Pes 14 opinion thus far

I think leaving the Stadium Editor out of PES 2014 is probably one of the most lamest excuses ever by Konami as that should of had nothing to do with the Licensing what so ever.

Feels that they tried to rush this game early to try and get a head start on FIFA it seems, but it seems to have backfired as they usually always released PES mid or late October with a more finished version of the game.

I am liking the game a lot but it does needs lots of fixes for the Online and I am playing the PS3 version and the lag can be annoying when ready together with load times, although I haven't installed the game does that make a difference??

You can download nvidia inspector which is a light application that has a frame limiter in it. if your monitors refresh rate is 60hz then limiting it to 60fps should make a difference, they say if you limit 1 or 2 frames less though you get better performance so for instance 58 or 59fps. Good luck.

Alright, so I tried the Nvidia Inspector tool and it worked pretty good I must say!

I turned V-sync off and locked frame rate to 75 fps, that gave me a pretty pleasant, zippy, gaming experience while there was little (but some) flicker and my laptop didn't overheat (although the fans were running on high), so until Konami fixes this issue through a patch or something I'm sticking with this nifty tool...and I guess some further tweaking can be done.

So if you're running the game on PC....do try this, it really makes a huge difference! For me it did at least.

Does anyone know how to change players say "physical strength" when i go to player edit menu?
I can change most abilites but some of the abilities are fixed and I don;t know how to access them ...

myzer i myself do not care about the aesthetics of the games graphics be it faces or stadiums, i only care about the gameplay and its playability with regards to making me come back for more, and i dont understand how you can say the gameplay in pes2014 is better than that of pes2013!!! the control has gone and as for controlling off the ball team mates, that too is ridiculous to achieve, that along with the game reacting with 2/3 seconds delay makes pes2014 one big chore to play whereas pes2013 is a pleasure to play, cos it gives you control of not only the player but also the team and it also makes you come back for more.

p.s your comments regarding spanish football are as ridiculous as your views on pes2014.

Although I am being serious when I say that I prefer English football to any other football... But even football as a whole isn't as good as it was in the 80's/90's, too much money not enough commitment.

I have my views of the game, you have yours... To be honest there is no delay when I play... The only delay was shooting, however I have figured that out now and the game plays fine. Passing is fine, the through balls are nerfed but I like that as before I could ping a ball from the halfway line and almost always score on PES2013... Now I cannot do that, which is a good thing.

Off the ball team mates is fine, however I do wish they just used Fifa's way of doing it with a single button press, rather than button press and stick movement.

2014 is far from a chore to play at all, each game is more satisfying to win, it is more difficult to break down the opposition team.

But my opinions are different to yours.

I am playing on PC mate. The demo of the PS3 version was awful plus I prefer to add mods and stuff to my game so thought that was the best option.

Only have a mediocre set up also, even during the specification test it says my Video card is bad (460GTX) but I still play on High settings and have no framerate issues other than the entrance scene.

Just had a beautiful match with AC MILAN.

Had to record this one particular play and show you guys how rewarding and spectacular this game can be.



I passed the ball into space to Balotelli using advanced through ball pass ( holding L1 of course to carry it in the air ) then I immediately used super cancel ( using Balotelli) to intercept the ball , otherwise it surely would of gone to the CPU , and lastly I put it away using the ground shot feature, which is the first time I used it EVER in this game and it worked the first time ( Square, then Triangle just before he kicks ) and this is the outcome .

This is why I enjoy this game so much, because of moments like these. Everything that happened here was under my control. From the first first pass to the interception to the goal.

This was offline, playing against the CPU ( professional difficulty )

As far as the defender goes, there is no way he would out strength balotelli in that given moment, I was using right stick as well to keep him off me, notice the hand of Balotelli gently pushing the defender back once. The momentum was in his favor and hence the goal

This is why I prefer the new game, it is so much more satisfying pulling these kinds of things off than older games in the series.

myzer2005 its not the 1st time i have read one of your posts were you are insulting people, and you need to clarify when your messages have jokes in them cos tbh your just not funny. and if you dont know that your come across in a belittling mannor towards others when communicating on here well it must just be that its just in your nature to do this, online anyway, maybe like i said before, the fact that an online forum is so anonymous it makes you feel more cocky than you would be if it were chatting face to face round a table. that said its probably best to steer this conversation back to the main focus being football and pes in particular, and having tried pes2014 on ps3 again today i can confirm that pes2013 is still far superior to pes2014 still, a bit like the way i am far superior to myzer2005 (joke)...
