Overpowered Juventus?

Hello everybody..

Basically to get down to the point, I play as A.C. Milan (My favourite team  ) in ML.

Season is great, 4 wins and 1 tie thus far and I get a match scheduled against Juventus.. I haven't won against them in 10+ tries.

I know I can't win every match but here's what I think is going wrong:

1- Overpowered through balls (Or maybe my defense is horrible)

2- Scripted through balls, my players seem to follow along the through ball even if I want to them to go and take it midways.

3-Sometimes my players have no intention of running towards Juventus' side even though they see me running towards it myself

Sometimes I manage to get out of the first 60 or less minutes without conceding *or scoring a goal for that matter*

so I just want to know if I'm doing something wrong or my team is just too weak to compete against Juventus (I haven't changed any player from the squad)

I have used marking players, offside trap and yet it all fails.

My team spirit is over 94 most of the time.

I'd appreciate any help. :)

If allegri is still the coach of Juventus, they will have 99 TS. Teams withh 99 TS are a pain in the ass to beat early on. That coupled with the fact that Juventus have Aggresive FrontLinePressure makes it even more difficult. Play the match in Coach Mode once to see what the result is...

Yep, they have Allegri as their manager but their TS is 96
This is what Allegri is using. I'm going to play as a coach and see how it goes.

EDIT: I won 1-0 (barely).. Not really happy about it. They were better in every way but it takes one shot to score and that's what we did. Haha

I signed Pedro from Barcelona and my scout brought me Di Maria.. I don't know if it's too early for him.

Does the game have the two teams listed as significant rivals? If so, I find those matches become much more difficult for the human player, as the AI goes all out to clatter you. Alternatively, it could be a case of "Rock, paper, scissors" with regard to team set ups. ie It could just be that their style of football does well against your personal playing style or the style your team is set up for.

According to this post we are rivals in PES '16 against Inter, Atalanta, Hellas Verona.

But they definitely play different than the others, I won 3-1 against Udinese just now and 4-0 against some minor team in the Europa League so maybe it's because of their stats and the fact that Pirlo, Vidal and Tevez haven't left. (I haven't updated the transfers).

As for play-style I notice that I'm more of fox-in-box player as a number of my goals are made by small through balls close to the penalty box.. I haven't really scored much outside of it.

I think you are experiencing derby match scripting. I play with Liverpool and I absolutely struggle against Man United during home and away league matches. I only managed to beat them for the first time in master league in the second season during a cup semifinal penalty shootout.

For reference, I trounce the likes of Barcelona 4-0 during champions league matches.

The symptoms of scripting (just some examples I recall):
1) Exceptional shooting accuracy. E.g. Javi Hernandez (who is still at Man Utd) scores against me through long range half volley finishes from outside the box.

2) All random" 50/50 ball battles in midfield always tumble in favour of the AI. E.g. I execute an excellent tackle but the ball always bounces to an AI player.

3) Most "random" ball physics calculations end up in the AI's favour.

4) AI has extremely good dribbling ability. Michael Carrick dribbles like Messi and is able to pull off wonky glitchy looking dribbling animations that makes it hard to defend against because it allows thevAI to turn on a dime!

I definitely noticed those in my matches against Juventus.. I guess the only way to beat them is by getting a good squad (85+ majority) and having a good tactical mentality.

The only solution I have found is to use long ball through passes.

Whenever I play my two bogey teams (Man Utd and Chelsea), I set up my team compact and defensive with low defensive line. I also put my two wingers in advanced positions and pump lofted through balls to hit them on the counter. Very effective against Chelsea. But it doesn't work that well against Man Utd because the scripting is very strong. Somehow my players become idiots and don't time their runs well.

I have tried that but not many times, maybe because I thought it was me just being bad :crymore:
I'll see how it goes in the away round since I've gotten better players.. Who knows maybe I'd win.
