Online Experience disappointing..........

I'm new to the whole online gaming.
PES on the PS3 has been my first online attempt....
as much as it is something diff. and fun.
it just isnt what i expected

It may not be Konami's fault with this point but having to play the same teams over and over is kinda dull...

but my biggest gripe is having to play a Master league team...say Barcelona with Rooney, Gerrard, ronaldo AND messi???!!! wtf
that just makes the game feel like a NBA JAM kinda setting
run and gun!
in my opinion, if i wanted that, i'd just buy FIFA

that lag times have become disgusting.
lost a lot of games cause i had to cancel a lot of them or just couldnt deal with the delays

maybe putting a connection display in the quick match option is a idea
also, the icons on the Match Rooms should have some kind of "key" or "legend" to tell us what some of them are.

doubt i'm gonna buy fifa next yr, tho they have improved their gameplay, PES is still a little better....

I have played 100 games and 5 were aginst non Barca-, Brazil-, Argentina-, Real lamers.

I have mainly used Nigeria but also Uzbekistan, Oman, Austria and other crap teams but people continue to play with Messi and Ronaldo.


I still havent met a really good player.

Konami have proven just how useless they are with getting the online game to work. The lack of online functionality has already hugely damaged the games following (who do you know that actually plays ProEvo these days?). Even if they do finally get 1 v 1 to work to an acceptable standard, they so far behind FIFA online that it is unreal.

Despite the importance of getting online right, I honestly dont expect any dramatic improvements with PES 2011.

i gave up on the online about a week or so after it came out.
played pes again the first time today for months
drawn 1 and won four online playing with small teams
but its like i remember a pile of shite
the creativity has gone from this game.
even in 2009 and 2008 youd face players with character to there playing style
now every cunt online plays the same in 2010
i mean fuck my grans got better reactions and agility than these fork lift trucks im controlling round the pitch
and 50/50's are probably the worst in any pes game

Well it's the same old story with online play on PES really isn't it. Constantly people feel the need to play as the best teams, call me old fashioned but I like to play as a team I support. They should encourage people to play as lesser teams somehow.

Also the online menu is far too confusing for my liking, there's too many options. They should deffinately simplify it.

But the main issue I have with the game is the amount of lag I experince when playing online. The majority of the time my players seem to be suffering from a delayed reaction, or better yet; a complete case of memory loss as they don't do what I tell them to do but instead feel the need to slowly run in to the opposition. It feels like I'm controlling a team of pensioners.

However, on the rare occasion where I find a player with the grace to NOT choose the best team in the game, and an even rarer of an occasion where the game doesn't lag; it's really enjoyable.

But despite this, I think I may be on the verge of convertiong to FIFA... :huh:

I found it simply unplayable, I thought it was a joke when I played it and found the players wouldnt respond at all to when pressing the commands your basically handicapped by the slow reaction times last year it wasnt so bad dont know what happened this time round.

I tought I was the only one with Online Lag. I hope the new 2011 has some kind of connectivity warning before an online game starts. Thats why I just dont play online but with live people. we get together on weekends and beat the heck of each other.. lol. Anyone in queens, new york is welcome to join us...
