Hey guys

I had both pro evo 2008 and FIFA 08 and was really looking forward to both. I know that pro evo would not have all the kits but would have the gameplay and i knew FIFA would have some good points the be a pro mode was good for a while then I got bored of it. But in the end I sold them both as lets be honest both of them were really bad for next gen machines. I think that these guys must think we are suckers and would buy any crap thats under the pro evo or fifa brand. I am not looking forward at all to the next versions of pro evo or fifa as again it will just be a little touch up here and there and still nothing really new. I suppose what really gets me annoyed is the woeful online mode of pro evo 2008 I never had any lag at all with pro evo 6 it might not have been a master piece but at least its online mode was good. I would like to know how you guys feel about it?

Alive in the superunknown
I feel exactly the same. We're gonna have to wait, and rely on previous glorious PES games until that day comes. (probably in 2009 now :()

Maybe i'm just not as picky as others but i love both PES2008 and Fifa08.

Graphics are brilliant, gameplay is amazing and the feeling you get from playing either is immense.

I think the problem people have with both games was their level of expectation. If you have high expectations you're heading for nothing but a fall.

If you were to take a step back and actual take time to notice the good points of either game i don't see what the problem is!!

it's all down to personal opinion.

Fifa: I love the presentation The strips, the pitches, the crowds, the licences

I love the whole presentation. And the football is the best it has ever been

Pro evo: the gameplay is fantastic. And again the presentation (although not as good as fifa) Is fantastic as well

I don't play online so i dont know the problems there!

Thats a good point I suppose but with all the money these companies make of people they should be able to make a decent game for a two very powerful systems. At the end of the day games are to be enjoyed and for the first time with pro evo I didnt enjoy the game.

Does anybody think that Konami will come out with a really kick ass pro evo or will it be the same and people being let down.

Live Forever!!
With the exception of the horrendous on line play I'm a big fan of this years Pro. That fault aside it is a good game.

On the 360 the graphics are fantastic and the game play is good as per usual.

I get the feeling people like to make a mountain out of a mole hill in terms of the faults that exist instead of just enjoying the game for what it is.

PES has taken a step back.
It was expected that the real 1st attempt at next gen were not the jaw-dropping game some peeps expected.
Also, Konami failing miserably is a good thing because they are now forced to up-the-ante for the next release and Fifa will want to expand on their success.
Being the optimist that I am I foresee a good year for footy games.
Remember we are the consumers and what we buy is upto us.
