Real Madrid, Barcalona, Athleico Madrid, Liverpool, Dortmund & Schalke in the trailer licensed

Not correct, there is no R. Madrid in the Trailer... but PSG and AS Monaco (and Ajax ?!?). ;)

And, thx to pics from the E3 Demo, Brazil will be licensed, too.

Looks good, with better, more fluid animations. Players still have that 1 or 2 seconds of "shock" after being tackled, and you can't move them. Look at Reus at 4.11 when he loses out to Sergi Roberto. This shit pisses me off.

I hope they do something about the appalling AI of the CPU.

Unless you set every team to play "Long Pass" their goalkeepers insist on giving you ridiculous tap ins.

They had to patch half time substitutions in and the only real tactical shift from the opposition is to religiously go all out attack in the 67 minute of a cup game (every single cup game, never a league game) if they're not winning it, no matter what the context of the match is.

Is this really the best they can do? Makes me feel like I'm playing training matches not real ones, awful stuff.

The movement of the ball also needs more freedom and randomness to it, these constant laser guided just wide shots are starting to look a bit silly.

And let the players interrupt the flight of it instead of running away from crappy shots and stop them freezing or running away from loose balls in the box

I've been watching some gameplay videos. 3 main points I'd like to share.

1. Goalkeepers are incredible. Maybe it's the shock from so many years of atrocious keepers, but this year, they are properly good. Reflex saves, positioning, getting down on the ground quickly. Great stuff.

2. Animations are massively improved. It's not even close. Watching gameplay videos almost feels like real football. It's so fluid and beautiful. Not much else to say apart from "Finally!"

3. Shielding and body control. Players will shield the ball or upcoming passes and end that shielding as soon as we want (in PES2016 it last the standard 2/3 seconds and nothing can't stop it; not even a sliding tackle). It's like you pass to a player, but he's being chased by a defender, before getting to the ball he holds the opposition off and promptly runs as soon as the ball gets to his feet. I've dreamed of this. It's one of the main aspects of the real game, and PES includes it at last.

I'm hyped.

Sounds like you've been sucked in by the hype! I remember last year it was all the same "goalies are amazing" and "this is the best PES ever" and "you can do x, y and z now"!! Then three months later everyone has gotten over the honeymoon period and realised it's barely any different to the previous years effort!

I hope this time it is amazing, but I think I'll wait until it's in a sale this year. They still can't seem to get the simple things like a decent looking UI right. I mean, how hard is that? Sure, gameplay is king, but if the menus look terrible it does ruin everything slightly.

I bashed Konami plenty of times before, but this isn't what they're saying: it's what I'm seeing.

UI isn't and won't be a deciding factor for me. If the game plays well I'll buy it. Not on release day, but some time later.

Pre-ordering is a deadly sin.

I'm cautiously optimistic, but if the demo bores me like 2017 I won't be buying.

Am I the only one wanting to see an improvement in the pathetic AI of Cpu teams?

Defend, block, defend, intercept, block, defend. Pass sideways and backwards and occasionally play a killer 60 yard through ball that somehow takes out the entire defence. That's the gameplan 99% of the time.

Why don't they change formations? Why don't they switch to all out attack in league games instead of just cup games? Why don't they throw on extra strikers or switch from short passing to long ball and pepper your box?

I'm 2 or 3-0 up away from home and it's the CPU with everyone behind the ball playing on the counter attack! Ludicrous.

I think we would all rather feel like we've beaten the CPU's best efforts to beat us rather than a damage limitation exercise?

They better fix players playing other positions. Like how now a 70 rated CMF will play over a 80 rated DMF because their formation has 3 CMs. Or how clubs will sign a LB when they play with 3 CBs. You should be able to set different formations for each team. Offensive, defensive, and like two standard formations.

It's so simple to do so. Just "expand" the players' positions to the playable one, instead of being just the registered. They can even keep the biggest OPR method, they just need to expand their options.

But then again, players would need to have correct positions, which is not always the case. Xabi Alonso can play CF, according to Konami.
