If you want to play football with other people, buy a football and call some friends. If you want to play football by yourself, buy a computer game.
What a ridiculous statement.

I have high hopes for 14. Just hope they can get the multi player right.

No, it's really not. Online gaming is not the way to go, especially for football games. FIFA can handle that part, PES should focus on good solid single player and wipe the whole fucked up online component from the game, forget it ever existed.

You seem like the type of guy who likes to jump to conclusions without anything to base the conclusions on.

All I have to base my conclusions on is your own posts in this forum. Take from that what you will.

Also, I agree that your statement was ridiculous. How can Konami ignore online gaming completely for PES when it is a huge part of modern gaming and in a lot of cases the only mode people play at all? Wouldn't that drive even more loyal and potential customers away?

You're right that they have fucked up the online component over the years but they have also fucked up the single player so by your logic they should just "forget it ever existed" too?

Nuttier than squirrel shit.

I doubt that. Many people I know care about master league mode mostly, then about custom cups & leagues (Konami removed the later!) for tea gaming parties. I sold my copy for cheap this year because it does not have a league mode. A LEAGUE MODE for f#&! sake. How could they removed it?!!
I don't even care if they keep or remove online play (obviously unlikely). I never tried a PES game online.

I get bored extremely quickly with offline single player footy games these days because there's no comparison to beating another human whether online or offline rather than just playing some repetitive A.I .

^Well, "PES4" is already dead by now ;)
Instead we should move on nine years forward and speak about PES2014.

You passed the observation test! Please move swiftly on to level 2, which is situated in the largest crater on Uranus.

I dont think PES14 is as hotly anticipated as previous PES titles were, people are a bit more guarded and sceptical these days after being let down too many times by Konami.

I'll be renting this one to try before I buy, just like I did with PES 2013. Which I chose not to buy after renting. The pre-release hype, the fervent fanboy speculation that THIS TIME Konami will get it right and even the demo releases mean nothing to me these days because not one of these things have been indicitive of what the final product is actually like over the last few years.

I'm glad Konami appear to be moving in the right direction with PES14 but it's long overdue and I still dont trust them not to make a complete arse of things in one way or another.

My Football game history: Fifa international, Fifa 97, RTWC 98, Fifa 99, Fifa 2003, PES2/3/4/5/6/2008, fifa 09, Fifa 10, PES12/13... I go where the best game is, in my opinion its swung round to pes again this year having played both.

Was not impressed by Fifa 14 graphics, looked cartoony to me, but we shall see... PES looks promising, can't wait for E3!
