hi all! :):D
This is my first post in this thread:D:). Recently, my cousin gave me his P.E.S 08. But after the installation and playing the game, it says I can not play the game coz my vga did not meet the minimum req of 64 mb. I just click ignore and played the game. First thing I notice, the reolution is really bad. I go to resolution setings but the resolution available is below 800x600.
I install the 1.2 Patch and also add 1600x resolution I downloaded on this forum. But sadly nothing happen.
My question is how can I play 1900X1200 res or maybe 1600X1200.
This is my Specs:
OS: Vista 64 bit
Mobo: Asus Commando
CPU: E6750 core 2 duo
RAM: 4gb 800mhz
VGA: XFX 9800 gx2

What's worse is that I now expect it to happen in PES 2009 as well.

A pes 2008 player told me in a forum that he had experienced a probem like that and finally found the problem was directx. According to him, installing the directx from pes 2008 dvd is the solution. He said that before doing this he had been playing game for a while but after some time the game went crazy and too fast. This is exactly the same problem with me, isn't it? I will try that out when I am home after work today, but I wonder sth about this solution. I have installed the latest version of directx (directx end user runtime, august) from microsoft's internet site. It is impossible to uninstall directx as you know. So installing the former version is quite possible to be futile. What is your opinion don sweey?

We're so lost its worth trying but I'm sure it'll refuse to install, stating you have a later version already installed. I also find it a bit strange because you'd expect more people to have had the issue. I never install DirectX from game DVDs, I always download the latest version which, in these days of so few DX updates, is pretty easy to manage.

Saving Problems

Hey,

I got PES 2008 for PC (Windows 7) the other day and while the game seems to run fine i'm having problems saving data. For instance when I make a player transfer or edit stats on a player and then press save, when I exit the game and go back into it again it hasn't saved and the settings have returned to default.

Is there any way of creating an option file like you could on the playstation versions so that settings and player edit can be saved??

cannot locate option file

i can find edit and ML file in the save folder but not the option file. i have been playing my league for 30 over seasons and there is nothing unlocked in my track records at all. becos once i restart my PES, everything is gone. i think the reason is due to the absense of option file in the save folder which idk why. i have reinstalled this game multiple times alr.

oh ya. please dont ask me to check the first post because there is no solution there to my problem. i have read the whole thread already. the first post only tells us where the files are located. As for me, i know where they are located. All the files are there except for the option file. i have not done anything to it. i did not delete it or whatsoever and its just not there for some reason.
