PES 2018 News And Rumours

I have something else worrying me. Konami added 25 licensed teams to the "Other European Teams". Will they keep the fake teams that we had on PES 2017 there? I hope so, if they don't have fake teams I won't buy the game, they are essential to my projects. Any news/rumours on that?

What are those other two teams under classic?

They have now removed those 2 fake teams from the official list.

They're listed in the Argentine League section now for whatever reason. Haha. No clue why..

Well, I am not an expert on South American football, but Argentina league has 28 teams, right?. I've been checking the list of teams that participate in Primera Division 2017-18, and there are 2 teams missing (the 2 teams promoted). Argentinos Juniors are on "Other Latin America", and Chacarita Juniors are missing at all. And those 2 fake teams are occupying their slots?

'NW WHITE BLACK' - is that supposed to be Bolton? Should be WHITE BLUE surely?

I'd be surprised if otherwise. I'm not expecting anything beyond the usual for the past 4 years.

It would be good to have some new things, but for me, I only ask one thing: Keep the fake teams to edit, and add more if possible. I love to make the teams I want in this game. I hope they keep them, even after adding 25 licensed teams on other european teams section.

It doesnt matter if you can edit more teams when you can only make three leagues. If they didnt change it im not buying the game. Its the same game as last year. No major changes.

Konami should add more leagues (fake leagues cost almost anything), that's true. They should listen to the fans. If they come to this forum (and others too) and check people's ideas and feedback, the game would be much better.

However, it is important to have more fake teams in the "Others" sections. What about the missing Champions league/Europa league/Copa Libertadores teams, for example? What if you want to do a small team from your town? You need those slots to do them.

On PES 2017, I did (and I am still doing) lots of teams using those fake ones. They are really important. Lots of projects I've seen here, including my own, wouldn't be possible without those. The editing community would be very limited without fake teams. I won't buy the game if we don't have those. And they don't cost anything, so that's one more reason for Konami to leave them in the game. I hope Konami don't disappoint me and the other creators. It's because of the editors that PES series survive.

I like PES and appreciate the effort of editor!
But the truth is, Konami never listen to fans. Any feature we request, nearly no feedback from them. And even worse, they would cut some good feature suddenly...and a few series later, add back and say this is a new feature!
Unluckily, I would still buy the new game, and I am still playing PES2017 these days. Maybe that's why Konami do not need to listen us because we keep buying no matter they do.

I have to agree with you. If we all stop buying PES, maybe they would listen to us.

I am now dowloading the demo (It's free, so why not?), I'll see what has changed in the gameplay (not much, I guess).

I played the demo this morning very, very briefly and it did feel better to play, but maybe that's just because I've played 2017 for a year now and it's become routine and stale.

The problem Konami have, which must make them try to improve year on year, is that most football game fans are happy to buy the latest FIFA merely just to have updated kits etc. Because many teams in PES aren't licensed it's perfectly feasible for fans to say, well, I'll just update the kits for 2017 and carry on playing that. So the onus is on Konami to keep improving the game I think.

philips my bro! youre are right in all the things u said!
They NEED to put fake leagues because its important, i like it too to make smaller teams from my city and state that will never be in the game because they´re small! and why this fucking shit of konami need to take that away? I think the really truth its konami is falling apart the only game they have that is huge is metal gear solid and they are making shit on that game too... so... PES will be the same thing! Its a shame! here in Brasil we pay 229 R$ (reais) on the barcelona edition its the same as 72$ (american dollars) its a expensive game to pay for it and the game be a shit... konami shame us since pes 2014! i would preffer they made some work like they did on pes11, 12 and 13

For me, every time the demo, or even the very first version of a new PES is great.
But once they update, the gameplay would become worse! at least for 2016 and 2017 are like that.

I really tried to like the demo because I was really surprised how good the beta was online. However after a day playing my friends pointed out that dribbling is too easy even on superstar. So to test the theory I played as Barca on superstar and decided not to pass very much and try straight dribbling every time I got the ball. I won 5-2. Previously when playing the game the realistic way I was losing to the AI on superstar.

So then I thought ok, this was Barca and they have some amazing dribblers, although Umtiti is not usually in that category and he ran from his own half to score https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GlZfgk4GNbw So I thought I'd try it with a goalkeeper, surely a goalkeeper with his terrible speed, dribbling and ball control skills wouldn't get out of his own half let alone run all the way and score. Sadly it quickly became apparent that this was a thing and dribbling in this game is broken. Here you can see an example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2WkO8DuQLI

The AI doesn't close you down or block your run, they don't even have the pace or strength to outmuscle you off the ball. It's utterly bizarre how they say this took 3 years to make and nobody in that time noticed that all you need to do to score is dribble straight at the goal.

For online this isn't an issue as human opponents wont take too kindly to the opposition just running at the goal and shooting. But for offline on superstar difficulty, if this isn't fixed it's a game breaking error.

I've been accused of not being a proper PES fan because I'm trying to highlight this error which is complete nonsense as I want to play this game and enjoy it and until this is fixed PES2018 isn't a game, it's a 3D render tool. If the only way to enjoy PES2018 offline is to pretend you are barca and do lots of nice passes then PES is dead.

Konami really needs to start putting more effort in their game. As I already said, PES has the potential to be the best football game ever, but Konami needs to put more effort, create new features and stop looking only at Barça. Sure, Barcelona is great, but there are lots of other teams with great players and history. It's sad that they are always saying "We have improved gameplay, now it's even more realistic" and then we see things like this, year after year.

Hello all. First post on this forum and I'm also new to Pro Evo, so please go easy on me.

I was just wondering will Old Trafford be available on PES18? Likeliness of the stadium etc, via an option file or otherwise.

Thank you.
