I know I'm now in love with MLO but seriously I'd recommend it to anyone still playing ML offline and getting miffed with it. There are some response issues with shite players (which causes me to blow a gasket - I take these things too seriously sometimes!) but its still a million miles better than playing CPU AI.

So you played a few games found out you couldnt run through the defense and that you had to actually think about where you pass the ball and how you defend. PES11 is clearly superior to you, not to me, and not to other people who also do not like PES11.

The d-pad, I never said you cannot use it; the mathematical problem is simple, the d-pad barely has any range of movement, therefore, you can only implement a handful of animations into the d-pad.

The d-pad cannot the what the analogue can do, and the analogue cannot do what the d-pad can do, these are completely different buttons; both PES11 and FIFA11 have followed the same old d-pad concept....

Well that's the whole point, they serve as different functions so why would they be the same?

So if its not working it's because you are broken and flawed in your thinking when it comes to tactics and general football knowledge of your players capabilities.

After you beat me, if you can, then you can talk; right now, you don't have a license to boast, you don't have any credentials until you beat me.

I think one game would be an inaccurate way of deciding whom is the better or luckiest player, at least, three games would be enough to give a more accurate statistic.

Anyways, I should have thought of this before, would have saved a lot of words.

I don't have a user name yet, but I think I will go through the procedure after Barcelona vs Villarreal, and hopefully we can play a couple of games in about one or two hours, if you are available.

If not, there is always the day after today, or the after tomorrow, etc.

My teams are either Barcelona or Boca Juniors; I want to play a balanced game, I don't like to play against significantly inferior teams.

Honestly, I am not even concerned about winning or loosing, I just want to see how you play the game.

I have played against quite a few "hardcore" gamers who always end up exploiting all the flaws, and basically, making it a boring albeit challenging experience; after all your talk, I'm expecting someone with a different playing style.

In any case, my argument is not about difficulty, it is about the concept; the game could be easier to play in terms of controls, but more difficult to play in terms of the overall value, due to the substance supporting the look and feel of the game.

For instance, Chess, quite easy to play or execute, but difficult due to the substance and structure of the game.

Super Smash Brothers, easy to play, but with never-ending replay value, due to the substance and structure of such a simple video game; some people are better with Donkey Kong than they are with Kirby, and likewise, other people are better with Kirby than they are with other characters, etc.

I have yet to experience this in a Football Sim; I don't feel any fundamental technical differences between Lio Messi and Roman Riquelme; the most notable thing are the physical attributes and the dribbling accuracy stats, but I have yet to see different type of dribbling techniques for different type of players; that is to say, different type of physics or animations, for different type of players.

To date, every player has the same dribbling technique, I can definitely feel a difference in terms of how much better a player like Lio Messi is when compared to a player with inferior attributes; however, I fail to see or feel any fundamental technical difference, in terms of how different a player like Lio Messi is when compared to someone like Xavi Hernandez or Roman Riquelme.

The left analogue stick always produces the same type of animations, for every player; you cannot use the left analogue stick for stationary dribbling.... because it is impossible to affect the direction in which you dribble with the ball, without also affecting the direction in which you run with the ball; which is a massive restriction.

This has very little or nothing to do with difficulty; the concept that determines the usage and functioning of the left analogue stick and the d-pad: determines how the game can play and how the game cannot play.

I can enjoy PES11 if I want to, but at the end of the day, it's just stuck in the past; the left analogue stick and the d-pad, function the same way it functioned in 1998.

I simply do not enjoy it as much as I enjoyed it 5 years ago, and I prefer to invest my time doing something that actually offers better and more substantial entertainment.

That's my argument. I can beat you or loose against you, yet my argument remains intact; that said, I think it is always constructive if we all play a couple of games, then we know whom is a speed-whore and who isn't.
