I am pleased with what I have seen so far.

Straight away my attempt to buy David Bentley who was valued at little over £500,000 showed the tweak in transfer value when my scout came back with an agreed offer of £7,000,000! This seemed to be a common theme with me paying £3.2m for Andy Carroll well over valuation.

Gameplay wise - this my be a coincidence but my wingers appear to be making forward runs, whether this is a tweak or change in my tactics i don't know but even the full backs are flying forward!

I am not sure on the shooting yet...I haven't had many opportunities. I did however get one chance - it fell to Carroll on the edge of the box defenders charged at him and he skied it about a mile wide! He even had a direct route through to goal!

Still very early days but I have enjoyed my first few games with the patch.

Your thoughts below please!

I cant see an improvment.

I think shooting is worse! reaction to shoot takes longer! Cant even get a good shot at goal.

select player is slightly better but players still run over the ball when they are making a run and u wanna pass to them.

all in all not happy.

Was the transfers based on a pre-patch 1.02 save file or did you have to start the ML again for the changes to show?

Luckily I already have Bentley and Carroll :)

Oh and how did the cursor changing go?

Guys, ive just thought of a potential issue, if the transfer fees for players have increased, but the budget and money you get for winning games stays the same? Arent we gonna have an issue where after buying a few players your team is gonna be broke and have no money?

i posted this in the other thread

Player switching is fine I think, I have had a couple of balls in to the box where they have taken evil deflections bounced loose, quick tap of the switch button and player has been over it like a rash!

My Master League based on a new file - not to sure whether the changes would take effect on an old one or not!

In this thread at wenb it has been confirmed existing ML saves will work with the new transfer values, you have to make a bid to see the changes.

http://kitanamedia.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3870&p=189854#p189854

Just about to test the patch myself, the guy in the linked thread said he made a bid for bale and the price he got was much more than what he received last night.

Mate, i was reading wenb, the base prices for players arent huge, its when you make an offer, guy made an offer for C.Ronaldo, he says Real asked for 85 million.

Cursor switching isnt TOTALLY fixed imo, but we shall see.

One change ive noticed, Substitutes, when you make a sub, i think you get the cut screen animation of the player going off alot more than before. lol.

First things I have noticed...

- first time manual pass works beautifully
- Manual player switch is still poor
- Semi assist player switch is improved and my pes rage will chill out now, should of been in retail copy but well done for konami for looking at this, although I think its a bit of an insult if you can't get online at the moment.
- Shooting feels more solid, I like the original shooting and feel it has been improved although I need more time with it, seems like you can pick your angle slightly better and has a bit more weight.
- Great news regarding master league, thank fuck we dont have to start again.
- The game feels smoother

So can you please confirm one thing for me please

The transfer section of this update WILL effect pre patch 1.02 saved ML games.

(if yes, I hope they might start offering me more money for Henry JR!)

Player names above CPU heads

I've downloaded the new patch & I thought it was supposed to allow you to turn the player names off above CPU players heads, does anybody know how?

So that answers anyone's concerns about running out of money.

Player may cost more
But they also sell for more

It doesnt, What if you dont want to sell players? What if you have a smaller squad and you just want to buy players?

You are spending more money to buy players........but the budget and amount of money you get per home game stays the same, so i think that means you end up losing more money than before, every time you buy a player

No?

You have hoarding issues :)

No team in the world just 'buys' players, you deserve to go bust with that attitude. :w00t

Buy C.Ronaldo 12.25, sell for 80 mil, thus being able to spend money on buying more than one player back. It's simple economics fella.

Buying just makes you skint:no:

Buying and selling is part and parcel of any good business model. Buying just makes you skint:no:

Dude you are not answering the question.

If you do a real madrid and buy 4/5 20 million pound players, even with madrid's money, how the fuck are you going to be able to continue in master league without having to sell?

Thats ridiculous, you will be in position where you will HAVE TO SELL WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT to survive lmao.

Thats not right, unless you get a big budget at the end of the season to cover off the losses.

When shooting do the players still tend to lean back, getting under the ball rather over the ball?

Simple answer: Don't.

Be sensible. Why should I be able to sign 5 20Mil players on stupid wages, win nothing and expect to be able to still pay them?

If you look at the history of said club, they almost went bankrupt using that EXACT philosophy of buying 'Galiticos' at stupid money and not recouporating their costs. If I recall, they were bailed out by the goverment

And you may say it's ridiculous to have to sell to survive, but again, you clearly are not looking at the position most clubs in the EPL and around the world are. Most clubs don't like selling their star man, but as a business, if you are offered 50mil for a player which cost you 5mil, thus allowing you to improve your squad overall, I can guarantee your chairman would be signing those papers.

EVERY player has a price. Name me one that doesn't

Football is a business. Don't like it? - Play League Mode, then you don't have these issues.

You qualify for Europe, then it's all good. You get relegated, your squad gets dismantled.

Fucking Hell, listen, the finances were FINE before the patch, so if there is an issue here, its not konami trying to make the game realistic LMAO, its a fucking clear cut miscalculation.

Im open to clear evidence to disprove this theory, and i want to be wrong, but so far im not seeing it.

Real Madrid's budget is about 198 mil.

That goes down to 98mil after wages etc.

Now before, you could sign a bunch of players 4/5 really good ones and have at least 60 mil left to start the season.

But here my question, if cost of signing players has gone up by huge amounts.

If you wanted to buy 4/5 players that could cost you about 60 mil lets say...

Therefore that would mean you have 38 million left for the rest of the season.

Even if you add on 50 million for winning home games etc.

Next season you have about 88 million.

Now my question is this, next season, do you get another 100 million on top of what you had from last season? because that 88 million might not be enough to pay next season's wages?

Aka, your fucked financially now, whereas before the patch, you were not.

Again, I hope I am wrong.
