We have played PES 2009 for over ten hours and tell you everything we have learned.
At last year's PES-result of the media I talked with some överförfriskade European Konami-employees. They expressed a frustration that Konami in Japan do not really understand what is important in Europe and that they are desperately trying to get more influence. In 2008, they began to get some ideas as a licensed menylåt for example. In 2009, there is one detail that says a lot about PES series. There are now far more licensed music, but instead to print låtnamn and artist who would be the natural order, they continue with their system of writing låtnamn and genre (rock, techno, etc.). As if it would be interesting. The same strange think, unfortunately, be found in a lot of PES 2009. Improvements, but without having a feel for how it will be best for us players.

Repairs: backlinjen
Among the worst with PES 2008 was that the defenders are all too often were completely absent and cycled in their races which could lead to the opponents got free passage to a målchans. It is much better this year. This is despite the fact that Seabass refused to recognize the problem. Medspelarna also significantly better races this year and to keep in L1 before suits often to suit takes a fine djupledslöpning that can hit the ball.
It is also a bit more unusual for goalkeepers making great blunders and, above all, it is much better screen than in last year's version, which was almost ospelbar.

Improvements: bollfysiken
The biggest improvement is that otherwise the ball is more alive. As the players stretching more after balls, then it will be more half-hearted bollberöringar. Someone may be a toe in a fit and the ball is "free" on the plan. An attempt to stand in the way of a ball instead to become a fretful tunnel. Players try, but fail completely to reach a ball. Scotland bounce on players in the road and in the duel and overcrowded areas can be a little anything happen. It may, because of this, sometimes become even more messy in tight situations in the penalty area and it will probably take a long time before it learnt that it can be dangerous to have too many people in the same area.
On the whole becomes more balls "resolve". The PES 2008 to PS3/360 was the ball more often pegged to a player. It is a delicate balance. We do not want the ball to be an entirely his own property as in Sensible Soccer, but Konami got to the really good in PES 2008 for PS2. Unfortunately, it is not quite as free and successful in PES 2009, but it is better than the last to PS3/360.

New: spelarkontroll
An interesting new feature is that you can now choose to simply replace players when you press the L1. In this setting change, therefore, we do not automatically when you get the ball. This means that you can let the computer games to play around the ball before you become one of them to turn away a ball to someone you take a running with. Not simply to get used to, but there is clearly a feature with it.
Another new feature is that you can decide which players you want to check on the plan. For example, an attacker, a sidomittfältare and the defensive midfield. Then, when you change players with L1 switch only between these players. In this way, you and up to six friends (in the PS3 version) split the team between you if you want.
In the case of devices are made a part of such automatic now, only you are moving with the technical players. Ronaldo may, for example, make a överstegsfint while changing direction. Otherwise, control their corpses.

Expect much more of them here tillkrånglade situations in the plan.

Better, but not enough?
It is one of the most permanent impression I get, this is better than last year, but not as good as PES 2008 for PS2. There Konami for a balance between a free ball and a stake in the plane completely due to the player. In the versions to 360 and PS3, it happens too often that it is stupid player on the plan or solid målvaktstavlor causing insläppta goals.
The stupid passing game remain and may even have increased. Either this is the direction hypersensitive or so Konami has put in too much random at passing game because they can still go a little, in any case. Totally not in any situation, but too often.

Become a Legend: the basics
Konami is trying this year to deal EA's Be A Pro outright. Make a player who mittfältare or attacker. Then choose a league or create your own with the teams you want. Now you're always the same players and may only play a Test. You see everything from a slightly inzoomad camera following your player and it comes naturally to do so well away from you as possible. To become more involved in the game, you can beg pass with 2 quick press R2 (or if you change the configuration). But unlike in Be A Pro does not fit players immediately. Instead, turn the passing game a little when they feel like it, which could lead to the state already are gone when you get the ball. Again Konami shows that they ignore completely that it should be easily accessible.

Become a Legend: a larger club
After the Test, you get bids from various law and must choose one of them. The wacky is that you end up in a storklubb at once, and is easily worse than any in startelvan. I choose to play for Everton (Merseyside Blue) and may play an internal träningsmatch against the others in the team. There is no further even if I take a great responsibility. Turns out some key passing game and miss the two positions I create. But I may still 7.5 in the rating which is best in my team. To make a long story short, so I had after about 20 matches (that is, around 1800 minutes) had to jump in about half and rarely more than fifteen minutes per game (total playing time is approximately 150 minutes of 1800 minutes). The rest of the time, I have had to watch the matches. One can certainly increase the tempo of the matches to four times as fast, but it is still about five minutes per game.

The game plan for improved by smarter running, and even better bollfysik.

Become a Legend: failed joke?
The sad thing is that when I get to play I get is almost always better than matchbetyg my fellow players and I do both goals and assists. After a bunch of games is the second in the team almost completely drained of energy and their formpilar shows straight downhill. I may not start the match anyway.
It would have been okay if I had developed my players, but after 20 games, he has not yet received a single improved property. The fact is that he has not even had a half step in any capacity.
Hopefully, Konami forgot to tell that this is an unfinished game to be fixed before release. Otherwise, this is nothing more than a failed joke.

Master League: as usual
We Master League-fantaster has by now become accustomed to the Konami ignore us every year. Karriärläget has hardly evolved over the past five years and it is the same thing this year. The only thing that changed is that the negotiations now taking place in two stages, first with the club, then with the player. First, therefore, a transfer fee with the club and then pay and contract negotiations.
Otherwise, nothing has happened and it is as frustrating as usual.

The graphics and sound: better
Graphic has been some improvement. The players look a little better, the audience may be a little more alive, bilduppdateringen is clearly improved, many new animations have been added, the menus have at least one design of this year and facial expressions are more alive. Even sound has, in addition to some songs that are at least okay also added more jingles in stadiums (although they often become repetitive after a while).

If our unfinished code is significant for the game has a lot of licenses disappeared.

Online: confusion
Determine name, favorite team, favourite players and a signature before you go on serverjakt. It is divided into British, German and a few other variations. You can see where there are people, and how many there are. Then, go into different lobby and find players. I spent an hour trying to get up and running it, but hopefully it is simply not clear yet and Konami have forgotten to tell it.
The menus, however, I can figure out to make it possible to play two against two online (2003 told Seabass in an interview that they could fix eleven against eleven online on PS2), and so there is a Legend mode in which it seems to be able to take with her Become A Legend players and be one of four that play in the same law. Exactly how it works, we have not been able to test at present.

Editläget: same
It is possible this year as in the past to change lagnamn and go in and fine-tune the players in everything from the appearance and behavior. For example, there are 16 different shoes (no free-creation), about as many settings as last year when it comes ansiktsbehåring, hair, ansiktsmodeller and more. Faces can be done very much, but frisyrer and beard, it is still too little. To set the dribblingar and frisparkar feels extremely pointless, but the 71 different målgesterna is as fun as last year.
It is possible to import a picture with the Playstation Eye, but it does not appear to be improved from last year and we as a beard may have forgotten to include it in the player.

Licensing: fewer
The big news is that Konami seems to have lost the entire Spanish league. They are wrong lagnamn and errors costumes. In England to Liverpool and Manchester United to be confirmed, but the name is still wrong in this release. Bayern Munich has had a change against Zenit St Petersburg and in the Nordic countries have Helsingborg had to leave room for Brøndby (left there Hammarby, AIK, Rosenborg, Helsinki, IFK Gothenburg and Copenhagen). It has, in other words, is not a single licence without at least one other bottled.

Other short impression:
• Reprise can now be seen even after discharge.
• Still quite steered who has the ball.
• Only small stilt in the running.
• Still running in eight directions.
• Keeping in X and square works alarmingly good enough to take the ball from the computer.
• As in 2008, it happens a little too often that players are on a totally wrong location on the plan. A DMF up at the offensive ink, for example.
• Online Games requires Konami ID - at least in the PS3.
• Närkamper could end in more ways.
• The players still do not understand each side is.
• Players sometimes stop in more than half a second when they missed a receipt or duel.
• Must still have the check what it is for the match which will next and what applies in it.

Conclusion: almost all the way
Much improved since 2008, and except when I looked at Become A Legend, I have had a lot of fun with PES 2009. It is much better than 2008 on many of the key points, but I am still a little disappointed. This is what PES 2008 should have been. Now, I had expected me one step further. One step closer spelkänslan as PS2 version had last year, a lot of additional licenses, less rigid animations on the plan, smarter players and much more. Instead, Konami invested in a number of new game modes, which hopefully was not functioning as they would in the unfinished version I tested. That is: really good, but not the wise, I hoped for.

I have just read the Fully english review and it does sound alot better.

The only crap point he made was that in Be A Pro mode his player didnt increase in stats but:

A. He may of just been shit
B. Players dont increase in stats that quickly anyway but he only got like 15 mins a game on top of the fact he only played 20 games.

It will still be a great game and the spanish teams will be there.

I would be more than willing to give 20 bucks, but 1000 is a little out of hand for most people. That said, Who are you?? Are you for reals?
