after running the 2 applications(which I think is in turkish, so i hope I clicked on the right icons, it was mostly "yleri" and "bablat") there is no change to the music in the game

I did not have kitserver installed so i downloaded kitserver7.1, extracted it and put it in C:program files/KONAMI/Pro Evolution Soccer 2008. Then I installed it and it says it is installed properly for game executable(pes2008.exe) and settings executable(settings.exe). I then ran the 2 music packs but the music is still the same as the original game.

All the songs and song titles are in the game, looks and sounds great, I was really starting to lose interest in the original songs of the game, so this is great. Nice selection of songs too(very happy with the rage track).

I am having great problems getting this to work. Here is what i've done:

1. I downloaded part 1, part 2 and the patch.

2. I extracted parts 1 and 2 so there is an exe on my desktop.

3. I installed the exe into C:\Program Files\KONAMI\Pro Evolution Soccer 2008\kitserver/img

4. I then installed the patch into C:\Program Files\KONAMI\Pro Evolution Soccer 2008\kitserver

5. I loaded the game and it didn't work. Then I updated my kitserver with the link you posted UtkUguR. Still didn't work.

6. I uninstalled the music pack, removed PES.exe from my kitserver file.

7. I enabled PES.exe in my kitserver file and reinstalled the music pack and patch.

8. I see the music names appear in the corner but the normal game music is playing.

HELP! :(

what happened to me was the .adx(music files) ended up in
C:program files\konami\pro evolution soccer 2008\kitserver\img
and in that file there should be a folder called cs.img. Once I copied all the .adx files into that folder it worked.

I am very confused by what you said. A folder called cs.img? why would a folder have an image extension? a file called img??? this file has no extension?

EDIT: I've fixed it now but had to use instructions not given in this thread. I used AFS Explorer to import the files into CS.img. This is confusing because why use kitserver in the first place?

sorry, my computer terminology is not the best. glad you got it working. in case you are interested you can convert .wav files to .adx files using a program called adxencd and then import them into cs.img using afs explorer. This way you can have any songs you like in the game. Of course you might have to convert mp3's to .wav first because adxencd only converts from .wav. There is a tutorial on youtube on how to use adxencd, it has to be done through DOS from the command prompt. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oupfzxGiTh0

Thanks :) I would like to know why AFS isn't mentioned in the installation instructions. UtkUguR why leave such a crucial step out?
