I'm fairly new to PES 2012, this is my first PES since 2008 and I really love the game offline but online it's so frustrating.

I don't know if it's the tactics people are using but every time I get the ball they the opposition are on me straight away and which ever way I turn they turn the same way too and I just can't get away from them. But when I'm defending no matter what I try I can't replicate what it is that they are doing.

Also it's like I'm not lagging, the screen isn't bouncing about like previous PES I have played online but the game seems so slow. I try to control the ball and it will bounce off me or turn the wrong way, it just seems unresponsive.

I was thinking maybe it's because I always seem to be playing people from far away, it's like there isn't any people from the UK on there it's always Brazil, Mexico, Spain or Italy.

Yeh i find when playing far away players, it becomes unresponsive or LAG. Use a defensive midfielder in front of your back four to break up play (try to get one with anchor man card or enforcer). Other players are probably using the 2nd man press button alot against you, so let of your sprint and pass the ball about looking for openings. Just be patient and dont force it. Also check what area of the pitch you player covers, which comes up light green when you click on them in formation.

Yeah I figured they were using that but it's weird because when I use the second man press they still go past him but when they do it he sticks to me like glue.

I thought they must be doing something in the tactics with the press or something.

That must be what it is when I play Brazilian's etc, it just seems really unresponsive and players do weird things. I just click quick match though so I might be better off going into the lobby's?
