PES 2017 is only 720P on PS3?

Hi all, I bought the PS3 version and even though the back of the box says PES2017 can play at 1080P, it only plays at 720P when the game starts.

I have searched on google and I know most PS3 games only play at 720 due to the fact it's only developed with the 720p capability, however the PES 2017 PS3 package does say "1080P" ? Am I mistaken or I missed configured my playstation ? :no::no::no:

No, the PS3 will always play 720P, even if the game is 1080P. To make it play 1080P you have to go to video hdmi settings and untick all boxes except 1080P. But this will mean that games that only support 720P will be 480P, or you have to keep on switching manually.
