Wasn´t it made official 1 or 2 weeks ago that Pes would be released in most EU countries on the 30. september? and if I remember correctly pes is released on the 8 of october in the U.K. I hope this hasn´t been changed :)

Anyways I don´t have time to find the sources but I will once I finish work.

hmmm sucks for us that the rest of Europe gets it a week earlier!oh well, there will be a hack fo the PC demo to make it more than a 5 minute game which should tie me over the extra week (thats if the games any good...)

I cant see the release dates changing and being sooner(they may well be later), konami know better than to go up against fifa which will be released about a week or maybe 2 before pes.

For Call of Duty going up against Halo for instance, by all means. However, for competing sports titles, absolutely not. If you don't release it the same time as your competitor, you will only lose sales, nothing more. I can't recall the amount of times I have seen someone ask for PES when a new FIFA comes out only to be told it will come out two weeks later. From that point on, the customer is highly considering trying out FIFA. If you're reading this Konami, release it on the same day as FIFA. The people who are going to buy PES will buy PES eitherway. FIFA is the only one to lose marketshare that way with the casuals potentially jumping ship.

I remember when Konami a couple years back use to release the NA version 5 months later, and at the same time being confused on why they couldn't compete with FIFA in NA.

Jep, it's quite amusing...I thought, the UK were part of Europe?? And why is it one week later? Because of the quarantine or what?

Its out a week later to stop the eurozone importing from us. Yh they could release on the same day across all of europe but they want to catagorically make sure no1 will import from us making them spend their money in their own respective countries

Back on topic thou! I'd actually prefer KONAMI released the PES 2011 demo later to give us a more realistic demo that will represent the final code rather than something that isn't finished and is full of bugs!

I dont think it will matter the game would surly be all done by now!!,
surly it would take months to produce the final copies package them and get them ready to dispatch.

I agree with this. It is a stupid marketing stratergy to allow FIFA to come out every year 1st. I mean take me for example, FIFA came out 1st, I prefered the FIFA demo and thus only bought FIFA this year. Until recently anyways when PES PC was dirt cheap the other week and I still believe it was a waste of monies.

Hopefully this year would be good. And with a month to go i really cant see the demo not representing the full game, any bugs ect that are in it will be there for the full game. Thats my belief, im sure if there are loads of bugs or its crap 90% of you will claim its an old build....and hold out hope again.

It looks quite promising so far, but then so does FIFA.

Demos never represent finished articles, thou I bet the FIFA demo is damn near the final code! PES always feels different to the demo in previous years, probs be the same code as what people was playing at E3 or Gamescom, 70% done I think!

strange, i feel very little difference in the PES 2010 demo and the real game. and the claims before hand on demos which say this is not representative of the final product is just garbish in case you find any major bugs they have that claim to fall back on.

If the demos shit the game will be. Even if it is only 70% code, the other 30% would be things like animations ect which sure are important for the look of the game but people will know if its going to be any good by the feel of the demo. I hope its good, I wouldnt mind a return to the master league, especially since i am unsure about FIFA replacing manager mode with career mode but i wont throw my money away if the demos rubbish like last year.

when you actually think about in what world would a comapny release an inferior product for people to test before delivering the real game at a price? They play the inferior product think this sucks and dont buy the supposedley better full version. If that is the case as has been suggested, Konamis marketing team for PES shouldnt be in a job as its a redundant concept.

for me the demo was not exactly the same game but lets say a 90% of the game which is almost done. a big problem for konami to release after fifa and also that their updates takes too long the DLC must be on a monthly basis

I do agree, the DLC is very important these days.
