hi guys!i think I have found a way to minimize the danger from through balls!!!and it is the old fashion libero at defense!2 cb and a libero in front of them!i find it very effective!i'm waiting for your comments...

Alot of people pretty much already use a similar method playing a super deep DMF parked just in front of the back 4, but honestly you could have your whole team there and one will still get through at least once a match cause the cursor switching and switch pausing is so problematic.

Quite often my 2xCBS are more than capable of getting it, but getting control of them and reacting in time are another thing entirely.

Yeah that is driving me up the wall on MLO, sometimes my CB's run AWAY from the ball! I conceded a really soft goal against some kid the other night, my keeper parried the ball and I couldn't control the nearest defender to clear it - he scored such an easy tap in because of it.

I'm playing with an ultra deep back 4 and 2 DMFs in front of them.

I still get toasted with those through balls.

The mind boggling thing about all this is that when they introduced the new manual pass system they essentially made it obselete by making through balls, which were already overpowered, the only type of pass you need in the final 3rd.

Really with the manual pass system they should have removed long balls not made them better imo

The Through balls are just too good. I find playing a back 3 is more effective than a back 4. I still get hit by through balls down the wings but I'm more solid through the middle.

That's the thing with proper through balls though, isn't it? You see it in real life all the time, good through balls are hard to chase down.

However, this game does feel a little too focused on through ball offence.

I have started using manual pass for through balls, its always tempting to use the through ball button though but manual pass is much more enjoyable and when you do master it you get more freedom than pressing the automated through ball.
