I agree with Ali, the demo bored me. Not because it's rubbish, just PES fatigue I think. Incidentally, the full game doesn't actually play like the demo, it's faster. This is despite Bhatti and his cohorts saying it would be the same.

I was really swaying towards FIFA until I played the demo yesterday and that was shite as well, so now I have no idea!!

PES all the way mate!

I'm glad the full games faster though. I haven't played any PES for ages so i'm well ready for a session! I'm off for 3 days now so I can't wait to start a brand new Master League!! :w00t

His individual stats look ok at a quick glance, I never pay attention to OVR's as they change the formula every year

Be glad you don't play FIFA, futhead is just a bunch of kids complaining about OVRs. Oh well...

I bet you'll cave in once me and Reb start posting ML screenshots

About that...

PES all the way mate!

Sure, PES all the way, but Konami can go fuck themselves. I won't get it this year. No way I'm gonna pay €50 for a PES2016 with updated rosters. Not a chance. PES2017 reviews on Steam are a shitfest, and adding to the Denuvo + always online bullshit they used... so they don't have money nor time to implement things on PC, but spend shitloads of money in this?

I'm keeping my PES2016. PTE released a 2016/2017 season patch, I'm gonna install it and begin a Swansea ML. Never got to do it anyway.

I have decided to hold off not paying full price for an unfinished game I have sn xbox1 and kept the PS3 due to last years editing cock ups I'll just wait till some decent OF's come through on the PS3 till then back to ML I'm decided to do team rescues bored of making super clubs

Alright, this is my definite idea of what's happening. I got the demo from Steam, played two Barcelona x Arsenal, and then played two Barcelona x Arsenal in PES2016. At least for the demo...

- PES2017 is better AI wise. No doubt. I had always over 60% possession but failed to score (0-1 and 0-1). In PES2016 I had an average 50% and scored 7 goals (3-0 and 4-0), mostly from counter attacks (at least the first goals). They just defend better and make fewer mistakes. Attacking is simiar, but PES2017 still takes the edge. More incisive and dangerous. Still pingpong passing though.

- PES2017 might be better tactics wise, but the difference is not as big as I expected. Not a deal breaker.

- As for the rest of the gameplay, goalkeepers are much, much better, speed of the game is nice, passes and animations are more diverse and better (but I do prefer the Weighted Pass animation of PES2016, they all look like pros in PES2017). Improvements exist, just not as big as they should be. Oh, and Speed seems to have greater importance this year.

- PES2017's graphics, overall, are just a tad worse. Crowds I didn't even notice, faces are better, grass is much worse, the overall feel is worse, too much motion blur and bloom. I like it though, even if it isn't worth €50.

In summary, it is better, and PS4 surely has a great game, but the bullshit they pulled on PC gamers is not excusable. I won't buy the game (for now). I'll miss the keepers and less mechanical sliding tackles, but having less broken stats (that Body Control, oh Jesus...), better overall graphics, a patched game from the start and saving €50 is good enough for me.

Elias is still at Corinthians when he should be at Sporting lisbon

Fred is still at fluminense but should be at atletico mineiro

Alberto Bueno is at porto but should be at Grenada

What speed do you use in the game?
I'm finding it very fast game speed 0

In speed -1 the game is a little better. What do you think?

The only surprise is seeing people believe them this time. They've proved they can make a good game, but as far as transfers go they have always messed that up.

.

THIS!

Thought it was only me. Back last year you can actually tell the difference between the star long-range passers and the average one. Now they all look like Toni Kroos in their animation.

Has anybody else noticed that offsides are called immediately? The linesman doesn't even raise his flag or the ref blows the whistle. In the demo, we could see the player react to the decision before the replay was showed, now the replay starts directly.

Another note, AI does not chip in one on ones, they always try to outrun the goalkeeper or shoot directly.

Also, when you edit a players uniform details, the miniface disappears. Why so? We can't even edit their face and hair so the miniface will always be correct.

Last note, except for the European national teams, many others are extremely outdated and not correct. Same goes for some player nationalities that aren't correct.
Mastour and Ziyech for example, have been part of the Moroccan squad for more than a year, yet in PES 2016 and now in PES 2017 they still have Italian and Dutch nationality in the game. There are more examples and this also shows why many national teams are incorrect (if players don't have their correct nationalities, how can the national team be correct?).

In goal celebrations and when the camera approaches a player, the image is all blurry. This is normal? It's a BUG?

Downloaded the demo yesterday. Really enjoyable.

First impressions:
1) Sliding tackles are more difficult to execute.. In PeS2016 my success rate is almost 9/10 ... In PES 2017 I'm giving away yellow cards like nothing.

2) Ref blows whistle often for fouls and overly aggressive body checks...works both ways.

3) shooting is much tougher. I'm missing more often. In PES 2016, advanced shooting with full power bar low shot is a near certainty to score. Here shooting no longer has that robotic precision.

4) AI is really tough to break down.

Guys, sorry to talk about another matter.
But I noticed something . Whenever players celebrate the goal , the image is in frames. This is normal? It is happening to somebody else ?

I usually dont complain but same game as last year. Only 14 african teams. How hard is it to add 2 more to make it 16. Not one new league. Not one. Im sure you can only make one league in each region again. All i wanted was one new European league to make 8 leagues.

Late but I should point it out: at least they're not making Libertadores and Sudamericana brackets with duplicated teams anymore. I always mention this as an example, but it stands as the absurdity it used to be to have them, that PES 2015 had FOUR DIFFERENT VERSIONS of Lanús: one in the Argentine League, one in the Libertadores, and one in each Sudamericana (why even have two, BTW?).

I mean, they never made an UEFA Champions League or an Europa League block, why should they do it in South America? Or even in Asia with the AFC CL block separate from the Other Asian Teams block? Why not unify everything and leave the competition structure/format/branding to their respective game modes?

...Sorry for launching into a rant. It's just that this kind of thing drives me a bit nuts.

In goal celebrations and when the camera approaches a player, the image is all blurry. This is normal? It's a BUG?

If you mean the player appearing clearly and the background blurry, then yes. It's a bug that's called "focus", and it's such a big issue that even movies have it. Filmmakers, photographers, cutscene directors; no one's ever found a way to patch it.
