Inspired by Fick's generosity in offering his Daihatsu Midget for any takers, I thought I would set up a thread to help those of you early in the game to progress a little quicker.

As I've been steadily playing the game for a while, with an emphasis on collecting cars, I have bought a lot of cars I simply like the look of that I don't really use much (maybe one day).

I am happy to loan them out to people, should you wish to have a test drive or complete a certain event using any of them. If you want to borrow one, simply either send me a PM, request via PSN messaging or GT5 messaging (via Community), or ask in this thread.

Unfortunately, the game limits gifts to cars that are worth less than 1,000,000 credits, so none of the supercars are available. However, if you wanted to borrow something a little more everyday, then I'm here to help.

All I ask is that you (a) give it back eventually/on my request and (b) you do not respray the car, buy additional parts or modify any of the settings sheets (except C).

On to the cars...

to help those of you early in the game to progress a little quicker.

This is the bit that hooks me. I'm about 15 months behind everyone else because of the whole YLOD saga.

What would you recommend to get me off the blocks quickly? I haven't looked at the races recently, and will come back here again after doing so obviously...

buy the honda civic first, then race modify it. playing while hooked online earns more money per race.

that Nifty list is daunting. I am down with you m-matt as will a lot of others so no worry. I job will be to knock nifty off with all that experience he has.

Don't worry Matt. I only got the game this morning and have already got the Race Modified Civic which is about £130k to save up.

I completed all B licenses to gold standard and a few races and I was there.

I wouldn't mind that Suzuki Cappuccino if it is still available? I was going to buy it once I had enough credits after race modifying the Civic but I ended up buying the second car in the garage thread, the VW Golf GTI. I need the Suzuki for the 4th set of races in the beginner series.

Right, it seems I can only gift one per day.

Phatmann - I have sent the Suzuki Capuccino your way. Please give it back in one piece.

Apps - sorry; I should've sent you the Alfa first, really, as you're online now - but I didn't know there was a limit per day (at least I thought it would be higher than one).

I'll have to send it over after midnight.
