I’m aware of how long it takes.....less time than it does to make all the kits and less time than it does make sure that Messi has his latest hairstyle and boots.
I just wish the old school PES editors were still about, the ones you could depend on to get the basics done first such as player names and removing duplicates, then less significant cosmetic stuff like kits, boots, hairstyles, later.
I can’t start a ML whilst there are two Gareth Bale’s in the game.
The time for changing real names & remove duplicates is not really less than doing those stuffs.
The game has been changed since PES 2017. The way of sharing the edit data is totally different. On PS3, you can simply copy the edit data through the PS3 system UI which can be done within a minute. But on PS4 it takes 2 to 3 hours to export all edit data. The fake players is also chaning its fake name each edition.
Fixing player names and duplicates is also NOT IDEAL on Day 1, when the live update is not ready. If someone still can fix all duplicated players on Day 1, it may be a one with low-quality. Live Update may add more duplicates and ruin the whole option file.
However, the game will not have duplicate players in ML if you start a new games (AFAIK since PES 2016). Each player has a numerical identifier (technically named "player ID"). If the duplicated players is in the national team but not in a club, the player will not be brought into the ML/BAL.
I am going to change the player name and remove duplicates in the next version anyway.
