My BAL Thoughts.

I got the game on PC earlier this morning after my horrible experience with it on my PS3(Stuttering, FPS Drop, Extremely Slow in Game Plan and PES6 looking graphics). So i started my BAL career right away and i was impressed by the amount of roles and positions you can chose from(Poacher, Target Man, Fox in the box and much more you can even be a GK) and the fact that you can pick the league you wanna start in(rather than just throw you in those uninteresting PES Leagues), So i picked Serie A and got assigned to Livorno and got benched for the first 11-12 games for no specific reason(didn't even feature in the pre season) until i got my first start vs Hellas Verona and scored twice before i was subbed in the 60th min then benched for few more games. In January i requested transfer to RM and suprisingly got an offer(usually in the previous games they snub you until you're Real Madrid caliber) so i accepted it and started vs Elche and scored twice then got subbed again and got a start in the following game which i didn't play yet. Please note that i am playing in Super Star difficulty.

I think they have improved a lot of things like the AI(they now actually pass and create chances), choosing which league to start at, added a lot of positions but they also removed other thins like your presentation at your new club, PES Shop, Agents.

Overall i'd give the BAL this year 6.5\10 and i hope they are planning to patch few things.

This whole paragraph is great news, especially the AI and all the things removed.

Well the AI isn't that perfect yet but at least you don't see all the 0-0 games like in the previous versions. Also it might be just me but i think the motivation thing for home teams is a bit over the top.

So no more AI not knowing what to do with the ball, going in straight line, loose the ball etc ?

I am not a fan of FIFA, but at least, the AI of your teamates is exactly the same as the AI opponent team. It's what you should expect form a Become a Player mode.

Still no news of PES 2014 on Steam. I am going to try the demo on X360 now.

Unfortunately, this is still present. I've seen this happen a few times in the first two games I've played in BAL. There's a loose ball and my team has a defender right by it, but he just stares at the ball.

This has been disappointing me for so many years in PES, I was really hoping this was fixed this year (I've been hoping for many years actually!!!).

They still do it from time to time but now you see your team mates putting many brilliant through balls for you but defenders with turbo boosts ruin it.

God damn they ahve taken a decent mode from pes2013 and stripped it back to nothing, and the AI is more inept than ever.

And what the fuck is up with dribbling this year? The legs move but nothing fucking happens your player just looks retarded, grunting and jostling before tripping over the fucking ball.

I picked defensive midfield as my position, ive done 1 season and a bit, first season with Crystal Palace playing 14 games and in the 2nd season so far with Spurs played 2 games so far ALL at Centre-back.

hi guys,

i have a frustating problem with my bal game.

when i walk or running with my player and i stop....then he walks or runs for another 2/3 meters (thats very annoying and frustating)

also....i am in my 4th season and still got subbed between 61/70th minute!!!!!

i play now for 5/6 years legend and i had no complains about that.................

so my question.....is it just me or has someone else,also have this problem with that.

You mean game feels slugish ? I went from high settings to medium and now game works really fast,before my character also had same problem as yours. Maybe that will help you. Try it out.


Otherwise i'm very glad they returned with goalkeepers this year,bad thing is that they removed presentation,there are no agents like op said. I like that there is no more PES shop,it felt kinda cheaty. What i also really don't like are the menus in game,it feels like chore navigating around :|

What do you mean by high settings to medium setting?.....
The difficulty of the game(amateur,pro,average etc.)...........
..or other settings?

Go to your main folder where you installed the game,and you'll find "settings" icon. Set it to medium graphical settings. Profit ?!

But i have a question about that(because i am not that good with computers)
I don't have my game data on my pc,so.....i must put my gamedata(like editdata,sysstemdata etc.) on a usbstick from my ps3
,and then i put the game data from my usb to my computer?(like that??)

Oh you are ps3 user,then i'm sorry mate i can't help you. There are no graphical settings on consoles,you get what you get and thats it :/

this is the worst football game i have ever played. there is so much wrong with it i have snapped the disc and will be buying fifa from now on. the last version i got was PES 2011 and while it had its problems, konami could have just tweaked some bits here and there and made BAL absolutely awesome. instead PES2014 seems to have taken a 20 year step backwards. why when i hit shoot does my avatar take 2 extra touches (yes, TWO!!) by which time defenders have caught up with me tackled me and i'm falling over the goalie... i'm not the greatest player at this game anyway, but with the added rubbish gameplay and jerky graphics, it is unbearable, to the point i have destroyed my controller in frustration... there is so much wrong with this game they should be offering refunds and concentrating on making PES2015 a billion % better, then it might be half as good as PES2011.
