Guys..
I thought this Become A Legend mode was like a revolution in PES series because I it's so good and addictive, I still play it all the time..
Many people here have loved it and it's way better than FIFA's Be A Pro..
I was badly waiting to know the improvements in BAL in PES 2010..
It was already good but many new things were suggested..
So, why no one's talking about it now? Please all the proud owners..shed some light..
What are the new things in BAL? Is champions league in it? Any new features?

As far as I know there are very few new features for BAL, no biggie, doubt I'll play it much, but I appreciated others might be a bit miffed.

It has CL and EL integrated doesnt it? If so, those are pretty big improvements + the new league structure. Basically all the improvements in the ML should be in BAL apart from currency.

I've been playing BaL 2010. I'm bored... I can't dribble past anybody, I have taken like 10 shots of which 5 have actually required keeper intervention, 2 have been goals; this in around 20 games.

I'm about to breach into the starting 11. I guess the new 2010 gameplay is not well suited to becoming a legend. I just do stupid, simple passes and 99.99% of dribbling attempts end up with me fumbling and giving away possession. Taking a shot has proven to be virtually impossible, unless it's from 100 yards away. I was a god in PES2009, my virtual avatar that is, Player of the world, the whole thing. Now, not so much.

I got the game today, that's all I've played, maybe I need more time with it. I need to figure it out, get used to it. So far, though, it feels too slow and unresponsive.

nah was the same on 2009 until ur stats got better its supposed to be that hard, otherwise u can play on easy, its meant to be a challenge not a goal feast.

From what I've heard there has been no big overhaul, except for the addition of Champions League and Europe League into the season. We should be making a list for them to overhaul it like they did the Master League.

The BAL in 2010 has been improved. I've played it (but still training match T_T) and the AI is great, they love to pass, initiate 1-2, and initiate counter attack. If you've played BAL in 2009, the AI hates to pass to you if you're not that skilled even if you press RTx2. But in 2010, if you know how to move in a great attacking position, then they'll setup a through ball for you without you even asking. That's what I experienced so far.

I was addicted to BAL in 2009 its all i played it was awsome!! i never played any other modes for a year! it was so realistic passing and movement off the ball! so addictive.

in 2010 so far it SUCKS big time. the change of game play just doesnt work.
I agree with what you said. its just too bumping in to every one! slow reactions, cant get away from players, players hessitate to give away your yard advantage!!

I can score corners thats about it! or scrappy goals.


i scored some awsome goals in 2009 mwaaaahhhhhhhhhh!

BAL mode seems to have taken a step backwards in my opinion. I am Aston Villa, i finally broke into the team and it is more frustrating than last time. All my players want to do is pass it backwards, they hardly ever attack and when they do, they lose the ball. When i get passed to the player is really slow to react, even when i press pass, there players seem to be able to close you down and block nearly everything.

I don't know if it's just me but the teams i play against seem to attack better, pass better, have better reactions. faster players, my players are slow hardly ever run at them and sometimes even when the ball is near don't even go for it. Getting to the point now where i might give up on this mode. I thought the AI would be better this time around... it's even worse.

Two questions.

1. Is there a BAL editor for 2010.

2. Is there relegation/promotion?

Also, I'm trying my hardest to figure out a way to put in the Championship teams (from Arsenal4life's patch at EvoWeb) but still haven't figured it out to make them D2. Of course if there is no relegation/promotion, this would make sense.

This is for PC btw.

I totally agree with what you say. At first I thought it was better but I'm in my 3rd season now and I must conclude that it is worst than in 09 :realmad:.

The defense is totally crap. All they do is walk back when the opposite attacks. What's that all about?
Even more lofted passes everywhere on the pitch and 9 out of 10 means loss of possession. Stupid crosses form left to right and vice versa also means loss of possession.
Stupid high passes from the halfway opposites half that always ends up in the keepers hand. :realmad:
I'm in my 1st season at Barca and when you think we would dominate most of the games then you're wrong because most matches are dominated by the other team form Atletico to Zaragoza :realmad:
CL and EL are nice additions though but my fun is not as much as in 09.:no:

just finished my first season with BAL, was serie A champions with catania lol, not a bad start.. playing with shitty stats is a lil frustrating, i only got to score twice in the whole season, however i got a few assistences, anyways, on my first second season game i scored 4 times.. twice of what i scored in the whole las season lol. anyways, they really should do something about starts, i know its not good to start with that good stats and all that, but at least something decent so you dont look like a regular dude taken outta the street and sent into a club to play with professional players lol..

ya i was surprised too lol, morimoto and jorge martinez just kept scoring and in the games i played in that season after i reached bench the team only lost around 2 or 3 games.. not sure how it happened but i had 2-3 points difference with inter when season ended :p
