they stayed in high form for longer than most players, meaning I had a full squad (32 I think it is, and 26 or so were 7/8 condition guys, so at most I usually have only 6/7 players in less than green condition.

This meant I saved lots of money, and managed to get enough to buy some real superstars.

Good 7/8 condition guys are;

Quagriella
De natale
Di Michele
Glenn Johnson
Jagielka
Kameni
Friedel
Ansaldi
Santon
Parker
Park Ji Sung
Olic
Nagatomo
Abate
De Jong
Kompany
Eto'o
Silva
Rooney
Aguero

Then of course the cheaper players who are less conditioned but can do a great job when in good condition;

Mphela
Barretto
Van der Mirch
Petorbenov
Eriksen
