Hello all. First post on this forum and I'm also new to Pro Evo, so please go easy on me.

I was just wondering will Old Trafford be available on PES18? Likeliness of the stadium etc, via an option file or otherwise.

Thank you.

No Old Trafford. Unless you're on PC and it'll only be fan made, not official.

sadly, you are correct, especially last sentence

Konami really needs to start putting more effort in their game. As I already said, PES has the potential to be the best football game ever, but Konami needs to put more effort, create new features and stop looking only at Barça. Sure, Barcelona is great, but there are lots of other teams with great players and history. It's sad that they are always saying "We have improved gameplay, now it's even more realistic" and then we see things like this, year after year.

Here's what Adam Bhatti's said about bugs.
I hope Konami will repair all bugs (especially game speed which is faster than beta version and dribbling).
Because the game was good in beta version but, in this Demo version, it's not a very good game

I have been buying PES for 18 years, for the first time I may not. The game looks great and have potential but ruined by AI and too many flaws. I don't agree with those saying it's similar to PES 2017. Animation and graphics are clearly better.

It reminds me of PES 2014 which was the first on fox engine and had many flaws but it was understandable since they started building the game from scratch.

I will probably wait and see how the game plays after launch to decide on buying it.

One last thing, Adam Bhatti way of communicating with fans is really off putting. I remember him tweeting that he was offended when a fan said he doesn't accept criticism while he later called some fans closed minded. Also he always exaggerates in a way that hurts the game. Honestly, I appreciate his effort but he shouldn't be communicating with fans as he makes things worse.

The AI doesn't close you down or block your run, they don't even have the pace or strength to outmuscle you off the ball. It's utterly bizarre how they say this took 3 years to make and nobody in that time noticed that all you need to do to score is dribble straight at the goal.

And it definitely isn't the first game where this happens. PES2015 and 2016 had the same issue (no idea about PES2017).

This ^^^
He always comes across condescending and deflecting blame to developers/others but is happy to accept all the praise. He's been constantly asked about any editing features but because I suspect there is no good news on editing he refuses to answer and has now put all the onus on editing sites (Pesworld & Pesuniverse) to 'drip feed' the info as they're (allegedly) getting the info early so as to again deflect criticism away from him. If there was good news I'm positive he would have told us by now.
The game has been made to cater for a (very vocal) online gaming community and away from the traditional editing/offline master league players as that's where the monthly pay check is coming from. I just hope they haven't killed the PES we all love completely in doing so.

I agree with everything you wrote. Editing must be exactly the same. I only play offline master league & i seems like they just care about online. I've been playing since pes 5. I feel old because i dont know what my club even is.

Am I really the only one in this forum who actually thinks the game looks very good  I played the demo and I didn't see huge flaws in it, rather vice versa, I like the game a lot and it looks promising. Can't wait to play it!

I'm happy with the game, the gameplay and the graphics are great, I can't wait to play the full game either, even though it still have some flaws, but it's still the demo, maybe they will be fixed in the full game.

However, I think Konami still could put some more effort on the game, specially on the amount of leagues, teams and stuff). For example:

- They could add some more stadiums. They had all stadiums from La Liga in 2013, plus a stadium editor. Couldn't they bring some of them back? Or maybe, Stade Louis II (Monaco)? Or some of the portuguese stadiums?

- They need to improve the atmosphere in the matches. For some teams, such as Barça or Dortmund, which have their chants playing at the beginning of the matches + their real stadiums, it's great. But when you go play with some teams that aren't official partners, every stadium sound the same. The ideal would be letting us add our own chants, like we did in the times of the ps3. But adding some presets, like we had in ps2, would already be nice.

- They need to improve commentary. I've been listening to the same guys for years. And they are repetitive and robotic.

- They need to get more leagues. For example, they licensed 4 teams from greece, why don't they put the rest of the teams in the game? They could be fake teams, option files would fix them. The same for Turkey, Belgium, Russia, China, Japan or even a league from Africa so we don't have Pleasure Horn every year on the Club World Cup. It would only make the game better.

PES has the potential to be the best sports game ever and a great community which edits and makes the game perfect, what are the developers waiting for?

First thing to do when firing up the game for the first time is shutting up those muppets.

Hahaha  that one made my day

I did that when I played FIFA 15 on ps3, I was trying to play Ultimate Team and they really pissed me off every time I failed a shot or conceded a goal. I guess I will have to do the same in PES.

Those guys are annoying, at least on the portuguese edition (english version is slightly better on FIFA, I never tried english commentary on PES, I must try it one day). Nothing against the commentators, they aren't bad (but there are better ones, I must say). It's because of the repetition that they end up being annoying. Still, FIFA commentary is a bit better than PES (not much better, it's still repetitive but it's not so robotic).

Playing the Demo without those 'muppets' talking feels good, but at the same time it feels a bit empty, like if there was something missing. They need to make a more dynamic commentary, record everything from scratch (or hire another 'muppet' to do that ), and also add more commentary names, both of players and cities. We also need more emotion when we score a goal, specially if it's a last minute goal or a goal in the Champions League final, for example.

I think I'll have to put some chants on my USB flash drive, and then play them randomly during the games (I don't know how I didn't think about that earlier).

I think it's not because of the commentator, it's because Konami is too lazy and suck. Have you guys ever tried playing NBA 2K? Their commentator is good, mostly because they have a LOT of script in it. Konami just doesn't care about that at all.
Good thing I got the game for free this year too.

True, I wish you could create and import/export leagues so we can have all major leagues from the world. And for stadiums too, wish there was a stadium editor, at least they have added new stadiums for PES 2018 and they will add more in the future. About the extra leagues, I have no idea why they don't try to get any, even unlicensed. Maybe they have limited resources, too small staff to keep extra leagues updated or not enough money?

I may have sounded too negative before but if the game is broken offline it's no good to me. I don't do online (although the 2v2 & 3v3 could be great if you could make your own friends lobbies) and I have no interest for Myclub. So the people pushing the game have moved on and are leaving the likes of me behind. But I refuse to believe I'm in a minority regarding offline play. I fear if the offline players don't get the new game and sales take a hit Konami would have no incentive to spend money on the next version and we enter a viscous cycle.

With regards additional league's it may be a resource issue although it's not so much updating them (they would be fake so no need) but for a 20 team league that would be approx 500 players to create.

Edited to add. The commentary is terrible and has been for years. Bring back mp3 team chant imports. They could do that on the PS3 ffs

I think one of the biggest issue pes developer are facing is the limited budget compared to EA. That's probably why they are trying to focus on online, my club and south american market. I remember Adam 2 years ago saying something similar regarding their need to increase the budget through increasing the revenue. Also the team of developers working on the game small compared to EA and that probably limits their capability on improving the game

Ok, fair enough, but there are some things that they could still do better.

For example, what does fake leagues cost? Even if they are completely fake, like PEU League, they would be a nice feature to the game. I'm sure Konami knows that people like them to make their own leagues. Only on this forum, for example, you can find a lot of leagues for PES 17: German League, Scotland league, Hungary league, etc. But we can only choose one of them.

If they added fake leagues, they would not have to pay a cent for licenses and they don't need to pay for more employees to keep those teams updated.

Thats why they should have 2 fake European leagues. Bundesliga needs to one because it has a lot of good teams and another one people can chose to make. Bad news thou, someone posted a 2 minute video of edit mode and everything looks the same. Same leagues. If you cannot add an eighth euro league then im not getting the game.

Yes they really could put at least 2 fake european leagues.

Could you please give a link to that video?
