This is probably pure nonsense, but maybe fun to speculate alittle. They said that the 2nd divisions were gone because there is not enough room. I guess that only applies to editable leagues? Because they added a bunch of licensed ones no problem.

So, now editable leagues that stayed are: England, PEU, PLA, PAS. Portugal was perhaps replaced by licensed Portuguese clubs. So editable stuff that disappeared: Spain D2, Italy D2, 6 European clubs. Thats 22 + 22 + 6 = 50. If PEA is replaced by CSL entirely, that means that 16 new teams will be added, even though 4 are in AFC CL already. The same concept must apply to Buriram United, so Thai League will take up 18 slots. 50 - 16 - 18 = 16 left. Hmmmm...

Liga Aguila has 20 clubs. Millionarios and Atletico Nacional were there already and there were two spots taken by Internacional and Guillermo Brown that werent replaced. So, 20 - 4 =16. Then it adds up. This is a stretch ofcourse, but could it be possible that this is how it works? Idk. The Colombian division is somewhat fishy, because it was never anounced, just popped up there in the game upon release. Could have been an editable league full of fake teams until last minute.

By the way the PEA wasnt great for editing, because of having only 16 players in teams. So most OFs that used it pulled many players from elsewhere, or used many creation slots. Alternatively, the squads were very incomplete. I tried to install the CSL that was converted to PEA, but couldnt because it needed many more creation slots than what i had. I spent hours base copying the created players to fake players without teams or duplicates, only to find out that i still couldnt use it because it wrecked some other teams, especially Hajduk. I guess it used some fake players from other continents, or maybe the same duplicate/free agents. And the next day i find out it will be licensed :laugh:


Anyway, long story short - trying to overwrite PEA was a disaster. I totally agree, it should have been locked or hidden.

I think PAS League will stay in game. Before the launch of the game, I've asked on twitter about those generic leagues, and Adam Bhatti said that PEU, PLA and PAS would be in game, so, I think they won't remove PAS right now.

And the whole thing with the PEA League is a bit weird. Why giving players a league they could edit and then 2 months later wipe out all of that work? At least, they could "lock it" so players wouldn't waste time editing it just to lose it afterwards. Or, even better: If Thai league comes in an extra spot that has been "hidden" in database, why wouldn't they do the same with Chinese League? I mean, I knew the game was being released incomplete, but I was expecting outdated kits and transfers not being done, not something like this. It sounds so amateurish and disrespectful. Things like this are what made me stick to PES 2018. Konami won't get another cent from me unless they do something that's actually made for the players and not to fill their pockets.

My friend you are 100% right, but it is KONAMI we are speaking here and we already now after all these years that PROFESSIONALISM and KONAMI are two completely separate meanings. Also for PEA despite they did not tell us their plans from the begging, it was strongly hinted by database editors that it was a placeholder for a new League added latter through DLC.
I personally had that in mind and did not messed with PAS and PEA since the beginning., i only took some greek players from PEA to edit them, so now to avoid OF fixing, i uninstalled every option file,reverted to the vanilla version + Live Updates and i wait to restart my heavy editing after the DLC.
It is shame for all these people working in the OF community, but here again KONAMI does not respect us by not giving proper editing tools, like a creation center to download team edits directly, or to fix more simple problems, like Images stored in PS 4 in serial form, so if i have 900 images and decide to delete 20 from the middle and then import 50 new images to use them manually, i must scroll to find the first new 20 in the middle of old 900, then find the 30 rest in the bottom of the images menu screen. I believe you feel this problems better than me as you contribute your OFs to the community.

For the moment i am sticking more with 2018 and less with 2019 fro other reasons,more important for gameplay, i find close control better in 2018, but this is an other conversation. The only tempting thing that turns me to get in 2019 to be honest, is the 40 players roster slots which freed my hands in editing. Until last year this stupid 32-players limitation was a pain in my @$$. PES 2019 opens so much potential from editing perspective, only from this by now.

About the Chinese clubs, i really hope they subtract the chinese teams from AFC CL and go to a separate form in CSL. I am afraid they will bring back the routine of 2015-2016 when teams from LATIN AMERICA existed 2 and 3 times in the database,1) in their official League (BRA,ARG,CHI) and 2) in Sudamericana and/or 3) Libertadores.

And yes, I feel those problems as well, when I delete images I have to write down on a paper which "slots" they were so I can go there and find the newly added images. And it's also very painful to scroll through 1000 images every time you want to import/add a new kit and it is on the bottom of the list. I mean, why wouldn't they add a shortcut to go down faster? like L1+Down, or something like that? Even assigning kits is painful! For example, you have to scroll down, assign home kit, and then you want to assign away kit and you have to scroll all the way down again! Why can't it "save" the "position" of the last kit you assigned, like what happens with stadium images?

PES 2019 Data Pack 2 - Gameplay Improvements

- COM opponents will now play less long passes from the centre of the pitch to the wing

Also wish they would add a feature on importing a team where you choose a box to import as 2048 or 1024.........would save so much time from having to manually convert team files over 1024.

Guys, why is everyone moaning. They are adding the CSL, a league which most people add via option file. Yes, it's delayed and has wasted peoples time which is regrettable of course, but it means in the future it's one less thing to have to edit and it frees up kit slots etc for other purposes. There's literally nothing negative about it. And one fake league will still be left so we can have J-League as well. In the past we had to choose which was the more important to us. Now we don't have to.

I really hope they will not have duplicate teams like you said abou clubs in 2016 edition, we had Boca Jrs with Tevez and without Tevez, that would be bad if they do the same with CSL. But knowing Konami we need to expect that.

For me the most important thing that concerns gameplay is defense positioning and reactions to double-pass and L1+triangle pass, they look so dummy during those two... and as well player (CB) positioning while opponent is marching on wing, CBs just dont go back they allways stays step behind opponents CF. Really dusgusting when playing online.

League and K. League, Saudi Arabia league, Hong Kong league, a league from Africa, or any others.. You could have it. But if they put CSL replacing PEA, you have to stick with that one. They are locking out your options. So, it ends up being good for some people but bad for others.

Totally agree. I dont care about asian or south american leagues. I dont want fake leagues that i have to edit for them. They should be able to be turned off.

I understand your point [MENTION=17243]tomassi[/MENTION] , as I've said before, some people just want to play the game and don't care about asian or south american football, and that's perfectly fine. But other people like me like to edit and customize the game, whether it is creating All National Teams patch, Classic teams or creating lesser known teams and leagues. I think this is a very special and unique feature of PES, and I don't want to lose that. For example, in PES 2018 I'm making a big project with teams from all over the world, including a lot of european teams. And, since many editable teams got removed from PES 2017 to PES 2018, I had to replace Spanish 2nd League. On PES 2019, there would be no chance of me making that project, unless those PEA League teams go to Other Europe or something like that. Also, without the generic D2, and the impossibility of editing Liga NOS which is now licensed, I can't even make my 2nd portuguese league project. So, with all the problems that PES 2019 currently has (really hope they're fixed in update even though I don't own the game), plus no 2nd portuguese league, no other european teams or around the world teams, and no All national teams patch, the game wouldn't be fun for me. This is why I stick to PES 2018 and 2017.

Also, you have to consider that PES is a game that is sold worldwide, so, we have to think about football fans from all over the world, not just the europeans who don't care about asian and south american football. If you go to south america and ask them which leagues they want in game, they'd probably want leagues like Uruguay, Brazilian Serie B, Argentina Primera B, Liga MX, Libertadores, etc. Those are all leagues you probably don't care about but they are important to those countries. And I think PES should always give us the chance to create them, improving the edit mode which is now a core part of this game.

That's why I think they should keep those leagues or even add more editing options (like an african league, a 2nd european league, and generic D2 for Europe and South America - seriously, lots and lots of people request this, including a lot of people who'd like to have Brazilian Serie B), but with the option to turn them off, like [MENTION=104522]The Dude[/MENTION] pointed out, for those who just want to play and don't care about that. This way, everyone would be happy.

This is just my opinion, but I'm sure I am not the only one thinking like that.
