It is happening again
Aaaaaaaargh!! What is the point of cheating/quitting etc?? I know it games you ranking points or whatever, but I thought the whole point of playing online gaming... is the actual playing itself?! You know, a bit of competition between fellow gamers. The satisfaction in a well earned win, or giving someone a complete whooping. Ooooh, I quit and got a win.... I'm soooooooo talented. Go me :cool:

Sorry for not having the precise names of the bottom 2, but they are pretty easily recognizable by their completed deflated connection ball (when you view the users list for example). They're either division 1 or 2.

I've got a deflated ball and never have cheated . Just my crappy bt broadband cuts me off from the server every other day.

So does anyone actually KNOW how someone can cheat?

OR

Are people assuming they were cheated when their game was disconnected?

I still have yet to see any evidence of being able to cheat this way. If you can't reproduce the cheating, then you can't say for sure someone cheated.

Yeah, it sucks when you get screwed but you have no idea if it was a genuine connection problem. You ASSUME the person deliberately cheated but there's no way for you to tell if it was intentional.

Personally, I think this list is pointless. Even if Konami saw and cared about this thread, they would have to be able to re-create the problem to diagnose and fix it.

So, unless someone can actually cheat themselves, you all have no idea WTF you're talking about.

This reminds me of all the discussions people have about this game, about scripting, AI cheating, the ball physics. 99% of it is pure, baseless, circumstantial speculation. Like the guy that thought changing his settings to 480p, then telling his tv to stretch that 480p 4:3 image to 16:9 and then saying how that sped the game up. Same logic (lack of).

I've played I don't know maybe 300 games on MLO. I've had some people disconnect, maybe less than 12. Of those maybe half did when they were losing. I won 3-0 after they quit. No problem. I admit there might be glitches of course, but to hear you guys all talk about some mass conspiracy and some secret way of cheating is kind of silly.

Please reconsider after having played around 1000. For the note, I have played over 2500 online matches on PES 2008, 1000 on PES 2009, 2500 on PES 2010, and roughly 900 on PES 2011.

I understand how silly this might sound to you, but try to remember how silly people sounded when they first talked about global warming, or evolution.

I do not pretend that online cheating is the biggest problem in the world, it only affects a minority of people, those who really enjoy playing online against human opponents, trying to improve their skills and celebrate a good fair match.

And here we are.

I don't know how to cheat and to be perfectly honest I'm not going to go out of my way trying to find out how to reproduce the cheating. I would also prefer if the method to cheat (I can guarantee you there are several ways) wasn't splashed out over the forums because then it starts a snowball effect with some 'honest' people just trying it out a couple of times and others adopting the style like the current cheaters.



The reason we know its cheating (and not just assume it is like you say) is because it happens so frequently and always in favor of certain individuals. Let me explain.

The biggest cheats are in the tournaments. You will see from time to time people quitting during qualifying matches to preserve their streak (if they win 3 games in a row then they're always near the top of the qualifying ranking). Then in the knockout rounds they will have a very coincidental connection problem and because the way Konami scripted this the match is always awarded to the player who finished higher in qualifying.
Now, if this were to happen very rarely it wouldn't be such an issue, but if you put some effort in to spot these cheaters you'll see how lame it is. They will have passed through the last 16, quarter finals, semi finals and even sometimes the final itself with a 0-0 all because they disconnect and are awarded the win. Thats why they try to be 1st in qualifying because then they can cheat against every other player. If they finish 16th for example, then the cheat wouldn't work and they have to actually play to earn their win.


As I mentioned earlier, you can easily recognize these guys by their completely deflated connection ball. This indicates they don't complete matches on a frequent basis. Some will genuinely have connection problems but in general it identifies a cheater. If you check their records they will also usually have a ridiculous amount of tournaments won.



To summarize: if you think cheating doesn't exist in PES 2011 then you are too ignorant to be on this forum. I really hope Konami take measures as it does negatively affect the game experience when you know beforehand your opponent is going to disconnect in a matter of minutes and be awarded the win.

This is the type of mentality of the majority pc players.

i said ill report him if he cheats:erm: after being cheat quitted on 5 times in a row it was becoming a joke,still had a 8 match winning streak going though


he quit on 60 minutes .

I can confirm buerge on pc is a cheater. I just played against him, and disconnected making me lose by default when actually i was leading.
