Not much text in your appreciation thread.

I have to say that I am impressed so far, although I haven't properly touched on the single player campaign yet so can't comment on that but the multiplayer is great fun. The graphics are superb too. Unfortunately, I don't think anyone on here other than me and you has got this, Sminky. One of the main reasons I didn't get 1 or 2 was because I didn't know anyone who had them and couldn't be arsed playing with random people all the time and having no-one to discuss the game with.

Yeah, I've been watching Ten O'clock live from last night so wanted to wait for that to finish before I could concentrate on posting my bit.

I'm very impressed with the game, I, as I knew I would, have struggled on some of the maps. I've done as I did on Killzone 2 focused on one map so far to hone my skills. At one point earlier it was just me holding off the ISA from completing one part of the mission, I gunned them down for a good while until I was finally killed - no thanks to receiving sod all assistance from my team mates! Some of the games I've jumped in to the ability range has really varied, either blindingly amazing or utter shite.

Ali is planning on buying this next week with his birthday cash so I'm sure he'll post on this thread.

I'm guessing I was in the "utter shite" range of ability. I'm guessing Ash is someone you know outside of these forums, right?

Nah, you didn't do too bad mate and to be fair none of us were exactly pulling up trees!

Yeah, Ash is a work mate. When he finds his feet on Killzone3 he'll be outscoring most of us. He has a ridiculously high kill to death ratio on COD MW2.

First game I actually did alright and thought "Hey, I might actually be good at this game!" and even got a better k/d ratio than you I think. Second game I was looking at a 0-6-0 k/d/a and that's when I realised that it wasn't going to go as smoothly as I had anticipated. I worked wonders with that repair drill though. Repairing the shit out of loads of broken machines even though I didn't have a clue what they were.

I got absolutely thrashed in one of my first games but ended my last game with you guys on 18 kills to 10 deaths. Its a slow improvement but the games are quite short so racking up massive differentials isn't going to happen. I'm going to build up the points to get the Sniper Rifle and unlock the full Sniper Cloak. The Helghan rifle so far is the best gun I've used. I may jump onto Killzone3 now quickly just before hitting the sack.

Just listening to the official soundtrack to Killzone 3 by Joris De Man (Came as free DLC with the Special Edition) ... a great score, quality you'd expect from a blockbuster movie and not a video game. So far my favourite track is

"And Ever we fight on"

Just thought it would be nice to crow about my stats so far :D

Kills 523
Deaths 256
Kill ratio 2.04

I think I've just about got the hang of it now

I think there is a good reason why I haven't posted my Killzone stats yet...Although I was pleased that I managed to take you out first, even if you did get me a few times after that. I was playing as a field medic all night so I ended up in the thick of the action all the time, reviving people, sacrificing myself in the process.

Yes I guessed you may have been pleased killing me to start with - I think I repaid the favour in kind about 4 times though after that :D

Can't remember my exact stats now but my Kill ratio is 2.12 - some of the games are starting to get quite tough at times because alot of people have unlocked quite a bit now. I've unlocked everything for the Marksman, the skill where you can have a primary weapon as a secondary weapon is bloody cool. Running around with a rifle and sniper rifle makes ranged killing even more brutal!

I managed to unlock a medi-droid thing but I've no idea what the hell it does other than give away my positions by flying around above my head all the time.

They are quite amusing, giant robotic flies, don't they help regenerate health?

It's an awesome game, about halfway through co-op at the minute, trying to make it last as long as possible.

Sminky, when a player appears to be on your team but it turns out they're not, is that the infiltrator class? It confuses the shit out of me and leads me to shooting at my own team just in case they are really the opposition.
