In terms of gameplay...For those who played the game, is PES 2014:

After playing the demo and asking my friends, I would go for the worst version:rolleyes:, even so I'd like to listen to some opinions

gonna take some getting to grips with that's for sure, AI seems a bit strange at the moment, some dodgy framerate issues, especially during replays need addressing, the removal of stadium editor seems a step backwards, as with most pes releases it takes a month to get the best out of the game so will keep at it, saying that i've not got rid of my pes 2013 just in case.

PES 14 is WAAAAY better if you ask me, but the commentators... Why do they say the name of my player when I defend and not the AI that has the ball?...

For me everything is just better, more realistic and much better graphic. Than I mean the movements, goalkeepers, tackles(how they fall and all if you understand...) you finally cant tackle a player that was off ball and get a way with it and all.. It's hard for me to explain really what I mean since i'm not that good in English...

I only played the demo but I understand what you're saying. It is better (the demo) in every fascet of the game, from passing, shooting, tackling etc...and the graphics are much better as is the atmosphere and commentators (spanish) from what I hear online. The only issue I have is frame rate and slowdowns, the rest is fine. If they could sort those issued with a patch I would be a happy camper.

Just given it a good go. But wish I hadn't traded up 13 tbh.
It's good, no doubt about that, but for me it has issues. And here's what I don't like.

Only one camera angle in online games, horrible frame rate, too much slipping tripping and spinning about of the players, game slows down in the second half unbearably. Pitch feels strangely small at times.
Passing can be hit and miss. Defences can go awol. Front end is pretty hideous.
When it's good it's very good, but personally I think it still needs work.

Grass is awful, to name something not right at all with pes2014
Night lightening is still crap, day games are much better.

IMO, PES2014 needed some more time in development, plus 2 demos for the public to gather the community impressions, they rushed it out ...

Well I love PES to death, and this game is very good, but ....

There was only 1 thing that could be a deal breaker for me and Konami executed it perfectly for me. I play on-line games a lot and that there is 1 fixed camera angle in the game is a deal breaker for me.

Konami screwed up big time, how can they expect 1 camera angle to be enough ...

Do u guys think there is a chance they add other camera angles later on as a patch r I should give up with on-line play for PE2104 :crymore:

Pes 2013 was horrible for me. The KI not working in now way, the Goalkeeper are just stupid and the game not working well together with the gamepad. For this reason it can just become better.
My first impression from pes 2014,that the game menu look's like from a beta game. The Grafik of the menu are old scool, like amiga games. Less menu contexts. The good ist, the menu works speedy. But in the end not come together with a game the have a new graphic engine. In the beginning are e classic opera singer the killing my nerv. Whats a f*** . Whats have pes to do with opera?
Also the inside game menu is the same procedure like every year james ;). Nothing new.
Inside the game looks nice. Controlling the game works very good. The first time in my pes carrier i had feeling something like stadion atmosphere. New Engine? For me i don't see so much differences. I am angry how it looks 'my favorite team napoli. Just some players like Barcelona original, the rest for get it. Hamsik for example looks f** bad , not like him, no iro!.
Online Gaming, the most important thing, as a bad camera angel and can't be change.
In the end i am worry, that i have paid money for a game, that's not developed final, looks very improvised.

This game is awful... while they have made changes that was required to make other PES versions better... they have made changes and now added more nonsense. The passing is awful... they have made fixes to things that were never broken... (Why are there arrows now during set pieces, why is it when I bring my keeper out it isn't automatic for the computer to clear the ball).... they have just made this game a f*cking maze and I'm sick to death of it. I have always been able to adapt to the game but this one baffles me... I play a through ball and once my player reaches it, they automatically pass it randomly... I can't believe I'm gonna say this but I will be playing PES 2013 and going by other people's reviews, I'm guessing it they'll be doing the same thing.

I really, really want to play PES 2014 as I don't think I will get used to FIFA 14, judging from both demos. But I will spend all of my savings on this game, and the complaints I'm reading everywhere do nothing but make me nervous. I hope some people are just overreacting, or otherwise, I could find myself with a nasty surprise when I buy the game and put it on the PS3.

PES2014 or PES2013

just curious to see who else thinks pes2014 is a huge step backwards from pes2013, i have shelved pes2014 and put pes2013 back in my ps3, the only improvement i could see in pes2014 was the chip shot. the list of things worse in pes2014 would i'm afraid go on for quite some time. this applies to both offline and online, which is still running perfect on pes2013. Is it quite as simple as blaming it all on this new fox engine???

Pes2013 is clearly better in all aspects except animation. I went back to 2013. My hope is that most online cheaters move in to 2014 and let us have great games. Even 2012 was better than 14. It's really mind boggling how konami blew it this year wow

sorry i created a similar thread without seeing this one first, also i voted for 2014 being better by misake pfft. obviously i think pes2013 is a far better game than pes2014.

might of been a good idea to add an option to select which game is better out of pes2013 and pes2014.

After playing with the latest PESEDIT patch and just having finished my first Master League season with Chelsea , here are my views concerning the game..

For all you football lovers , who love the game for what it is, battle of wits on the field, you will definitely dig this simulation of the sport.

I have been playing PES since Winning Eleven 7 , that's about 2004 I think? So almost 10 years.

And I can safely say this is the best version of PES to date. The gameplay alone is worth the purchase. This is the only football game that really reflects what goes into strategic planning in a match. When you get into the rhythm of things, your jaw will drop at all the possible ways you can punish the opposition.

Sure there are a lot of drawbacks as well but the gameplay and presentation more than make up for that.

It really does feel like PES 2014 is a small preview of what is to come in the ' next gen ' era.

Anyways I'm really digging the game and it would be a shame if people dismissed this game because of a few bugs or glitches ( I saw somebody mentioning grass texture? what? )

the ps3 version is broken, i dont know whats happened, but for the ps3 it is just lame, so for me its the worst version ever.

Im with you 100% on the new gameplay but its also very broken with a lot of bugs that make it very annoying... From players going on mad crazy husayn bolt like runs, to slow down and frame rate issues in the boxes, to players becoming unresponsive or simply standing in place while the ball crawls by them. Lets say this... the base and foundation is there, now they need to build the house because they put a trailerhome on the foundation that should have a mansion.
