PES 2010 Update Out Thursday?

I guess we are splitting hairs then. I'm not going to complain (or laugh) because this is progress and a definite move in the right direction. No offense, but I've had the game since just after the release, which was about a month ago. If I didn't have an option file, that means I would have just sat on the game for a whole month and that's a massive waste to me.

I think some of the resentment from people may come from people that haven't downloaded an option file because they thought it would just get reset with the next update, but now find out that won't be the case because of this patch that fixes that. If I were in your boat I guess I would be a bit frustrated also. At the same time, why/what are you waiting a bit longer for?

tbh ive probably been abit too busy playing others games, i was playing quantum of sloace online getting the 100% trophies which i got and then COD6 came out and ive just been on that since. not really in a rush to play pes yet and ive got until next october til a new pes comes out.

i only bought the game as it was going cheap at asda on launch day and have only really played around 15 games. but i can only play 1 game at a time for some reason, im strange like that.

looks like tuesday for the transfer update

Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has released details of the first free DLC content for the PLAYSTATION®3, Xbox 360 and PC-DVD versions of PES 2010.

A primer update is available to download now, and will ready the relevant hardware for the full DLC update which will be released on November 24th. The initial download will ensure that any PES 2010 Edit data the user has stored on their hardware will not be affected by future Konami DLC, while the November 24th data enhances a number of elements in the full game and also revises the club team rosters in line with those of all current transfers, all major transfers made after the game was completed will be rectified.

Furthermore, four new teams will also be added to PES 2010’s UEFA Champions League mode, with Atletico Madrid, Olympiacos, Lyon and Fiorentina all added to the competition in their official Champions League kits. Similarly, the DLC will also update the home kit of the Japanese national team, which was recently changed.

Konami is committed to releasing further updates for PES 2010 via DLC in the coming year, and is continuing to work with the PES community to see ways that the game can be improved via future content.

Im a little disappointed if I am honest. I dont want to have fake teams in the Teams B roster. Why cant they release new teams or even teams with real players and fake names, like Prem teams.

I pray it's not a repeat of last year for us NA folks. Last time around they skipped the summer transfers update completely and didn't give us an update til February.

Looking at the football shirt websites all of the Adidas and Nike teams are getting new strips for the world cup. So Konami will hopefully release a patch changing these closer to the time....Spain, Germany, South Africa, Greece, Russia....

I have a question: why do people look forward to/rely on KONAMI updates for teams, stats, appearances,etc...?? Why not just download an option file that contains more than what a KONAMI update would anyway?

For those of you that have the US version: I would buy the uk version. It works on a US console and you can apply much better option files and don't get treated second class if dlc is important to you. That's what I did after being frustrated the last couple of years with the US version.

ive got a NA version with Mrgametights file, his file though just a base, is awfully good, but with a EU version how would i get the DLC in NA?

You can't use option file stats online. I think you'll get better connections online as well instead of constantly connecting to oversea users. We're getting update same time as UK now so it looks like they stopped ignoring us. I also don't care for option files. Always edit all the stuff myself. That's why I don't mind buying NA version.

Your PS3 will recognize any DLC for the UK version and automatically prompt you to download it. It doesn't matter where you are located in the world, if a patch becomes available, you will get it.
