what do you mean?, theyre £180. thats fucking cheaper than a 360 at the moment. havnt got one, but i am considering it. my main concern is over the controller, if that is shite, then the whole thing will be shite, altho i heard you can get cube controllers for it. the zelda game looks good as does the redsteel game. my mates got one, so prob play on his before buying one myself.

If you ask me, PS3 and Xbox 360 are not true competition for the Wii, the Wii is a far more 'fun' console.I don't mean it's better but it revolves around being and fun and novel, a great multiplayer console when you want to have a laugh with your mates. I wouldn't be surprised to see people with a PS3 or Xbox 360 for regular gaming and a Wii on the side as a second console for a bit of a laugh, when the prices for each come down a little of course.

thats true, it does appear to be a more 'novel' console than a serious console. nintendo have a history of taking a more novel approach to gaming e.g. wario party, super monkey ball etc.

The new controller concept is great, but I can't make my mind up...
I'm thinking about getting a PSP or a Wii console...but which one?
I can take the PSP everywhere but it's nothing new right? It's just a crappy PS2 version, although with mp3...and dvd...but I have an mp3...and I don't like watching dvd's in a 4" screen...
The Wii is really funny right?That's what I heard...that sports game and stuff...but I'm thinking of getting it along with an fps, but I can't take the Wii everywhere...by the way how big is it?
I'm no master of consoles...I like playing games on the computer...so when getting the Wii what will I get? I used to see it this way: PS2=XBOX=GameCube (although I admit the Xbox had this nice cars game with great graphism) and now I see it this way: PS3=XBOX360=Wii...
Is this right?Or getting the Wii will be like getting a PS 2,5 with a cool controller?
I won't choose it because of the price...it's around the same uh?

Well I got my Wii Friday but was let out of hospital Saturday afternoon so had to wait a while to play it.

And I love it! It's really different to anything else I've played before. I can't stand up yet so not really able to play as intended but it's still enjoyable. Wii Sports is great for a free game (bowling and tennis are good fun). I also got Call of Duty 3 for it, but the control system for that will take a while to get used to - you need the co-ordinaton where you are aiming and where you are walking with different hands, but I'm sure with practice it will be awesome.

Awesome console, and at a really good price to!

Cool, I love the CoD series, one question that makes me hesitate...is the Wii-control smooth? Like...does it responds to your movements or it has some sort of delay? Because as short as that delay can be I hate it...
Now, I saw the other thread omg...80 pounds? Is it? We use Euros
So...80 pounds is like 114 Euros...and in the store it costs about 250 Euros...omg which is like 175 pounds...am I doing this right? Or is it pennies? Err..

And does your hand hurts after playing a while? Because it doesn't seem too confortable...maybe it feels different?

Okay, I would definitely get a Wii over a PSP. As far as I know, a PSP doesn't last very long until it needs recharging. Wii's graphics won't be as good as the Xbox360 or the PS3 as they have focused on gameplay more than graphics. It also depends what type of games you are into aswell.

Anyway, I would take Wii over PSP simply because its more enjoyable and anybody can have fun playing it. Like I said earlier, my dad doesn't play computer games and he was having fun playing Wii Sports. If you don't like any kind of excerise then you probably shouldn't get a Wii.

Haha, yeh, it's probably something similar to that PS2 camera...the EyeToy I think? I couldn't see myself playing that, but I had lots of great times with that kid stuff...
Your dad playing games, I can see it as my dad...he used to play GT but then never touched it, untill we got a steering wheel to play Colin McRae Rally, and a gun to play those "Shoot the ducks" games, ahha, I think it's what you get at Wii, interactivity, does it come with 2 Wii-controllers?
Yah, I think I'll stick with the Wii..PSP can easily get broken when it falls...
However it makes me want to buy a new tv...those plasma ones...but money won't stretch

Yep I got one and it's going to be awesome. I say 'going to be' as it will need time (as most new consoles do) to get itself fully functional and ready, such as WiiConnect and the WVC. THe games look quite good though. CoD3 is good but I'm still trying to get to grips with the controls though. Getting Zelda for Christmas.

I can see the Wii going a long way.

You mean the remote is smooth? While playing CoD, how would you turn around really fast?
